Went there for a romantic dinner with my boyfriend, the waitress Karin was incredibly helpful with the saki menu and she was so kind! We got two bottles of saki, an appetizer, three rolls and desert and it was hardly $60! Super affordable! What a find ! If you can get over the strip mall location, the sushi is great. Well priced, great service.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat here. We walked in at 2:01 (literally) and were told they were closed. Even though people were in there eating AND I had called ten minutes earlier to ask for help locating them because we were lost in a sea of strip malls. I mean, really--ONE MINUTE after 2 pm? Went here because I was told their sushi was excellent and prices reasonable. I found neither to be true. Typical sushi restaurant pricing. The hamachi neck appetizer tasted a day past its prime, my hand rolls were served to me with soggy seaweed, probably after waiting too long for the waitress to pick them up. No option to deal with the sushi chef directly to avoid this was offered, despite sitting at the sushi bar.. Never saw a smile on either of the sushi chefs faces the entire hour that I was there. There are definitely better places to go if you want to pay normal high prices for sushi. read more

My last time there was my last time there. Used to be pretty good but has gone down hill over the years. The wait staff are order takers at best. If you have an problem with an order, no one, chefs included, have a clue about how to resolve it. Fellow reviewers seem compelled to defend this place as they call themselves experts. If it was so great then why the need to defend it? Food is nothing great and service is poor so those who love it can continue to support it. On the way to go to Miami, we found this place. It was surprisingly good and authentic. We ordered sushi, sashimi and katsudon dinner. Everything was fresh and good. I tried this restaurant twice to give it a chance. The first time I ordered a Chirashi bowl to go. When I got home ( I live less than a mile from restaurant) I was disappointed about the quantity and variety of the fish offered and I found the rice to be dry. However, I gave them another chance cause I didn't dine in. Well, last night I gave them a try again and I arrived around 8 on a Friday night. They were packed and had about three girls serving. I sat at the bar and wasn't offer a menu for about 8 minutes. Finally got the menu and ordered the Kasu Bento platter. I was supposed to receive 3 pieces of nigiri sushi, 9 pieces of sashimi, fukumaki, sunomomo, and spice tuna hand roll. So disappointed. The nigiri was tuna, white fish, and salmon, which was ok. The sashimi was three pieces of tuna, sashimi and white fish! Nothing different! I've never been served an assorted sashimi and received all the same fish and I was not impressed with the fish quality. The tuna was almost transparent and was like grocery store sushi, the salmon was farmed, but the white fish was ok but redundant. The sunomomo was more chunks of tuna on top of cucumber! Boring. Last the hand roll was straight up disgusting. It was a gooey fish mash and had no spice at all...completely bland. Honestly I think this the second review I've ever done and I felt I needed to warn others cause this place somehow gets good reviews. I wish it was better cause I live so close. Guess I'll keep going to Kaizen in Jensen Beach. read more

This is our favorite spot for sashimi! The fish is always fresh, the goyza (pork dumplings) are amazing, and the soba noodle bowl is devine! It's a small place, and seems to get a lot of business around 6:45pm. If you don't want to wait, go before 6:45pm. Went once for lunch & probably wouldn't go back since the service was terribly slow. Can't go wrong with the beef tataki, summer roll, ika sansai, or anything else on the menu. We love it! read more

This is definitely the best sushi spot on the Treasure Coast. The owners are friendly and always provide great service. For appetizers go for the agedashi tofu or tuna tataki. For rolls the kanpyo roll is the best, and this is one of the few sushi restaurants that serves kanpyo (a type of Japanese gourd). read more

I'm a sushi snob, and this is a great place. I go here at least once a week. Super fresh fish, and great sushi rice. Unlike others they use real crab and wild salmon. Go casual or dressy. I love this restaurant. I especially like the grilled calamari. I ordered for the first time the chirashi bowl. I order this every time I go for sushi. It was by far the worst I've ever had. It came with two pieces of tuna, salmon, and white fish, one shrimp, fake crab, and egg. Typically, a chirashi bowl will have up to four times that much fish and a much better variety. The server has to how it was when I said it was very disappointing she said, "sorry" and that's all. I'll go back but I won't ever order that again. read more

NO REPEAT BUSINESS FOR THIS LOCATION.... I live nearby and finally got to try out what I had hoped would be a positive experience as the are right around the corner from home.....UNFORTUNATELY, I was very disappointed. In short, they grossly over charge for what they offer and their presentation is lacking any artistic flair for your typical sushi chef. After waiting over 30 minutes for my order, I made my way home...as soon as I opened the box, I saw my order was wrong. I immediately called and asked for the waitress who worked the door and told her my order wasn't right, she asked my what I had ordered and what was incorrect, then put me on hold and after a minute picked up and read my order back to me that she placed with the chef..and said isn't that what you got? I said yes, but what you placed is not what I ordered nor what I told you, her response...she only writes down what people tell her nothing more and she wrote what I said. And she hung up. Wow!!! She didn't give a damn, nor apologize, nor offer any help, just an argument. I took a picture of the order and put it in the fridge. Someone will eat it. So I used to come to here all the time I love the sushi and everything it was about a 4 start for me. I moved to Massachusetts and I came back down to Florida to visit family and I came to eat at my favorite sushi place (Kazu). I order what I usually get which is salmon sushi. But they had toro on the menu so I decided to try there toro. Ive already had toro at other sushi bars and its so soft and tender but when I order it and got it the sushi was extremely chewy and it tasted like raw steak. I was deeply shocked this was definitely not toro. Then when I started to eat my salmon sushi there was a bone in my fish. I was deeply disappointedI probably won't be coming here again sadly. read more

went to kazu last week, based solely on the reviews ive read. took a date. place is quaint, and was on a wait, but not bad. got seated, looked at the menu, but wasn't very impressed with the lack of creativity regarding the specialty rolls. nothing really stood out, so we ordered a couple rolls and a appetizer to share. was a little surprised that they only had one selection of either white or red wine. the house, but it was ok. the food came, it was just barely average, and the rolls were small. especially for the price. we decided we needed to order one more roll, and the one with the grilled salmon on top sounded best. it came out, and we started in on it. i thought it tasted kind of odd, so i peeled away the salmon on top. to my shock, i found that it wasnt even salmon meat, it was just the fat! when they charred it, it melted the fat right down into the rest of the roll and saturated it with grease. this left an awful aftertaste in both of our mouths, and just never sat right afterwards. we express our concern to the waitress, and that this was unacceptable, however all she could say was sorry and did nothing about it. they left it on the bill, which was right at 100.00 for 4 glasses of wine, three rolls and a appetizer. not terribly expensive, but not a great deal even if the food was good which it was not. i wont be going back. read more

Hidden gem in Stuart. The food, customer service and atmosphere is excellent. The servers know you by name and always make you feel welcome. Short and sweet, I love this place!!! Some of the best seaweed salad I've ever had!!! Summer roll is great, cucumber wrapped tuna roll with eel sauce, awesome! I can't recall the service ever being bad here, it stinks that people have had bad experiences because this is hands-down the best sushi I've had in Florida and the prices are really reasonable. It's a very small place and they get pretty busy so maybe that's why the service is sometimes hit or miss. read more

Worst sushi I have ever had. Terrible service too. If I wasn't with guests I would have sent it all back except for the yellow tail which was passable. Some of the best sushi on the Treasure coast! Great selection of Saki! The rolls are amazing. nice atmosphere, not old and dingy like other sushi places around here. Surprsingly gets a younger crowd which is hard to do in this area. I love love sushi and would drive to Del ray for sushi. Dont let the strip mall fool.
