The food and service cannot be beat by any other sushi spot in Lancaster! The inside is a very nice layout so even when they're very busy it does not feel crowded or cramped. We are always treated very well and made to feel very welcome! The food is always fresh and correctly prepared. The appetizers are SO wonderful (the fried peppers & ponzu served w/ the soft-shell crab visit me in my dreams)!! The sashimi is tender, fresh, flavorful, and generous! The sushi rice is perfect every time. The scallops just melt in your mouth! The rolls are exactly what the menu says they are with no surprises - they are never mushy or soggy! Although I live in Palmdale and the location near the mall is more convenient, we love going to their newest Lancaster location. The food is the same so u won't be missing out there. The service however is exceptional in Lancaster. The last three times we've eaten there we've just been blown away. Hands down our favorite sushi place in the AV. When you hear there is a new sushi joint opening, you just have to check it out! This is the second location for Kaze Sushi seems to be more conscientious of cleanliness and clutter. The counters and floors were clean and clear of extra restaurant supplies unlike the one in Palmdale. We asked to sit at the sushi bar and were told we were not able to without an explanation given. We can only assume this is due to COVID, but the restaurant should probably then remove the chairs or put up signs. As a new sushi place, this was a let down as the sushi bar is usually where the action is. Later we noticed two of the sushi chefs seemed to be new. So it could also be a possibility they did not want us to hinder their learning? Our waiter was kind, but did not engage much in conversation or speaking in general. The other staff person, who seemed to possibly be the owner, checked on us more than he did. Our gyoza was perfectly crispy and tasty unlike the sauce that came with it which could be easily described as a light broth. While we like broth, it's not what we want to dip our potstickers in. The miso soup was yummy and had more extras than you normally get, so good on them for that. All our sushi rolls were delicious and tasted fresh. The presentation was lovely and the orange sauce was a delightful change. Kaze meets the expectations of a sushi place, but could put a little more effort into engaging their customers. Just found my new favorite sushi joint! My friend and I wanted sushi for lunch so we ordered pick-up. To be honest, I hesitated to order here because I couldn't find any reviews. But as it turns out, Kaze Sushi has an established restaurant in Palmdale (with nearly two hundred reviews averaging 4.5+ stars on Yelp). I called ahead and ordered from their Palmdale menu. The woman on the phone was very nice, answered my questions, took my order, and said my food would be ready in 20-30 minutes. As an unexpected added bonus, after 20 minutes she called me to let me know that my order was ready. So here's what I got: The Lunch Roll Special, which included 2 rolls (I got Rainbow and Spicy Tuna) and a miso soup. I added a California roll because a girl likes to eat. The miso soup is composed of miso broth, seaweed, and tofu. Delicious and with the right amount of salt in the broth. ( can't stand bland miso, so YAY!!) Rolls - Loved, Loved, LOVED the rolls. The fish was fresh, but more importantly, the rice tasted fresh and well seasoned. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Prices are pretty reasonable. And the food is delicious. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I fully intend to return with more friends and family whenever I crave sushi again! read more

I don't write reviews often, but I feel like I had to share this awful dining experience here to warn others! I had the rudest customer service experience when dining here last Friday. The waitress (I believe her name was Paola) must have misheard my order or got it mixed up (it was pretty busy and loud that day) because she brought out the wrong food which honestly isn't even a big deal because I know that can happen sometimes, but she then proceeded to gaslight me/aggressively tell me that's what she heard me order and started to argue with me about it instead of just agreeing that there must've been a misunderstanding. Then she angrily snatched the food away in front of me while mumbling words under her breath. After that, she was incredibly standoffish and acted like I didn't exist for the rest of the night, which was very uncomfortable and truly ruined the experience for everyone. It was an embarrassing and awkward situation for not only me and my friends there, but also for the restaurant because I know other customers around must have heard all that too. I totally get that people have their bad days, but you definitely don't take it out on your customers! The sushi quality was only alright unfortunately, so with their terrible customer service means I'll never be coming back here or recommending this place to anyone. Really hoping this review helps Kaze invest in their staff training more because that was totally inappropriate behavior and I hope no one else has to go through that. :( read more

Sadly, I just didn't enjoy their sushi. I ordered the lobster roll, spicy tuna roll, and crispy rice. Someone please tell me why their lobster roll was topped with mushrooms and tomatoes??? I assume the plain ol white mushrooms and tomatoes act as a filler so they don't have to give you as much fish?? It was also swimming in Mayo. That's all you could taste. Although I ordered the spicy tuna, I was instead given a California roll. Don't particularly care for California roll and this one didn't change my mind as it had about zero flavor. There was nothing crispy about their crispy rice. There were a few oranges slices in with it, so the rice was not only mushy, but tasted like orange. The woman that took my hard earned money for this mediocre sushi was nice enough. So one star for her. And the place seemed pretty clean, so one more star for that. All in all, I'll take my hard earned money across the street to Sprouts, purchase their mediocre sushi for about half the price. read more

Well this place has been open with new owner for about a month now. Eating here for first time. Our server was very friendly and the staff was also too the place was clean. The bento box was very good, so was the shrimp tempura and the creamy tuna was pretty good no fishy taste. The only thing was that the sauce they put has tomato and I didn't like the Tomato but you might like it. The salmon sushi was all right. Other than that everything went well. I recommend this place if you have not eaten here, and I hope they keep up the good service and quality. Sometimes when it's newly opened that's when it's all good but after a while it goes down so we'll see in a few months or years to come. read more

I was heading to get some rolls from my occasional sushi spot and was surprised when the prior restaurant had closed and kaze had opened a second location. The initial shock of the price difference between this and the prior restaurant had me tempted to walk out and go elsewhere but I decided I'd at least try it out. Picked up a Kaze roll to go. With a small tip it came out to over $20 for one roll. But the quality was very good. While I wouldn't frequent the spot I would recommended it for the quality you will get.
