Epic Apartment Move-Out Cleaning! We hired Kaui to clean our apartment before the final move-out inspection. Landlords are notorious for finding small defects and not returning security deposits. With hundreds of dollars on the line I wasn't about to mess around cleaning the place myself. Kaui arrived with a big truck and 5 people. They came through like a SWAT team and got the whole apartment done in 3 hours. It's now cleaner than when the building was built. It's SPOTLESS!!! Kaui's team does cleaning all over the island. She claims to have gone to bay for several tenants in the past to help get security deposits back from unscrupulous landlords. I continue to have them clean about every 3 weeks. Kaui is very trustworthy, reliable and accommodating. She is fully insured. Let's just start when i first contacted the business. I got a call from the owner within an hour and she came by pretty quick to give me a quote. I was able to schedule my cleaning for the following week. It's a family run business but it doesn't mean it's a mom n pop style of service tho. I was very impressed They were very professional and cleaned my home amazingly. They have attention to detail (especially the owner). They even worked around my dog who was following them and to play. :) I have a 3 br home (approx. 2000 sqft) and they were done within 3/3.5 hours, including shampooing my carpets. Kau'i Kleaners is the third house cleaning company I've used for a move out. The other two were referred by friends but weren't available this time around so I found Kau'i Kleaners through Yelp. Dealing with Kau'i of Kau'i Kleaners has been a mixed bag... she's a great communicator, very responsive and the home was cleaned thoroughly, but actually getting it cleaned and then the payment process afterwards wasn't very smooth. My appointment was at 2 p.m.; she texted me at 12:55 p.m. that she needed to push it back to 3 p.m. as they were running late because a team member was a no show. At 3:30 p.m. she and one of her team arrived with limited supplies as the others were still at another site. The rest showed up at 6:30 p.m. but they called it a night at 7:30 p.m., saying they would finish my home the next day. I was okay with that since 1) I allowed for an extra day as a contingency and 2) I knew my son would be at the house to clear out the enclosed backyard anyway. I also agreed to pay her 50% of the cleaning fee ($225) through PayPal as she requested. When it came to paying the rest of the charge, Kau'i sent me an invoice for the full $450 again through PayPal with a note that I had already paid $225. She asked that I pay via "friends and family". I rarely use PayPal, but okay, when that option comes up, that's what I'll do. Long story short, that "friends and family" thing never did show up as an option and since the invoice was for $450, that is what PayPal sent her, so I ended up sending her the full $450 on top of the $225. She sent me back $215 instead of the $225 saying that she was taxed so she would only refund me the $215. I noted that when I return something to Home Depot, I get back the entire amount I paid; they don't take out taxes, so please return the $225 I sent. She agreed to return another $10 but just before she hung up I distinctly heard her say "Bitch". Really? I'm a bitch? I still didn't get the entire $225 back since there are fees or something or other that PayPal charges. Lesson learned. Don't use PayPal for this kind of transaction. read more

I've never written the bad reviews before but THIS IS THE WORST VENDOR I'VE EVER MET IN MY LIFE. I've been in mainland for 16 years and here for 7 years. And I owned 3 different houses my own and rentals for 3 houses. I've never met any other vendors more rude and terrible than Kaui. First in the morning, when I went over the places where to be cleaned, she said 'I will leave if you say another word, i know what to do", I couldn't believe what she said. Entire time she was unbelievably rude. Her original quote was $1000 for deep cleaning. yes it's a big house. Worst of all, she demanded to pay $500 more because the grout cleaning took more time than she thought. She intimidated me to pay. When it's supposed to the final walk thru, a cloth on the kitchen cabinet was still there from the morning, obviously they didn't even touch it. She replied " well, I put it back after wiped. What a lie. Also, she irritably responded " looked good to me," and do nothing to any places I pointed out it's not cleaned yet. I wasted $1500 for the worst vendor experience. Kaui's crew was a blessing to have. A very down to earth family with an exceptional work ethic. Every person on the five man team that tackled the monstrous mess left behind to me by the other tenants did what they do best, even though it was from super late on a Friday night! Typically, people call it a day when the sun goes down, but they persisted and didn't stop until they knew that house was saved. Their attitudes were pleasant and although there was quite a number done to the house, it was left spotless when they completed it. Absolutely worth your money and time. Bought a deal on a Angie's list for $22 for The first hour of cleaning and 3 more hours that would be paid out at the end for the remainder $122. For a total of $144 for 4 hours. When Kaui got here she said it would be $35 per hour per maid which she had 4 show up. As I was showing the house she made comments to her co cleaner in front of me saying "we are going to be here for a while".. Which insinuated to me longer than the 4 hours.. ( I just wanted my house cleaned for the 4 hours and to pay the amount I agreed to. Even if that was to have one cleaner in the house per hour and them switch off. Or even if they wanted to have two cleaners in the house for 2 hours whatever.) She was intimidating/somewhat bossy from the get go. And seemed irritated as she was explaining this deal that apparently a lot of people get confused about. She said she had to take the deal off of Angie's list because too many people thought the same thing. I told her I needed to ask my husband first. My husband went down to talk to her and clarify the deal. She was then extremely rude to him. My husband had to ask them to leave because of the attitude and uncomfortable feeling we got. This was very unprofessional. If the deal was confusing to that many people that she had to take it off Angie's list then she should be understanding and try to work around what our expectations were and the amount we wanted to pay. Rather than be irritated, belittling, to a new customer. Not at all how I anticipated this experience to be. So disappointing. We did have a budget which is why I looked for an Angie's list deal in the first place, and I also didn't need every nook and cranny cleaned. The house was neat, just dusty, and floors needed to be mopped. If only the downstairs was able to be cleaned in two hours with two cleaners. That would have been over $35 an hour for two hours of cleaning. (Which is a lot) And I would have been fine with not the whole house being cleaned. And with better communication we could have reached this conclusion together. But an attitude about the misunderstanding/confusing Angie's list deal and poor communication made this impossible and uncomfortable. I just like nice people..Not people with belittling attitudes especially coming to where I live for a service. read more

I will first start by saying that the crew does a great job and is very friendly. The owner however I should have decided to take our business elsewhere after our first meeting. The professionalism of the owner is absolutely atrocious. In the 3 months we hired them for every other week the owner always had an excuse for something. Beware Kaui No Show for move-out cleaning estimate "overlooked it" didn't have address or phone number, showed up disorganized and rude. Couldn't answer question how long it would take to do a move-out cleaning. Kaui said "I can't do it" and walked out. Apparently she needs all day (8am until 5pm) to clean a small 1 ba house. Never got to the cost for cleaning...Bad attitude and unprofessional, obviously doesn't want the business. I received an estimate from PWC who can clean the house in 4 hours. read more

They cleaned my 3 bedroom 3 full bath home thoroughly. During my clearing inspection, the property manager said that it was one of the best cleanings he has walked through. We had our first cleaning experience with Kaui's Kleaners. They did an amazing job on our home. Her crew is very professional and friendly. My kids bathroom looks brand new. Our master bath had red dirt stains that they were able to get off. Everything from top to bottom was done. Windows, blinds, floors, bathrooms, etc. I saw no flaws and didn't have to do any touch ups myself. My husband now wants to hire them for a bi weekly cleaning,lol. When they both retired, we were at a loss for a replacement. We interviewed several different vendors but we're quickly turned off by either their lack of follow through or their unwarranted high prices. We were at a loss. Then, we found Kaui. Down to earth. Honest and professional but with a local flair. My wife and I felt comfortable almost instantly. On her first day, Kaui was here on time, and did a great job from top to bottom including dusting every horizontal edge that they could reach. I'm glad I did coz they did an awesome job at cleaning my apartment. Getting a free quote was good. When it came down to cleaning and making sure everything is done right, Kaui and her team knew exactly what to do, and took care of every inch of the house. There was a small area under the sink where mold was present and even though it posed hazard risk to her, she still went under and cleaned it the best she could. Messaged them on Wednesday asking if they would be able to clean three full baths by Sunday because we had an open house scheduled. I got a response within an hour saying they could schedule a cleaning on Friday! They arrived on time on Friday, and immediately started cleaning. They told me it would take an hour and a half for all three bathrooms and they were right! The results were amazing, the bathrooms looked almost new. Definitely will use them again.
