Osteria Pollani in Safety Harbor is definitely worth the visit. We went a week or so ago ( mid April) . Just to get out of the house.. socializing , also Safety Harbor had their monthly " Street Fest" . Sat at the bar I had the Sangria table mate he had the Old Fashion. Both were very good, prompt service, bartender was friendly, helpful and very polite. At this time we were not soo hungry so we ordered the Antipasto platter ( Affettato Misti). Plenty enough for 2. Platter was brought out promptly and yes was amazing. Price is spot on, pretty reasonable. BTW this establishment is locally owned and operated , it's been in the area for sometime now. Kudos to the bartender/ cook and of course the owner. Keep up the great food.

Third time here. No problems the first two times here even though people said it was too much of a sports bar. They've calmed down the TVs and had very nice Italian music on Father's Day First off, Christina, our server was amazing. People say it's expensive but they serve a lot on the entrées. We started with the arancini which has always been excellent. My wife had the Branzini which for her palette was way too salty. Although she said, cooked to perfection. I had the chicken saltimbocca which is excellent. There was a small part that was a little tough on the chicken, but for the most part excellent taste The best part was the sauce on the chicken, which also complimented the spaghetti. You normally just get a red sauce on spaghetti, which is blah. But this sauce was amazing. They having an excellent list of wines. Best part is you can have a glass of excellent wine for $10.

A beautiful street front gem with a bright, clean interior and friendly wait staff. The Italian menu has many of your favorites. The Calamari appetizer is once of the best, very lightly breaded. The side Caesar is small and tasty. The special was a grilled Salmon Cioppino. The sauce was excellent, make sure you request the fish cooked medium rare or it will be slightly overcooked, and the potato wedges were out of place. Bread served is complimentary. For desert, the Tiramisu is the lightest we've had. The wine list is short but diverse. Parking is problematic.

I have been here a couple times and the food is always fantastic! This last time I decided to try the lasagna and it was delicious! Perfect flavor. The pollo burrata pasta is my favorite dish on the menu! Definitely get that if you don't try anything else! My boyfriend got the chicken piccata and he really enjoyed it. The arincini appetizer is so delicious and craveable! I highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing date night. The service is great and the ambiance is very relaxing and welcoming. I love their aperol spritz as well. Very refreshing!

We decided to try a new restaurant in Safety Harbor. I'm Italian and pretty picky about my Italian food. To start the atmosphere is not your typical Italian restaurant. It's pretty industrial feeling. Nothing cozy or romantic. A little bit of a turn off but nothing major. We ordered the calamari and bang shrimp for appetizers. Calamari tasted like rubber bands. Yuck! ($18). The shrimp was good but not very big portion. I think 8 small shrimp ($16). I ordered the Bolognese dish and had my high expectations crash. It was pretty tasteless and instead of penne pasta had some lasagna noodles that were overcooked and soggy. Honestly I can make a better sauce myself and this was made by a chef? Next a member of the party asked for more bread and was told there would be a $4 charge. Really for bread at an Italian restaurant? Completely unacceptable especially since this place is not cheap by any means. Come on keep the bread coming. . . On some positive notes my husband got the rib eye steak. Absolutely delicious and other couple got the filet which was great and the grouper which she said was delicious! So not sure why they want to be an Italian restaurant since that was the only dishes (calamari & Bolognese) that was below standards. My take if you go get the steak or grouper and stay away from the Italian dishes. Sad but true.

I met friends here who are already regulars despite this restaurant recently opening. So my expectations were high going in and the food and service definitely delivered. We started with the mussels and bang bang shrimp appetizers. The group loved the mussels. The bang bang shrimp were amazing. I would order that again and again. For entrees, we ordered the gnocchi ragu, chicken piccata, and chicken marsala. Everybody loved their dish. The gnocchi ragu was really fantastic. The ambience is very nice; kind of fancy and relaxed. They also have several TVs over the bar visible from the entire restaurant (nice to catch a peak of a game). Also, located on the lively Main Street. Definitely will be back.

New Italian restaurant in safety harbor. Food was very good. Service was quick. A bit of a sports bar vibe which you don't usually see with an Italian restaurant

    Lobster ravioli

This was my first time at this restaurant and it definitely won't be my last! I had the lobster ravioli and my friend had the branzino. Both were absolutely delicious!! Our server was amazing, too. (I wish I could remember her name). Anyway, I can't to go back to this wonderful restaurant. It truly was a great experience.

We made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner for a party of seven. When we arrived the friendly hostess greeted us and we were seated right away. The atmosphere is casual but nice. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had fried calamari, bruschetta and Sicilian Bang Shrimp as appetizers, all of which were excellent. For dinner we ordered the Pollo Burrata, Grouper Siciliano and Penne Vodka all of which were delicious. The wine list is also good. Prices are in line with the quality of food and service. Overall I would highly recommend Osteria Pollani and we will definitely be back

The food was great and our server Matt was super nice and funny. Would definitely come again for dinner.

The first thing you need to know is that you can park right behind the building. Pull on the street just west of the building. It would be extremely difficult to park in front and have to back out onto Gulf to Bay / 60. The owner Sal is a gem himself. He has vast food knowledge and treats every customer like a friend or family member. He gave me his card and said to call him if I need something outside of hours or need him to stay late. Wow. He takes customer service to an entirely different level. He also made recommendations and did not lead me astray. This is a market that has REAL authentic Italian goods. They also make some incredible things in house. I have tried a Stromboli and a Marscapone dessert. They were both incredible. The Stromboli that I received was two pounds. It is almost all meat! It is thick and enough for a few meals. If you time it well, you may be able to get one fresh from the oven. Mine was in the refrigerated case as I arrived late one Friday night. I sliced it and heated it as Sal instructed. I was planning on freezing the rest for another week. It was so good, that I immediately jumped up and removed it from the freezer and put it back into the fridge for the next day. I purchased some homemade marinara to go with it. It doesn't have any added sugar (which made me happy) and was phenomenal too. The dessert I tried was one of the best things I have ever tasted. I had a rough day and told Sal that I wanted something rich and satisfying. It was just that. It was served chilled in a real glass (that is perfect for dipping the Stromboli into sauce after it is empty!). It had layers and little beautiful curls of chocolate on top. My description does not do it justice. I posted a picture. Go buy one! The second trip I purchased some things for my Brother for his Birthday including REAL pasta, homemade meat sauce, and a Cheesecake imported from New York (that Sal claims is the best... my Brother agreed). I LOVE this place and will visit often.

I love Italian food - the flavor it has etc. This store has been around for over 50 years per Sal who I met. But I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this store as they don't seem to be gourmet at all. I was looking for fresh pasta/ravoli, bread, pestos, things I usually get at the Italian market. Unfortunately, Sal led me to a section of dry boxed pasta trying to convince me it was the best. I then asked him about ravioli as that was mainly what I wanted to cook that night. He then took me to his freezer and said he had the best ravioli. Although it wasn't what I was looking for, I decided to give it a try and got a lb of ravioli. His frozen ravioli didn't compare to the frozen ravioli I got from the nature store down the street. I used the same sauce and everything I did previously and it was just blah. Additionally his store is mostly just boxed and bottled items imported from Italy, so things are a bit different nowadays and importing from other countries isn't as gourmet as it used to be. Unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back which is sad because I love to support small local businesses.

We entered and checked in at the host of stand and regretted promptly and sat right away for our reservation at 5:30. Our server Nicole was extremely pleasant and gave us absolutely fantastic recommendations. They have happy hour on food and drinks until 6 PM which we were unaware of as well before we made the reservation. It was a very pleasant surprise. The happy hour is not only on drinks but full sized menu items that include appetizers and entrees as well as drinks. We took advantage of the situation in order our cocktails before 6 o'clock. I opted to start with the lemon cello apeol spritz and ended with the pistachio espresso martini. That may have been one of the best espresso martinis I've ever tasted it in my life and I've been to Italy to drink them! When I say do not pass up on the trio of dip for the focaccia bread- OMG-this sounds like such a simple appetizer, but it is done with precision and elegance, and the dips are absolutely amazing. We did take most of the bread home and put it in the air fryer the next day it holds up to a restaurant quality standard. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan and the meatball sliders. I will say the chicken Parmesan sliders for exceeded the meatball sliders. The meatballs needed a tad bit more seasoning for my liking. Because her eyes are bigger than our stomachs, we ordered three entrées between the two of us . The carpe de Pepe pasta, the margarita pizza, and the Sweet Jamie Kay pizza. When ordering pizza you have two options to get fluffy area dough or a thin crisp dough we chose both pizzas to be fluffy and airy type. The pasta was served al denti which is not my favorite, but nothing was wrong with the dish. The sweet Jamie Kay pizza was absolutely mouthwatering. The slight drizzle of honey paired with a type of meat on top of the pizza makes me want it every day. We had plenty leftovers to eat lunch the next day . Taylor was stellar in her service and the ambience of the restaurant was very authentic.

We also had to get the famous 100 year old yeast made sourdough which was amazing! Loved the pizza with some ricotta on top. Meatballs were juicy and pasta had a subtle cheese taste that wasn't too heavy. Tried out the pistachio gelato as well, wasn't quite the flavor we enjoy but the creaminess was very quality. Will be back to try out brunch.

I feel like you can get two decent steaks for that price - because when you really lay out the ingredients for what we ordered and the cost, it's very simple and doesn't cost too much to make. I found it jarring to pay that much money for ordering at a counter and for the portion amount. The staff was friendly, and its smaller in there than I expected. Luckily we found a table for two but I'd personally be hesitant to go there with a larger group. It's not like it was bad, it just didn't blow me out of the water to justify that price tag for two again.
