I think this was 4 stars but giving 5 because I think overall rating should be at least 4. Check in was easy. Parking was easy (didn't have trouble finding a spot at all. I could see how parking is annoying if you have to valet but valet is at least free). Room was upgraded and nice. Beach was awesome. Lava Lava was decent (beautiful views). Lots of shops nearby. While visit Kauai, we chose KSH because it got great reviews and felt like a central spot to the airport, food places and to the north side. From check in, we had friendly service from the front desk to valet. (Self) Parking is limited but you can valet for free. Just send a text to have your car ready. The room was a bit cozy for my liking, 2 queen beds for the three of us (hubby and 19 yr old son), but it did its job. We were mostly out. The plus was the lanai. We had a 2nd floor room, considered an ocean view but it faced the restaurant (lava lava club) and open field. There is a quiet time enforced so it doesn't get noisy after 9 pm. But you also get to enjoy the live music from the restaurant. There are water filling stations which is fabulous! Tip- use the one in the lobby! It comes out a lot cooler. You wake up to waves and can walk the shore or sit and enjoy the sunrise. Or opposite: watch the sunset! A short walk from coconut marketplace- enjoy shaved ice, eat at a restaurant, shop at various boutiques. Check out ABC country market- food, souvenirs, snacks, musubis, gelato and more! Cons: The shower pressure needs to be turned up. The AC works well but the bright light of the temperature kept me up. I wish we could turn that off. The tv guide wasn't working and we had to press the channel button up or down to watch. This is a nice choice if you're looking to stay in Kapaa. I would absolutely stay here again. read more

I think this is one of the best hotels in the Kapaa area. The front desk staff was very helpful and kind. I had a complicated reservation and they took a lot of time to help me. I like that that they have free valet parking, onsite restaurant, beach front location, free morning yoga, laundry facilities, 2 pools and a hot tub. The restaurant had great take out service with tasty breakfast options. Dine in service was a bit slow but still enjoyed myself. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would stay here again for future trips. read more

Located in Kapa'a, Kauai. I have mostly wonderful things to say about this property. To sum it up, it's a great value, located in a spot that is not too crowded, not too many kids, the right balance between lively atmosphere and peacefulness and very central to travel to other areas. We stayed in the "kitchenette rooms" which comes with propane stove with pots and pans to cook, a full sized refrigerator, and sink. The silverware and knives were nice to cut fresh fruit with. Our room was big enough and beds were comfy. It was quiet enough for us. As we came in January. There were many guests there, but it wasn't overwhelming. Lava Lava Beach club had live music to liven up the nights at times. My favorite was the bicycle ride north to Kealia Beach, which is my favorite beach! If it's your honeymoon, they give you a box of Macadamian chocolate nuts. Pros: - Valet parking is free - Self parking is free (but a challenge if you come back late) - great central location in Kapa'a, easy to get to Poipu, Kilohana, Lihue, Princeville and Waimea Canyon with a do-able drive - great friendly service at front desk and room service - Free bicycle rentals. First come first serve. We got it at 2pm and grabbed the last 2 bikes. The bikes were very comfy and great on all terrain. - 2 Pools and 1 jacuzzi - access to the beach - Great value, you get alot for what you pay - Free photobooth that prints instant photos in the lobby Cons: - The room was a little bit dark. More lighting? - Parking was a bit of a challenge as it shares a lot with Lava Lava Beach Club - Kitchenette rooms were farther from valet parking and from the water stations inside the other buildings, but not a big deal We really enjoyed it here. Got this hotel through Costco because it was the cheapest package available on Kauai and I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was a solid hotel in a great location if you want to drive to both the north and south parts of the island. Not too far from the airport and Costco if you opt not to have a car (although you should really get one). We just had a standard garden view but our room was very close to the water, which allowed me to see the sunrise and sunset every morning. The waves are so calming, and if you're lucky, you'll catch a seal chilling on the beach (just let him be). This hotel lets you rent bikes, has morning yoga on the beach, and is walking distance to a farmers market that is on Tuesdays and Thursdays that I recommend checking out. You are also within walking distance with a lot of other stuff if you don't mind walking a little farther. And you can bike to a lot of places, too. There is live music at the restaurant right next door every night which is a treat. My one gripe about the hotel is the parking situation. It is it's hard to find a parking spot if you get there after dark. However you can always valet your car for free. And the valet staff was cool and let us park our car close to our room when we were checking in and checking out. Because our room is close to the water, it was far from the parking area when we did get a spot, so something to be mindful of. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who is going to Kauai the first time and wants to be in a central spot. I would not recommend this hotel if you just want to lay on the beach all day and go swimming. While you can walk out to a beach area, it's not the most swimmable, and there are probably better hotels for that. Also if you are a light sleeper like me, I would recommend the garden view, which is the cheapest room type available. We were still able to kind of see the water, but the room was nice and quiet which I really appreciated. The pool view would probably be the noisiest, and it really seems like you don't get a lot of privacy there. read more

Everything about this hotel was great except for the parking. The lot is very small and if you come back after 7pm, you probably won't find a parking spot. The valet is free though. They just encourage you to tip the valet every time. The rooms were spacious and clean. The lanai (balcony) was great also. We stayed on the 2nd floor and my kids would sit and eat outside thanks to the amazing Kauai weather. I like the filtered water dispenser machines throughout the property. We didn't have to buy water because we re-used the water bottles they gave us. There's a restaurant on the property that we did not get to try. The hotel is located on the beach also. Too bad the waves were too rough so we did not go in the water there. There are 2 pools and 1 hot tub. You can also rent free bikes to bike around the property. The front desk person said there's a bike trail we can bike for a few miles. This hotel is only about 10 min from Lihue Airport also. read more

Overall: 9/10 PARKING: The lot is small, but they have complimentary valet, so it's no issue. They even have a free text message program where you just click on the link to retrieve your car, they will get it for you while you are walking to the valet circle. Reduces time and inefficiency, great perk!! HOTEL: It is not a part of a larger hotel chain or corporation. The buildings are old and retrofitted, but honestly I am picky with hotels, and this place is great. It is on the beach, maybe not a good idea to go for a swim on that shoreline, but just being so close to the ocean is wonderful. Each room has a quiet AC unit, and a ceiling fan. They offer Kauai Coffee K-Cups to use in the Keurig in your room. Includes disposable hot cups, little creamer cups, and sugars. All rooms have mini fridges. They have a handful of kitchenette rooms if you needed a sink, bigger fridge, and microwave. All rooms have a lanai, the 1st floors have a lanai that leads directly to the lawn or pool area outside your building. There are 2 pools, 1 hot tub, and fire pit, lawn games, and beach cruiser bikes you can borrow (for free!!) to cruise around by the hotel. There are free filtered water stations around the property. There is even a free photo booth in the corner of the lobby, and it prints out 2 strips of 3 photos, so retro! The Lava Lava Restaurant is on site, and a good option. NEARBY: The hotel is also located next to Coconut Marketplace which includes a large general store (it's the same company as ABC stores) but they also have prepared foods, coffee bar, and smoothie bar. There are also restaurants over there to choose from, and small shops to browse. Just past that shopping center, there is also a Long's Drugs (aka: CVS) if you want to go for a long stroll. read more

The beach in front of the hotel is more for strolling and sunbathing than swimming or snorkeling, the surf can get rough. Some rooms offer ocean views just steps from the shore. The good stuff: Two outdoor pools (one with ocean views). Lava Lava Beach Club right on the sand, very popular for food, drinks, and live music. We enjoyed having dinner at this restaurant, they also offer great food, the freshness and quality, excellent! There is a free morning yoga, bicycles for exploring Kapaa, barbecues, and social spaces. Great value for a beachfront property in Kauai. My husband and I stayed at Kauai Shores over the holidays last year. Upon arrival, they gave a box of Kauai Kookie treats which was such a nice little surprise. During our stay, the hotel was busy (as expected over the holidays) but not "too" busy and we didn't have issues finding places to sit or hang out to enjoy the hotel amenities and weather. Depending on the time of day, we were sometimes able to find available loungers to use at the beach or pool (free to use) and chairs by the fire pits at night, and we were always able to find available sandy stretches at the beach (a big plus since some of the other beaches we visited on Kauai were so packed!) or seats in general. We had a ground level room facing the pool so able to peek from the lanai to check, which was a nice perk. Price: As many other reviewer mentioned, Kauai Shores is a good "medium" hotel - it doesn't go too far into the $$$ category nor too far in the budget category. The rooms and common areas seemed like they had been renovated or remodeled recently. Parking: Parking can be a nightmare sometimes - again, depending on the time of day, but especially in the evenings when everyone gets back from their activities. It didn't appear to be checked in any way and the parking spots were really narrow so cars often overlapped more than one space. My understanding is the hotel parking lot is for hotel guests only, but perhaps I'm mistaken since it looks like customers going to the hotel bar/restaurant or the beach used the lot as well.That being said, there's valet parking if you don't want the additional headache. Amenities: The beach is right there next to the hotel, which was super convenient. The waves can get rough so if you're looking to swim in calmer waters, there are also 2 hotel pools to use (the pools were usually quite busy with families and kids though). The water refill stations around the property were a nice touch, and they provided two metal reusable (but disposable) water bottles if you didn't bring your own. (And not an "amenity" per se, but there are a couple of plazas that are walkable, so that's a big plus if you want to go for a stroll and browse shops and restaurants.) Overall had a great stay here (minus the parking) and would definitely want to stay here again the next time we're in Kauai. read more

Had a great time in the cool classic comfortable hotel. The remodel is wonderful. There is a quiet understated in a new well done way. The gardens have 50+ year old scheffleras that are thoughtfully manicured to host gorgeous orchids. The palms are as tall as any on the island anywhere. This is extra impressive for me as I have the same type growing in my yard a fraction of the size. So, 5 stars for the walk about in the garden and beach. 5 stars to the staff, who were absolutely fantastic. 5 stars for the water station. We had this in Oahu also but I think this is one of the smartest ideas I've seen. 5 stars for the comfort and cleanliness of the room. While we did get bumped to the pool area (not our top preference), it was because they hooked us up with super early check in and the ground floor. (WHOO HOOO!) 5 stars for Lava Lava but that is another review. My only suggestion- maybe some nice hooks to hang up bags or jackets. Overall, at the price point, this is a winner. 10/10. read more

Nice comfortable size beds. Bathroom is decent with decent shower head and water pressure. Balcony opens up straight into the room with privacy curtains. Depending where your room is, it can get quite noisy with the busy patrons walking about near the pool areas. I wouldn't recommend the first floor rooms because there's no blockage between your room and the walking areas outside. There are many activities that you can enjoy throughout the day. There's a beach nearby, but not very swimmable since the waves are hard. There's areas that are preserved for specific endangered birds nearby. The yard games are fun for the kids. There's a projector playing movies on specific days. Staff is attentive and helpful. The only con I'd have is the parking. There's a minimal parking lot with new lines that gets confused easily with the old lines. They have valet parking as well, but to even reach the front where the valet is, it can get quite complicated because the drive up area only fits one car at a time, so during busy times, it gets too hard to even drive up for the valet. This hotel is walking distance to the Coconut Marketplace, which is nice. I like that they provide wristband hotel keys to be able to go swim without worrying where your room key is. This was our first time at this location and won't be the last. read more

Recently stayed during the long Labor Day week and really enjoyed my time here. About a 15 minute drive up from the airport, it's nestled between many other hotels/condo style lodging. The reason I chose this was due to the central location between the north and south shores, where we would've eventually venture off too, to enjoy outdoors activities. The facility is spacious with numerous varying styles of rooms. Our room seemed recently renovated and roomy, it included two double beds, A/C, fan, a mini fridge, Keurig and an outside patio facing the parking lot. However the walls were thin, you'll be able to hear neighboring tv sounds, toilet flushes as well as full on conversations in the hallways. It's got a few things (amenities) going for it: Complimentary Valet - Nice to have, you have to text when you want your car pulled up to the entrance. However if you don't mind a short walk or parking near your room there is outside parking that's free for all. Laundry - $2 for a load, $1 for soap. If you need quarters you can get them from the receptionist. Filtered water stations - Had we known we would've saved a few dollars and brought refillable bottles. Rental bikes - Didn't get to use these but saw there were plenty of them to borrow. Morning Yoga - This was a pleasant start of the day with the sun just peeking through the clouds and a minor rain shower blessing our session. Sit Down Photo Booth - Located in the lobby, it's a cool keepsake of your trip. Pools - Two pools, both on the smaller side (4 ft deep) and a hot tub on the main pathway. The staff was always friendly and prompt, providing great hospitality! Overall a wonderful location during our stay in Lihue, with a beach nearby and surrounding eateries, sans the minor inconveniences, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. read more

You will get both sunrise and sunsets with picturesque views. The place is gorgeous and charming. Coconut Marketplace is next door. We stayed here for 4 nights. It was perfect for our little girls trip. We had the pool view room, and we loved it because it was right by the pool, super close to the main lobby, and right there by valet parking. Customer service was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and just the right amount of space for us. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub use. Love how we noticed them cleaning the pool every morning. So happy with our week long stay. From proximity to main road, cleanliness, size of standard room, two pools, jacuzzi, and being steps from the water this place was perfect. Check in/out process was simple and staff was so very friendly. They have free self and valet parking, free bike rentals on a first come first served bases, free yoga in the morning, and filtered water refill stations. I do have to say this place has two annoying things. 1st you have to stand in line to get and return beach towels. 2nd parking spaces are small, you have to have amazing parking skills to avoid hitting parked cars and don't get me started on getting in and out of car! But truly those are my only two complaints besides that this place is absolutely perfect! One last thing this place is walking distance from coconut market place which has restaurants, shops and best of all an ABC store! It's also walking distance from Napali brewing, passion bakery cafe and other places! read more

We checked out and when we got to the airport my husband realized he left his wedding ring by the coffee maker. We called and not only did they go and find it, but they mailed it back. We had such a great 5 night stay here! Here's the breakdown. Pros: - Location: The hotel was in a perfectly central location (especially if you rent a car)- right in the center, about an hour from the West (Waimea Canyon State Park) and the North, and (less than an hour from Princeville, Hanalei, etc.) It's also only 10 hours from the airport. Pro tip: use Turo to rent a car- some will even drop it off right at the hotel- instead of waiting 3 hours at the car rentals at the airport. You're also in walking distance to the Coconut Market (ABC store- one stop shop for anything & everything you could possibly need- from food, to sunscreen, to clothing, to coffee), a bunch of different restaurants, beer, food trucks, coffee shops, etc. We also walked to the Sleeping Giant trail which was a lovely easy/moderate hike. - Service: The staff couldn't have been nicer. Novella checked us in and had some incredible recs. The gentleman who ran the valet (which is FREE- unheard of these days) was awesome. Housekeeping was great too. -The grounds: The hotel has a retro feel. The grounds are well manicured, has 2 pools and a hot tub (open until 10 pm, where as most hotels close them way earler), fire pits everywhere, string lights, tons of seating, and is right next to the beach. They even have lawn games. We absolutely loved it. There's also a restaurant/bar, Lava Lava Beach Club, on the grounds. It's separate so you can't charge food/drinks to your room, but is worth checking out. Definitely on the pricey side but the cocktails and bartenders are great (fresh juice, generous pours), and the coconut sorbet is unreal. -The hotel: This isn't a super fancy hotel, but it doesn't advertise to be. However, it's clean, the rooms are spacious, come with a fridge, have a large bathroom, and are just what you need. the bed was super comfy too. I'd recommend opting for a renovated room and maybe a garden or pool view so you don't end up facing the parking lot (which I imagine is a standard room). They have free water dispensers around the hotel which was such a nice touch. They also give you cards so you can pick up free beach towels to use a the pool or beach. -Valet: Did I mention there's FREE valet? Most hotels I've stayed at in Hawaii charge $60 per day. You can request your car via your cell phone and it'll be waiting when you get there. You can also self park if you'd rather. Laundry: They have coin op laundry available until 10 pm! This was SO helpful since we were heading to Oahu after Kauai and were able to wash all of our clothes, swimsuits, etc. before heading there. You can get $10 worth of coins from the front desk. There's even have single serve detergent for purchase in the laundry room. -Other: They have free bikes you can use from 7 am to 6 pm and free oceanfront yoga in the AM. Price: This was one of the most reasonable, nice hotels we found. I was going to book via Chase travel, but found we got a 5th night free if we booked direct so we went that route. Be sure to check the "Specials" portion of the hotel website! I've read that you can also book throuch Costco. Cons: - I really can't think of any cons. There are no robes, if that's important to you, but that's truly all that comes to mind. Overall, we really loved our stay here. We went from here to the Halekulani in Oahu, and I can honestly say, while it was beautiful and definitely felt like a 5 star hotel, we preferred our stay at the Kauai Shores. It just had a lot of character, comfort beds, the most personable people, and was just a whole lot of fun. read more

Kauai shores is a fantastic hotel option that is family friendly, clean, and a great location for exploring the whole island. It's very safe. They have a small beach right on the property next to the restaurant. Complimentary valet parking which is so important- the parking gets full at night and people can't really park well so this was so helpful. First off, shoutout to Angela at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and selected a great room for us for an early check in. She let us check out to room before bringing all our stuff in too. The service here is amazing. The rooms are clean, look like they are newly refurbished. The AC works really well for these hot days too. They also have beach towels you can swap out at the front lobby. I appreciate how often they got us fresh towels for the room. There were cute chickens on the property- love them. Our room had a great view. Our trip was hiking/outdoors focused so we were not in the pool much, but it looked very clean and well maintained. We got loaded tots one night from Lava lava beach restaurant and they hit the spot as a late night snack! They have good happy hour deals too. Everyone on staff were nice and very kind. On this side of the island, I feel more relaxed and it felt less chaotic. I am 100% recommending Kauai Shores to folks visit!! read more

Freshly remodeled, think the few remaining rooms should be all done too by end of June. Fantastic hotel for Kauai, very clean and comfortable rooms. Bathroom fixtures were better than high end resorts, wish I had all those in my own house, lol. Quite a large campus so everything felt spacious and clean. Lobby was open and airy and clean with friendly people to check in and check out even at 5:30am. Loved the water refill stations placed throughout, so fast and easy to refill 2 provided bottles to not have to go buy a pallet of the club store water. Did initially buy few larger water bottles from Walmart, and used those big bottles to carry extra refills daily. Lawn games looked fun, and got to dip into the pool for an hour or two on one of the days. The pool looked small in the pictures but it was actually a decent size and was perfectly nice. But no real need for pools in Hawaii, since just a short 5 min drive south to Lydgate Park opens you up to what you came to Hawaii for, ocean. 2 protected pools that still gets waves trickling it was the ideal playground since the smaller one was well protected and perfect for little kids. While the adjacent larger pool was plenty enough for adults to venture out sufficiently. When down south around the Grand Hyatt area (which seemed to be the best hotel on Kauai), I noticed the beach was not really usable due to strong waves at Shipwreck beach, so everyone was just in the resort pool area. I much rather stay at Kauai Shores Hotel and get some actual ocean play time at Lydgate park. Lava Lava beach club was good for drinks on first night, but never got to eat there since had so many other places to try for food. However, they seemed to have live music daily, even during day times. Giving the entire hotel a lively, aloha feeling, never a dull stagnant atmosphere while staying here. Kauai Shores hotel was perfect for my family to explore the island and be available for good price to allow overeating all those good foods around the island! For the early risers, the sun rise happens at the left side of the beach here, worth getting up for. Kid was sad to leave the hotel, kept asking will we come back to Kauai Shores hotel? I said if we do come back to Kauai, yes I would definitely come back to Kauai Shores hotel. The best overall balanced hotel on Kauai. Yes, the parking at night can get a bit difficult, but luckily every day we came back, we were able to find a space. Just don't get a big car for rental. read more

Love the mid century modern look. We felt like we were in Palm Springs. Nice restaurant and some outdoor activities. The best thing was there weren't a hundred screaming kids here. This hotel is perfect if you are planning beach trips or other excursions and need a bed to sleep in at the end of your day. The only complaint I had were the beds which were too firm. Softer beds would be great, other than that, we will stay here again. read more

This place reminds me a bit of a revamped Howard Johnson's - recently redone and clean, but you can still tell it's an older property. The rooms have modern decor, which looks nice, though having to store luggage under the bed wasn't ideal. The bathroom shelving is great (especially for wet gear), and the balcony is a great feature (though it feels a bit dated and isn't fully partitioned from neighboring rooms). I appreciated the thoughtful touches: water refill stations (bring your own bottles, though they sell some for a small fee), communal umbrellas in the hallway, direct beach access, and even a little heritage path where you can spot native birds nesting. There are also free yoga sessions in the common areas, a photobooth (free, though I believe photos will be public), and several pools that staff keep quite clean. Free towels are available at the front desk. If you're staying a few days, bring quarters for the laundry machines - they're relatively cheap compared to other hotels, and it's great to get a fresh load done if you want to travel light. That said, a few downsides: some guests act like the pools are their private territory, which is odd. Pool parties can get noisy, but people are good when quiet hours hit. Parking can be a pain after a long day out, but valet spots are usually available (just bring cash for tips). The most unpleasant issue was the pervasive weed smell throughout the property, wish it was more strictly monitored on a smoke-free property. Staff aren't overly accommodating, but remain professional. Location-wise, it's right next to a plaza full of shops and restaurants, plus free bike rentals on-site if you want to go further out without driving. Overall, it's a solid stay for the price, and I'd return if I'm back in Kauai. read more

We enjoyed our stay at Kauai Shores during our recent trip to Kauai. This is a slightly budget friendly hotel as compared to a lot of the others on the south shore, we also loved the location, right on the beach, and central to get to all locations on the island. They have some parking available, the spots are tight and are filled early in the evening. They also have free valet parking. Be ready for the older buildings, we knew what we were booking. Our room was spacious, had had some updates, could use more updates. The bathroom was on the smaller side, and could be updated. The room and the hotel were very clean. We enjoyed a number of meals at the Lava Lava Beach club, we loved having dinner or breakfast on the beach. The service was friendly and quick. On one of the days during out stay, they had a fair with a number of local artisans setting up stalls on the lawn and the lobby. It was great to buy some gifts from them. read more

Wonderful stay at Kauai Shores! A lovely place for a recuperating trip. The staff was friendly, helpful and attentive. The kitchenette room was comfortable for 3 people, spacious and all the resources you need for a week stay. We enjoyed the free morning yoga everyday and the bikes. The hotels location was also quite convenient, easy to access restaurants, hikes, and the beach. We can't wait to come back. read more

Pretty sure I booked a courtyard but I think because we checked in late we were given parking lot view. The parking was a bit difficult in the evening so try not to comeback too late or leave out for dinner. They did have a complimentary yoga class in the morning which was nice. Stayed here about 5 days. Mostly was out and about touring so wasn't in the room much except to sleep. read more

I could not love this place more! Hotel staff was SO friendly and accommodating!!! We had a super quick 1 night stay but enjoyed this facility to the absolute max for 24 hours! Restaurant with a bar on site with crazy awesome view, ocean front lounge chairs, comfortable pool with views, complimentary bikes to use along the bike trail (100% recommend!!), and comfortable air conditioned rooms. read more

Kauai Shores is in the unenviable position of being right next to Lae Nani, which has a court (a stone's throw away from Kauai Shores) where they let their guests play pickleball. I think pickleball is a great sport, just not in an area where people are trying to rest and sleep. Did you just spend time in the sun on the beach and now want to take a nap? I hope you don't mind the incessant sound of *thwack* *thwack* *thwack* instead of the sound of the ocean. Want to sleep in late after a night of Mai Tais? *thwack* *thwack* *thwack*. Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Kauai for the first time. Great location, beautiful grounds, ocean front, and super friendly staff. The rooms were clean and updated recently and daily room cleans if you desire. Ample parking on site and great amenities like multiple pools, free bike rentals, and chairs on the beach. The only issue we had was our main light in our room turned on almost every night atleast once ore twice and usually around 10-11p. Since they are all on remotes, we assumed it was a frequency issue and interfered with a room nearby and being startled awake by lights and also having my 4 year old try to sleep was tricky. We would definitely return and just hope the light issues are resolved. read more

We picked this Hotel because of all of the top ratings. The people that work here are super nice and friendly. The rooms are so dated, the carpet is gross, and it's touch and go if you're going to have hot water. The steps going up to the second floor where an indoor outdoor carpet , filled with sand and dirt. The 5 days we were here, Nobody even bothered to vacuum or sweep them. read more

What a fantastic hotel!! My husband and I stayed for a week on our honeymoon and were delighted by our accommodations. We had a pool facing room and aside from our neighbor's snoring, we slept very soundly. The grounds are well maintained and the beach is within walking distance. We especially enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi (the pool is not resort-fancy, but it serves its purpose). There was yoga in the morning, which we sadly didn't make it to, and free bike rentals. The restaurant onsite is really fantastic and right on the sand. We felt this hotel was 100% geared towards our age-demographic (millennial), with the midcentury modern designs, fun/free activities, and lawn games - we loved it! The location is on the east side of the island, so very central. We easily made it to the North and South shores within less than an hour. We booked through Costco and felt it was well-worth the value. read more

Wow what a pleasant overall stay. Pros- very well maintained property, loved all the greenery, flowers from hibiscus to orchids which are my favorite, water filling station, clean rooms, in room fridge with 2 complimentary water bottles, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap! (Big plus for me) Clean pools, few steps from the beach and on site restaurants and shops. The lanai was clean and loved the overall ambience. Loved the photo-booth touch inside the lobby and daily yoga. Cons- 1 itty bitty con that isn't 100% on the hotel but parking spots are tight and it doesn't help that guest don't know how to park and doesn't have courteous in their vocabulary. Going back to pro- they have complimentary valet - take advantage of that and just tip! Overall would definitely stay again and would read more
