The reason I visited this place is because it is close to San Jose State University. NOTE: The prices are great for students. However, I would recommend this place ONLY if you are a student and staying close to SJSU. The service I went for was eyebrow treading ($10) Moreover,the women who did my eyebrows started of without any powder and was constantly distracted and talking to other lady in the room. I have been coming to this place many times for a year pre Covid and came in again to get my brow done. First of all some one in the shop is not wearing a mask. She finally puts it on when I asked her to. Then they charge me $12 instead of $10 for threading, while the price board clearly says &10. I am ok with $12 but you can't just change prices on the fly. I've been going to this place for a while and have been ok with their work since it was convenient and cheap. However there was a new lady who did my eyebrows on my most recent visit. After asking for just a clean up, she completely destroyed my arch and made them straight. I am extremely upset because the arch cannot even be shaped correctly with make up. In addition, I dont have thick eyebrows so it looks like I'm going to have to let them grow until the hair where my arch was grows back. I can only recommend KB beauty salon. I first came here in February '16 with very thin eyebrows. I asked what I could do because I really wanted thicker, nicely shaped brows. Kamala, the owner, told me to be very patient and advised to grow them out. She told me using an eyebrow serum could enhance and speed up the process. So, I checked online and found this awesome product by Anastasia Hollywood that I would use every day. Within half a year, my eyebrows grew out completely and with Kamala's help are in the best shape ever. She is very sweet and gets me the shape I desire every time. I recently moved to San Jose from SF and was worried to find a similar service as I received in SF. I am pleasantly surprised to find a one stop shop with a reasonable expense. This is one of those genuine places with customer's best interest kept first. It is clear watching these women that they are not in here for money but for passion. They provide multiple services - hair, makeup, eyebrow, waxing, facial, pedi/mani, alteration of clothes - yes that's a find for me! Look for Kamala and Saras. For hair ask for Sadaf. Sadaf is a pro hairdresser with 20 years in the business. She gave my friend genuine advice based on the type of her hair and texture. Very knowledgeable and sought after this woman. Saw a very good Brazilian Blowout by her in front of my eyes. Have been here two times for Threading. I was fully satisfied with the service. It's not a very fancy Salon but does its job perfectly. In my second visit, I had to pay around 35$ and I was out of Visa card and cash. The lady helped me out with agreeing to come back the next day to pay the bill. Saved my day! Usually I have no complaints, although there has been at least 1 incident where my eyebrows have been butchered by a new worker. I know since then that the staff are reliable and know what they're doing. Today however, I arrived at opening time, 10:00 And it was still closed. I gave them a good 18 minutes and still, no sign of anyone opening. I've been going to KB for a while since before Covid. They've always done a good job on my brows no matter who I went to. I went today thinking "yay, I can get my brows done!" And left thinking , I shoulda just used tweezers instead. This visit was a little lengthy which worried me because I never spend no more than 15 mins here. I ask the lady who was there if she was making them thinner because it was taking a while. She said no just cleaning them up. I then got up and saw she barely touched my brows. They were the as when I came in. She wanted to charge me the full price and I told her maybe not since the job was poorly executed. I had an excellent time here! The lady who did my eyebrows and upper lip was a pro. I wasn't quite able to verbalize what I wanted do with my brows, but she knew what went well with my face shape and went for it. No cuts, no nothing. It was super pretty and clean inside. Nice music playing in the background, and I love that they have this whole system for you to check I , say what services you want, and pick the person. I believe I had Priti and she was super sweet and super amazing. I decided to try getting my upper lip done for the first time and it was a fast-pain free process. Kudos!!! read more

I finally found the place that does not do painful threading. Every place I have gone left me tearful. Nice, clean, fast service and not painful. The price is pricier than other places ($10 for eyebrows, $6 for upper lips) but the service is top notch, friendly ladies. I was in and out less than 10 mins. Highly recommend! read more

I've been threading my eyebrows for 15+ years and this is the first place I've been to that used a tweezer. If you couldn't get the hair out from threading, you're not good at what you do. The woman hardly spoke to me throughout the process, didn't ask what I wanted, and WORE GLOVES! Not disposable gloves so who knows how dirty they were! I didn't notice until I opened my eyes when she was done. I never would have let her near my face had I known. She did a terrible job, one brow was left thicker than the other and she left behind a ton of stray hairs. I would have asked her to even them out but once I saw she was wearing gloves, I was done with this place. P.S.: Ever heard of air conditioning?? This place was a sauna! I've been here a handful of times, and the key here is if you find someone you like don't let any of the other ladies touch your brows. The range of talent here is all over the place. The last time I walked out looking like Winnie the Pooh- not joking. If you do give them a shot tell them what your looking for and if you find someone you like get there name. Worst eyebrow threading place. I have been here twice and had the same horrible experience, at least they are consistent. After the threading the brows look worse than when I went in. Upon telling the lady about the problem, she says they are okay. And can not do anything. One eyebrow is notches up and other one is down. If there was a negative rating would give that. read more

I cam here one time to get my eyebrows done and a retouch on my nail polish. Eyebrows turned out to be one arch and one round shaped so it looks weird now and probably will take months to get this fixed for me. Nail polish she applied was golden glitter it was too dry and after i sat there for 30 mins for it to dry and then wore flip flops for the rest of the day but still the nail polish was smudgy and not dried fully after hours.
