Homemade biscuits and gravy, great coffee, excellent service, welcoming atmosphere. Great pankcakes. Highly recommend. Plenty of parking.

Service was great Ambiance was mid Food was okay The patty melt was good but only came with four zucchini sticks but they were really good. Burger steak and eggs were good. The Bloody Mary was a bit weak but it came with a piece of bacon and an olive Prices are high compared to Z in Bonsall Whole pies are $28 Would come back for the zucchini sticks 10 for $12 and the cinnamon rolls look good too

These are the fish and chips. The fries were only warm and the fish, although piping hot, was not really a traditional fish batter.

We tried Katy's diner today and were really underwhelmed. The food was not accurately described in the menu and was at best, ok. The service was excellent and the restaurant is clean and inviting. I understand that this is a new restaurant and so I will give them some time and try again in the future.

I went to Katy's Diner for the first time and had their spaghetti and meatballs. It was delicious. The meatballs are super tender. Spaghetti sauce was nice and sweet. The portion was adequate. The service there was outstanding and quick. The place is clean and neat. My wife and daughter had hamburgers which they loved. Overall, it was nice and the ambience was perfect for a diner.

Been here twice for breakfast. Both times the food was great everything has been fresh and hot. Service is very friendly and really good. The biscuits and gravy are amazing. We'll be going back probably this weekend.

    French dip

Had lunch at Katy's with my mom last week. I appreciated that one of the employees saw us just after we started walking to the front door and the side door marked with a handicap sign as my mother walks with a cane. Once inside and at the front of the restaurant we were greeted and asked if we'd rather sit at a table or booth. There were a few other diners. Timothy, our server, was very peppy. My mom had the French dip and I ordered the Hit Turkey sandwich. Our server shared the sides that came with the sandwiches so I got fried zucchini. I was confused when my hot turkey didn't have mashed potatoes. Tim was quick to bring over a small cup of them once I asked about them. He said the chef said if you order one of the sides, you don't get the potatoes. I wouldn't have ordered the zucchini had he not asked which side I wanted. I'm sure this being a new place and crew, they will learn what goes with what. Diners who sat near us after we ordered had the same experience as I heard one of them ask where the potatoes were. The food was good. Will give a little time before coming back to try breakfast.

We had a great experience at Katie's Diner. Our server, Ashley, was wonderful and attentive. The happy hour specials were excellent, and the chicken wings were especially good. Next time we visit, we'll have to try the desserts. The atmosphere was great--exactly the kind of diner Fallbrook needed. We will definitely be back.

Exceptionally well trained staff! All kind, pleasant, inviting, happy servers who seem to love their work, workplace and coworkers! Any idea how rare that is in a large restaurant setting? Very! My waitress was Flor and instead of being stumped about my query about waffles; she said "let's find out together!" She took my order and proceeded to get some additional items (extra napkins, creamer, coffee) and kept checking in (vice leaving me with questions about the menu). They had a lot of staff, and it seemed as if everybody was constantly busy. Chow was great! My over-medium eggs actually were (rare) and the waffle was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender cakey in the middle! Outstanding experience overall! Come and enjoy a peaceful breakfast lunch or dinner at Katie's Diner! PS: I'll take pics of the food on my next visit!

We cleaned our plates, food was very tasty!

Garden Center Cafe was on our list, but due to their limited operating hours, it took us a while to visit. Unfortunately, now we think we understand why they do not operate full hours-not enough customers, maybe. Ambiance, cleanliness, polite/friendly staff all 5 stars , but the food quality did not match the look/feel of restaurant. We ordered a Chinese Chicken Salad 1. Greens had black-gooey-rot. Obviously not fresh, most likely from a container and past it's time. Picture included. Wontons very stale and wax box/package flavor. Assuming they came from a box from warehouse that sold the black rotten greens. Dressing, was poured on thick, which made for a heavy / syrupy salad. Cabbage was dry and at the end of its cycle, you know when it gets those black dots on the white part of red cabbage. Chicken strips bland and maybe 1 1/2 ounces (for a $20 plus salad from a bag of rotten greens) . I kept looking for the chicken. 2. Scrambled eggs, sourdough, black beans and a side of Ham Steak. Eggs not fresh, maybe a carton - liquid eggs, black beans were actually a combo of red/brown/black - not the black bean flavor we were expecting or what menu stated . But, out of the entire breakfast they were the only decent thing. Ham Steak- NOT a Ham Steak just a slice of ham from supermarket -thin-and very processed -cheap quality. Sourdough bread was also the lowest quality sourdough you would find at a discount grocer. To summarize, the ingredients, produce and proteins are of the lowest quality. Bland, spoiled, packaged/processed food. Price for each dish was $20+ AND if you use a credit card you get a 3% surcharge. My husbands final words while dinning, "this place reminds me of one of those restaurants in those rehab shows- where the chef spits the food out because it's so bad" Like I said, it's a shame because the restaurant gives off a good vibe. They gotta work on the food quality and maybe they will get more customers and be able to open normal hours. Definitely will not be coming back

This one of the few places in town that is a nice but casual restaurant with a good menu for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner too. The prices are reasonable too. They have a great bar with drink specials. I've tried a few cocktails and sweet wines as well as their coffee selections. Today's visit was at lunch time with a friend. I wanted to show up early to get on the wait list early so my guest didn't have to wait. To my surprise, I only had to wait 5 minutes. The wait time was much longer when we were leaving Parking does get full quickly at the top area. Just remember there is parking below, but you will have to face stairs to reach the top level to see the hostess for seating. My lunch meal that I usually get is a Chinese Chicken salad, today was no different. I usually request for extra dressing.. My husband and I like that they do serve soda water. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. I forgot to point out that when I come with family we prefer outdoor seating if the weather permits. The reason being is that it is loud inside. There is background music, but it could barely be heard because of the echoing of people talking. It is difficult to hear the people you are there with. Today I opted to sit inside because it was warm outside. Well, it was pretty warm inside so the next time it is warm outside I will opt to sit outdoors any way. Great food, nice bar, outdoor seating and good prices. You''ll find me back here.
