My experience at Xpress Automotive Garage was mixed. I don't necessarily think they're bad mechanics, and this was a last minute decision since they have extended hours, but based on what happened with my car, I would personally recommend this shop more for simple jobs. I brought my car in to address an error code that was preventing me from passing smog. I paid about $300 for the repair, but the underlying problem wasn't resolved, which was frustrating. I ended up paying for a repair that didn't solve my issue, which I regret. I later had my regular mechanic look at it and he was able to fix the problem. It was very complex. Based on that experience, I just wish the diagnosis and repair here had been more thorough. read more

My car is having trouble starting every once in a while but I have no check lights on. Daniel was so helpful and took the time to run tests on my car, he didn't find anything wrong except maybe the battery but still unsure if it was linked to that so told me to just see how it drives for week and to come back in if it gets worse. This place is fast, that's for sure. They charged $80 for a smog test. When there was a code failure suggesting a repair, i was told i could retest for free in 15 days. But it took longer than that to fix. So, if you have no issues, i'm sure this place is great. it wasn't for me. the place i went to cost less, and they did more to make sure everything would work. read more

The initial communication with the shop was great. Let them know I needed the fuel injectors replaced. They quoted me $740. They also managed to get the parts earlier which was great news. So I dropped it off Friday morning and explained to them what was going on with the car. Car was idling super rough and would turn off when coming to a stop. The following day on Saturday evening, they called to let me know that they changed out the injectors but it didn't fix the issue. Car was still misfiring. First red flag: when I asked them if they had checked the car while they replaced the injectors they said no because I had only instructed them to change the injectors. Before dropping off the car, I gave them information on what I was experiencing with the car for that reason. And also explained that changing the injectors was advised from another mechanic. Sunday they were closed so on Monday, they said they would look into other possible causes. They suspected dirty valves so they cleaned the valves. That didn't fix it either. Now Tuesday, they did a compression test. Smoke test. Couldn't detect issue. At this point they're telling me they don't know what's wrong and I'm better off taking to another mechanic. I get there to pick up the car only to find out that they only replaced one of the fuel injectors... and on top of that, they charge me $827? Of course they were nice enough to not charge me for the cleaning of the valves but regardless, $827 for one injector is insane aside the fact that initially when we discussed the service we had discussed replacing all four at $740. I would not go back to this mechanic unfortunately. read more

I went to this place against my better judgment. The small unprofessional toolboxes should of been a flag. I went to this garage to get my air conditioner repaired. I not knowing very much about air conditioners, I thought it just needed a freon recharge. The mechanic didnt disagree, but he should have. My air contioner doesnt work at all. So I did a lot of research. The mechanic should of insisted on a vacuum and a leak test. They didnt even check the pressure with a guage, which I found out was criticle. There is a lot more techicle stuff I will not bore you with. The manager of the garage did even offer to fix it. He even went as far as telling me I could go somewhere else! PLEASE, I can't stress enough, get at least two other opinions before coming here! I was quoted 1300 dollars for something that I ended up getting fixed for 200 dollars. I was told in order to fix my check engine light, it would require my engine out; 550. then I was told that it may not be the problem and the problem could potentially cost 300 more dollars; 850. After that, I was told that I may need a brand new used engine; 1300 dollars total. All for one misfire? Unprofessional staff, high prices, they should be ashamed of themselves. read more
