Came here because of reviews. Nothing was really amazing, fried dumplings had an unusual taste to them but still fine to eat. Also had a shallot pie, was tasty. Ordered a taro milk tea and took a very long time to come out, almost came out with the food which took 15 minutes, saw the staff standing around and chatting for a while before they decided to make the drink. Little disappointing tbh, was expecting a bit better. If the service was a little better and the food was a bit tastier I would give it 4 stars. read more

I would have given them a great review, because everything tasted great - UNTIL I found a hair in the middle of a dumpling, wrapped around the filling. Obviously, very very disgusting. Not ordering from here again. read more

Everytime I pass but I always want to go in. The place seems small and more as a takeout place but has seating. I got the chicken with noodles soup asking the guy if that was good for one person. The soup came in a huge bowl that could of been spilt with two people but fulled me up since it was all I ordered. The place was clean and soup was hot and fresh. Awesome dumplings! I really love the service. Just make sure you get your sauce they forget to throw it in the bag for take out sometimes. Overall the chicken celery dumplings (steamed) are amazeballz and so is the pear salad. They have great bubble tea too! Try the peach tea with milk! This place is clean and they have done a lot with a tiny space insofar as decor. Menu is limited but a nice selection. Dumplings, noodles and everything else I have tried has been very good but to me, this is more of a 'snack' place in the sense that the portions are small. So, you probably will not be satisfied if you are looking for a big dinner. Also, they are closed on Sundays and generally keep shorter hours than the typical place so call ahead and ask when they close. read more

The dough is super thick and the meat was a bit dry. 90% of places on 8th ave make better dumplings with their eyes closed. Also tried the buns here, not great but ok. Everything is so good. I get the passion fruit bubble tea with jelly, chicken celery dumplings, vegetable dumplings and the vegetable spring rolls and summer rolls. It's fresh, satisfying and filling. My favorite dumpling place! Highly recommended! read more

Really wanted to love this place and have a go to dumpling spot without hitting up Flushing or Chinatown, but was ultimately disappointed. The dumplings are not bad, nor are they great. They dont stack up to the fare being served in the aforementioned places, especially the well known spots like Joe's Shanghai or Nan Xiang dumpling house. I got the Taro Bubble Tea and was surprised to hear that it was only $3.00, so cheap! When I actually tried it however, it tasted like watered down hot chocolate and absolutely nothing like Taro. Super upset, I thought I found a good and cheap spot for my bubble tea days. read more

Was craving dumplings especially soup dumplings, so head over to Kathy's to try their dumplings. The juicy pork bun were quite tasty and settled the craving! The pan pork dumpling was fresh and good as well. My only complaint is that they need bigger spoons for the juicy buns, since they are a yummy size. read more

Pros: Violet cabbage and pear salad was fresh and delicious as was the cucumber garlic salad. Soda for a dollar. Clean. Very reasonable prices. Cons: Fried pork dumplings were very well fried but only on one side so the doughy side was stuck to the paper plate it was served on. Don't bother ordering the scallion pancake- flavorless dough. Still blows away any dumpling in Chinatown - Kathy's pork dumplings NEVER have that nasty gristle ,glob of disgusting fat that you bite into every time you eat a Chinatown pork dumpling- just recently discovered the soup dumplings(though they are called something else on the menu which is probably why I never tried them before) and they rock also - Kathy food is always hot and fresh and delicious and delivery us fast :) read more

Soup dumplings were very juicy although could've used some more flavoring. Scallion pancake was awesome and the wonton soup were legit chinese style and hit the spot! Pan fried pork dumplings were average, nothing special. Would def come back if I'm ever in the area. read more

I just ordered takeout here for the first time and I must say I was disappointed. I ordered the wonton soup which was pretty good. It's thinly wrapped as opposed to those very thick wrappers that I despise. Next item was the steam pork dumplings better known as soup dumplings. I did not care for this at all, it was very bland and you only get 4pcs per order. I will for sure venture out to Chinatown to get my soup dumpling fix next time. Also had the scallion pie that I do not recommend, it was very doughy and not enough scallion flavor. Lastly, had the pork fried dumplings which were mediocre at best. This place is more expensive than your average hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, which I wouldn't have a problem with if the flavors were there. Totally worth the high reviews! This is a hole-in-the-wall spot. The food was fantastic, the guy at the counter was really nice and helpful, and we were so glad we stopped in for lunch! We had fried pork dumplings, steamed shrimp and luffa squash dumplings, and a chicken summer roll special. The summer roll was particularly nice, with very fresh veggies inside.
