I brought my car in to address an error code that was preventing me from passing smog. I paid about $300 for the repair, but the underlying problem wasn't resolved, which was frustrating. I ended up paying for a repair that didn't solve my issue, which I regret. I later had my regular mechanic look at it and he was able to fix the problem. It was very complex. Based on that experience, I just wish the diagnosis and repair here had been more thorough.
