This place is one of my favorites. it's cheap and delicious. The dumplings are on point and I'm in love with in the pear salad.

EXCELLENT passionfruit tea. Pork dumplings were solid but not amazing. Juicy pork buns were really good. Scallion and indian pancake were on the dry side. Spring roll was basic but adequate. Soy sauce was definitely watered down, I supplemented with my own and my own hoisin. Excellent value for the price. Have only had delivery from here so can't speak to the actual location. read more

It's really hit or miss with a few of their items. The dumplings are amazing, and so are the pork buns, I love them! The pan fried pork dumplings are delicious! Sometimes I will go and have amazing bubble tea, but sometimes it will be too cold and the tapioca bubbles are stuck together. It's one of the only bubble tea places around, but not the best. 4.5 stars for an order of different dumplings, rolls, and buns. Everything was very good, the value and quantity was great. The guy behind the counter was very nice. My wife didn't like her vegetarian dumplings but I thought they were very good. The shrimp in my buns was lacking in quantity and didn't have much of a taste, but considering factors like price, speed of cooking, and the variety of other fillings, it wasn't much of a problem but I might stick to other proteins in the future. Not sure what everyone else is saying, but Kathy's dumplings are full of flavor, there is a good balance between meat/veggies and dumplings are juicy. Everything is reasonably priced and well worth it, especially the bubble tea/smoothies. Would definitely come back for more dumplings when I'm around the neighborhood. read more

Kathys dumplings is a cheap eat for sure, but DO NOT let that blind you. The food here is great. Love the scallion pancakes, and the spinach dumplings. We always pick up the Chinese salad too. Best dumplings around! You can go with vegetable , the chicken and pork with carrots or pan fried pork dumplings! Grilled chicken salad also strangely addictive. One word... barf. I ordered cold Korean noodles, 2 bubble teas, pork buns and steamed pork dumplings. Noodles...TERRIBLE ( noodles tasted like cold, watery, sweet nothing with tons of cilantro and ice cubes floating in the broth..... the strawberry bubble tea tastes like some one put strawberry jam in milk and added some jellys, so sweet and fake flavored and the dumplings had an odd flavor that I am not used to for dumplings. The buns were okay I guess but buns are buns.... Puke, puke puke ..save ur money. read more

This place is just ok...nothing too special but not bad either. My bf was craving some dumplings and didn't want to drive to chinatown for it so we settled for here. I personally wouldn't return bc I've had much better dumplings in the city or 8th Ave brooklyn. I do think this is a good addition to the neighborhood, but I suggest you brooklynites venture out to find more legit dumplings! read more

Very good dumplings place if you're in Bay Ridge. Others have said it's pricey, but I've been to much more expensive places in Manhattan. You can tell the dumplings are fresh and they haven't been sitting in a freezer for weeks. Definitely worth the trip to deep Brooklyn. read more

Never again. Most of the food was disgusting. The only thing I thought was the wontons. I don't know how this place is still open in Bay Ridge. How do they pay the rent? And the place is VERY dirty. I tried both the hot and cold bubble tea and they were so weak that they basically tasted like lightly flavored water.

I ordered food here for the first time last night, hands down the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. I stopped in when they first opened and they were terrible then, but I thought I would give them another try. I was so turned off to them that I felt obligated to let unsuspecting people know. This is my first review ever! I ordered the Indian curry pancake, super dry, overcooked and no curry. The pork dumplings were burnt and tasted acrid. Not pan-fried...burnt! The scallion pie was bleh, the beef sticks were so tough that my dog wouldn't even eat it, and the pork buns had areas where the dough was still raw!!! Absolutely awful! read more

Love this place! The staff is friendly. The space is very bright and clean. Everything is prepared to order, so there is usually a bit of a wait for food, but it's worth it! The dumplings are light and delicious. Their bubble teas can be hit or miss depending on who is preparing them. Great value for the $$. read more

Came in on a weeknight around 8:30 pm. Ordered 2 dumplings and some buns. Was told the order would be ready in 10 minutes, so we sat and waited...and our food did not come out for 45 minutes. We inquired as to where the food was and they assured us "it was coming". There were only two tickets in the window so they were clearly not busy. Both the veggie and shrimp dumplings were bland, as well as the steamed buns. Probably will not be back and can't say I'd recommend. read more

Feeling hungry, I was driving by Kathy's Dumplings. Ordered the pan-fried potstickers and Green onion pancake with beef. Also ordered the Milk Tea boba. The food was great! Not only because I was hungry, but the potstickers had great filling and the skin was nice and thin. The pancake had good flavor with the beef and it was like a soft taco. The boba was good, but the tapioca balls were clumped up at the bottom. Overall, it's great if you are in the mood for potsticker dumplings. The food is great. read more

Favorite dumplings place! I always get the steamed veggie dumplings, which taste super fresh and i love their soy sauce (not sure if they make it themselves or not). The bubble tea is addictive. Their cucumber salad is awesome. I got my father to finally try it, and he loved their hot and sour soup and pork fried dumplings (he's usually a tough critic with restaurants to begin with). I ordered the #5 (chicken & pork dumplings w/ carrot juice) and the #17 (pan fried bun w/ pork, and shrimp). I really enjoyed the fried buns they weren't greasy at all and had a really nice texture. The dumplings were good too although I don't think I'd order the same ones again. I see some people complaining about waiting for their orders, it took them about 10 minutes to make mine on a saturday night. Would deffinitely like to go back as they have some interesting items on the menu I would like to try. The place was also very clean and the staff was very nice. read more
