There's a small waiting area but they have plenty of chairs for those waiting. Karen cut my toddler's hair and it took about 20 minutes for the cut. We waited maybe 5 minutes before she was asking who was next. She also asked how I wanted the cut to be and she did it in 20 minutes. She asked how it was after she was done, added some hair gel, per toddler's instructions. We were out in less than 30 minutes! Oh and she offered lollipops too! How sweet!

Eugene did a fantastic job, and now that my hair is long again I plan on going back for another cut. Eugene and his adorable wife Jessie own a very clean, bright and airy salon. They really listen to what you want, and he doesn't take off more than what you specify (which happens A LOT with other salons). My hair hasn't been touched for almost a year and I've been meaning to chop off all my bronzed and dead part of my hair. I yelped around hair salon in the area and I found this hidden gem in Rowland Heights! It's located in a "Dolphin Bay plaza" (even it's gone now..boohoo) and attached right next to the bakery shop in the corner. First impression may not wow you but I really liked the service and the price. Tina is Korean born Chinese living in the US who speaks Korean, Chinese, and English so you can communicate with her at your own convenience :) I showed her a picture of what I wanted- a short bob- and here is a picture of the result and I like it a lot. I know it's probably a simple cut compared to other requests, but all it matters is that I'm satisfied with it! As mentioned in the beginning, yes, it's a $20 hair cut. I washed my hair prior to the cut and she didn't charge an extra $5 for the wash. I will see Tina again soon :)

The lady won't talk much to you so don't expect a long conversation but she will pay real good attention to every detail when it comes to cutting hair whether it's a treatment, haircut, hair dye, perm whatever it is she is professional at what she does. She also gives her advice first of what can be done to your hair, but also listens back at what you also want. I washed my own hair before going, and basically went to get my old curls and frizz out from my hair straightened. Had a bit of a hair cut just to get rid of split ends but total cost me $45 for everything and that includes a treatment too and tip. I was so impressed, not only was that a bargain but my hair has been straight for the whole week now and I wash my hair everyday. I spent 3hrs there because I really had some curls and frizz that I needed to get rid of - last minute appointment over the phone and she accommodated me at the same time. All I can say is not only does she find you ways to save money but she's also probably the owner and soooo sweet. I always have the best experience when I do my hair here. I would give this place full stars, but the stylists didn't seem to be very friendly. None of them smiled or greeted me as I walked in. The stylist that gave me the haircut also had airpods in his ear while cutting my hair (maybe I'm old fashioned but I don't like that). Also, the seat where they brought me to cut my hair had hair all over the floor. It wasn't swept before they seated me and I had to point that out to the stylist (to which he responded nonchalantly). Small things like this make me feel uncomfortable. That aside, the interior design of the studio is quite nice. It is modern and looks very sleek. They have these egg like chambers where they wash your hair. Minus the service I received, this hair salon is a nice place to be. Price-wise, for men, the haircut was $50, and about $60 with tip included. It's definitely not a cheap place to go, but many other places in the area charge similar prices these days. The hair stylists here definitely know how to cut hair well, especially Asian hair. They did a good job cutting my hair. I took a very long time deciding, but they were very patient and told me not to worry and to do what I want. Both Alex and Kiki have very professional skills and finished in a timely manner.
