Back on 2019 I had an irrigation system built by a landscape company in Portland. I recently…read moreneeded some work on it and called them but they indicated they no longer do work in Vancouver, but when I asked if there was anyone they would recommend, they said Simple Lawns. I had a problem with two leaks in the irrigation system. You could see water getting into the valve boxes when you turned on two of my zones. My suspicion was that the water pipes coming out from the valve to the irrigation tubing had broken when I had a contractor install a pumped sewer system last fall. The trench for the sewer pipe went across the water outlet pipes from the valve boxes. I called Simple Lawns to see if they could come work in fixing the leaks. They were able to schedule a visit by their irrigation expert within a few days. I paid a deposit which was for the service call to diagnose the problem and assess how much it would cost to fix. The employee came and looked it over and was able to fix it right away. He had it fixed within an hour or two. I was surprised it was possible to fix it so quickly, and he indicated the cost would probably be just the service call fee or a little more. The one slightly odd thing was I didn't get a email from the company to indicate the job was completed and that there were no additional charges. But the repairs were successful and they didn't send any additional bill, so I figured that was the situation. I was dreading trying to get those leaks fixed and I was amazed how quickly they fixed them and that it cost way less than I expected it would.

Brett came out and gave us a bid to redo our front yard that is solid Ridgefield clay and the grass…read morenever grew right. Our house is 8 years old and the sprinklers the Builder put in we're not in the proper location for coverage. I received my bid Within 5 days and was added to their schedule to start within a week. They dug out 8 in of the play after the grass was removed and hauled in really nice topsoil . They rework the irrigation system in installed new heads in the correct location for proper coverage. In the planting areas they amended the soil and installed all new plants with drip lines to them. Then they installed new hemlock bark and had extra and so they spread it in my backyard to refresh in that area. They had all the right equipment and a mini trackhoe and six workers that were very good and courteous. I highly recommend this local Ridgefield company did a fantastic job.

Absolutely 6 out of 5 stars for Lawn Care by Dan!…read more After the snow and *ridiculous* cold in late February 2023, we came home from some errands around 5pm to find our rear sprinklers were running... Hmm...we'd shut them off for the winter in October... Found a cracked valve that must have been frozen and thawed in what little afternoon sun there was. Yelp to the rescue! I reached out to 3-4 businesses through Yelp. Lawn Care by Dan was on the phone with me in 10 minutes, was here on-site 15 minutes later. We had a workaround 5 minutes after that (crisis averted - YAY) and we have a proper repair scheduled for sometime later this week after the incoming weather passes. Again, 6 out of 5 stars!
