Good customer service and communication throughout sales, manufacture, and installation. Bill patiently chased down enough square footage of a discontinued carpet and coordinated getting it bound to spec. I believe KF is the only company on island currently binding carpet into large area rugs. Part two of our project was replacing wall-to-wall carpet in a room and on stairs where the modern architecture requires a clean precise look. Matt's 20+ years of experience came into play with tight measurements/cutting, thoughtful placement of a seam, and expertly mitered corners. We are happy enough with the product that we purchased from this company. We dealt with Doni and Scott on the sales end. Our issues were entirely on the installation side with Josh who forgot to bring our baseboards. Initially - he did not think we purchased them when indeed we did and then he did not want to come and install them until the following week which did not remotely work with our timeline and one of us coming up on a major surgery which is a pretty big deal and stressful in and of itself. We never got a response from an email complaint sent to Doni, the store manager and finally did get a crew to come and deliver them after complaining and stressing over the matter. Because of this issues I do not feel that I could recommend them with confidence to anyone else on the island and I personally love to network and recommend businesses that I am confident in - sorry this is just not one of them. While I appreciate the business owner's reply below & compliment on our choices - a personal email response or phone call at the time of the issue would have gone a whole lot further. We would also like to compliment the work and professionalism of the individual installers themselves. Issues seemed to all lie with middle management who need some serious brushing up on their customer & communication skills in our assessment. After 40 years of living on Kaua'i I have many people who ask me for referrals and sorry but this will not be one of them. read more

We needed to get new carpet for our new home and chose Kauai Flooring over Home Depot. We stopped by their showroom and was immediately greeted. Was shown the samples and chose a particular color and brand. But since we were on a deadline, we had to choose another since the one we wanted would have to be shipped from the mainland. But we chose a similar colored carpet which was to come from Oahu. We waited several weeks, along the way they contacted us to say it will be alittle while longer since someone got Covid. Then later we were given our installation date and time. We were excited. A week prior to the date I made a hotel reservation since we were anticipating to not be able to use our bed. The night before we cleared off all the floor areas. The morning of the installation we cleared off our bed and moved it to the kitchen. Then we wait. Two hours later my husband gets a call that they couldn't do it that day. We were upset! They did not give a reason why they couldn't do the installation. He pleaded and was told they will call back. They called back and said they can send someone the next morning. Meanwhile I went down to the hotel in person to change the hotel reservation since it was hours before check in. You don't get a refund to cancel if it's 24 hours before check in but I was able to change it for the next day without any penalties. So the next day a guy came by to start the old carpet removal. We were relieved it had begun. Randy, Keoni, and Jessie did a amazing job at the installation process. Carpet is beautiful and comfortable to talk on. read more

We had new carpeting installed two years ago in our condo at Kiahuna Plantation by Kauai Flooring and Interiors. Due to use one of the seams started to open up. We contacted Kauai Flooring and Interiors to see if that could be fixed. They responded very quickly and sent Matthew over. Matthew is wonderful! From sales to the installers - service was outstanding!! Brandon took his time with me in the showroom and let me take samples home to mill them over in our house. The products they carry are such a higher quality than Home Depot and not too much more in cost. We just had laminate flooring installed throughout our condo. From the moment we walked into the showroom until the last quarter round was finished, Josh (the sales person) was there for us. He helped us pick out the appropriate material (we went with vinyl), color, etc. He answered every single question and was patient while we dealt with our HOA to get the proper permissions for the install. The installation team (Keith, Des, Jeremy and Keoni) were top notch. They approached their work with a professional attitude. Everything had to be just right for them.
