I had a wonderful experience at KAZBA Café, about 20 Min from downtown Tampa. The Moroccan-inspired décor makes the space feel incredibly cozy and inviting. The food was delicious, and the coffee was especially great. I also really appreciated that they offer options for different dietary needs, including gluten-free choices for both food and drinks, which is great to see in such an authentic spot. We had the chance to meet the owner, who is from Morocco--she was very friendly and welcoming, which made our visit even more special. Lately, my order comes out wrong every time. I've been here four times lately, each with a separate issue. I have left with the wrong pastry, have been given regular milk instead of oat and had to have things remade, have had food ordered to go brought out to eat in, and have had a tip added after I declined to tip on the checkout because of high prices. Stopped by here with my wife while in the immediate area. Looked up restaurants in the area and decided to try it. On a weekday shortly after noon. We were able to find a parking spot in front of the restaurant; however, my wife had to negotiate steps to enter. Only after we arrived at the entrance did we notice an ADA sign that accessible entrance was in the rear. Sign should probably be larger or by the street. The interior was decorated so that it appeared you had entered a shop in Morocco. Beautiful but laid out but a bit inconsistent. Small booths around plus a plush red sofa and matching chairs in the center of restaurant, encircling a coffee table. You were told, by a sign, to order at the counter or provided kiosk. We went to counter and looked over choices. My wife selected the Spinach Feta Souffle Skillet, and I chose the Marrakech Skillet. We chatted for a bit and I took pictures. After about 20 minutes our meals were delivered by a server. My wife's Souffle was very dry, and she didn't care for it, so we decided to swap half of each meal. My Marrakech Skillet on the other hand, was very moist but unfortunately very greasy. My wife did like my dish much more than her Souffle, which we left most of it. It was an experience for sure. But the prices seemed a bit high for the quality of the food. We have dined on Middle Eastern food before and enjoyed the dishes, so not completely foreign to us, but we cannot recommend Kazba Cafe. read more

This Turkish food is something special. I really like the ambience in the restaurant. Very personal. The food order from counter. We got the lamb shank. I thought the lamb probably has the typical red turkey sauce. I was wrong. It came with braise clear sauce that has prune. The ingredients are fragrant. The braise meat is fork tender. This charming café is embedded in bunch of apartment buildings and office buildings. The exotic decoration made me feel like I was in Moroccan. We had a lamb shank and prunes tagine. It was so good. The lamb meat was good size, fork tender. The sauce with sesame seeds floating on top was tasty. And the prunes were such a unique touch. The dish went perfectly with basmati rice. We ordered and paid at the counter, they brought the dish to our table. Good services and we enjoyed the food and ambience. This was such an unique experience. I will come back to try other dishes. Soo...I had been very curious about trying this place for a long time, and what finally pushed me to do it was losing my beloved EVOS, which was my spot for many many years and I now I needed a new spot. I first saw them when I was at the new Harmony Pet clinic, and knew I had to give them a try. And oh, I'm glad I did, and I will make this my NEW home. They have plenty of ample seating outside, which is pet friendly, and I like how I can bring my sweet Muffin with me in her little pet carriage to order my food. The workers there were very nice and kind and were helpful when I made my order. There was sausage sandwich I wanted to get which wasn't listed on the kiosk, but I was able to make that order up with the lady up front. And the food... WOW. Definitely something different. The sausage had a nice unique spice and flavor to it that's not something totally common. It came with peppers and melted cheese (chef's kiss) and a delicious simple salad green mix with some dressing and goat cheese. The baguette the sandwich was made with was soft on the outside, crispy on the inside, and just...perfect. THIS meal had my name ALL OVER IT. They care a coffee house as well an eatery, and I'll be sure to come back to try their delicious, desserts, pastries and coffee. This is a hidden gem out in Oldsmar, and hopefully thin unique place sticks around. Kazba has to be one of the most unique restaurants in the Tampa area. The decor is totally from Morocco. And the interior design of the restaurant is for sure like no other. I ordered a kofteh meatball sandwich. Kofteh is simply ground beef mixed with warm seasonings & spices. The sandwich was ok, although the meatballs were not reheated all the way through. The interiors were very cold, even though they were pre-cooked. We also had a sampler of three of their dips including baba ganoush, hummus, & a tomato-eggplant mix. We went for lunch and there was no one else there, we were told to sit anywhere so we choose a both. There was some confusion on where to order, they have menus, but you order from the counter. We tried three sandwiches: Merguez, meatball, and chicken & olive. The bread was good, but they were just meh - lacked overall seasoning and flavor. They all came with a side salad, and the dressing was tasty. Overall, it's a cute spot, but the food was just okay. This is such a lovely cafe in Oldsmar. It ranges from a nice sit down and coffee scenario to a formal meal. They had a great spread of sweets with almond marzipan, dates, baklava, and crossaint. We ordered the orange blossom latte and Nutella latte. I loved my Nutella latte. We ordered the hummus trio and boy do you need to have an order!! My fav was the eggplant one (baba ghanoush). They were so kind to bring us extra pita bread as well. We ordered the Korda entree that came with a baguette. It was sooooo good. The tomato sauce with the Korda was a great touch with the kofta being delicate and seasoned to perfection. There's plenty of seating in the cafe to have a study hour or use some of their board games to just have a relaxing time with friends. Will definitely be back. read more

There's a new Moroccan Cafe and it just opened last week. Our experience here was excellent. First impression was loving how stunning the cafe was. Every single detail was definitely noticed. It is a new location in which there are no other neighboring businesses yet. It's across the street from the Oldsmar Town Center where Chuck Lager American Tavern Restaurant is. Everyone was very helpful and I let them know I hadn't had Moroccan food before so they broke down their menu items for me. They were so nice and showed me pics as well, & gave me great suggestions. Check out their Instagram also for great pics. I was eyeing the chicken tagine which I've never had before. I chose the beef tagine with green beans which comes with crusty and soft bread. In addition we ordered two amazing ice teas. Our favorite was the tropical sunrise tea. We tried samples of the hummus with ground beef, a rose marzipan filled date, and chicken tagine as well. Everything we tried was simply splendid. We shared these and we were quite full. When we come back next time, we want to try other items including the brioche with homemade Nutella, their rose latte, Nutella latte, and mint tea just to name a few. They also have appetizers such as their dips. I love baba ganoosh so I'd love to try theirs. They have sandwiches also and so many hot and cold drinks. We LOVE Kazba Cafe!! We live close by and have waited so long for someplace other than a bar to open downtown. This food is fresh, quality, made with love, and tastes delicious! The owners Sunny & Yaccine really make you feel like family with their hospitality, too. The girls working here are pleasant and know their stuff. Kazba Cafe is a hidden gem tucked away in a commercial area/plaza in Oldsmar. The atmosphere within the place is relaxing, more so than some of the other cafes and breakfast places in the Oldsmar/Westchase area. Part of the vibe comes from the decor, which is Moroccan themed. It's a bit more on the cozy (i.e. smaller) side of things, but that's something that is part of the charm. The only gripe I have is I wished it opened slightly earlier, but alas, I'm happy that it is there. There is ample street parking. So far I've tried the Moroccan Beef Jerky and Egg Sandwich as well as the Merguez Sandwich. Pictured is the Merguez sandwich. Both are delightful but I'd say the Merguez sandwich is better, but only slightly so. The seasoning on both are on point. I could do with a little bit more salad though. The butter croissant and chocolate croissant were flakey and buttery. I was told they were imported from France and baked in-house. It is a cafe and I'm glad to report the coffee is well made as are the teas, of which I really enjoy the pot of Moroccan Mint Green Tea. I am glad a place like the Kazba Cafe exists in this area and will be back. read more

The pita served with it is a tad bit thicker than I prefer but my friend thought it was perfect. I loved the various seating areas and lighting. We'd been anxiously awaiting the opening of this restaurant, as we walked by in the evenings. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! We stopped in for an early Father's Day lunch, and the atmosphere was perfect: serene, cozy and welcoming. There are so many interesting and intimate seating nooks throughout, from tables, to booths, to cushioned corners. The service is friendly and very helpful. The menu is Moroccan, but even a less adventurous eater would easily find something they'd like among the pastries, muffins, and sandwiches. We had the doppio and Nutella latte to drink, and both were made well. To eat, we tried the chicken and olive sandwich and the Moroccan beef jerky and egg sandwich. Both came with a small side salad (nice surprise) and both were delicious. We couldn't decide which we liked more! We had lunch our first time today. Everything was amazing from the environment to the food. The owners invested a lot of money into the fixtures from beautiful Moroccan lights, couches , custom tables and so much more. They took their time to create a warm environment that felt like home. I had the lemon chicken which I've never had before. It was delicious combination. The baguette was perfectly crunchy on the outside but warm and soft as I crunched down . We had the Moroccan mint tea which was done beautifully & something everyone should try. My son had the lemon bitters as his beverage which was delicious ( it somewhat tasted like lemonade with a sour twist.. delicious). I'm blown away by the beauty and deliciousness abounding in La Kazba! Sanae and her husband have created a Moroccan Oasis in the heart of Oldsmar! Everything I have sampled on the menu is rave-worthy! From the smooth and creamy texture of the hummus (best I have ever had), to the crispy crunchy salad with a hint of pomegranate (I think) in the homemade dressing, to the warm spices of cinnamon and nutmeg and magic and love in a the homemade meatballs to the Orange Blossom latte, to the BEST PIZZA in Town, in my opinion. Please do yourself a favor and transport yourself to a foreign land as you enter into the most beautiful restaurant in the area! I haven't even tried the gorgeous pastries yet! I can't wait to try next time. Rose petals on dates and sesame delights! I would say the vibes of the people, the food, and the atmosphere will bring your soul home for a respite.
