My car broke down right in front of their shop (thankfully!) and they were so helpful with weighing out my options while I waited 3 hours for a tow truck. Came here after Jiffy Lube told me I needed front and rear brakes. I called around and this place seemed the have the most reasonable prices. When I finally get in and they check my brakes, and within a couple of minutes they told me I still had around 10k miles left ok my brakes. They could've lied to me and changed my brakes but didn't. I rarely ever leave reviews of places but I was blown away by the service I received here yesterday. The owners Kevin and Christy are very kind and knowledgeable. I went in because I was hearing an odd sound coming from my brakes and the dealership couldn't figure out what it was. They were going to charge me $300 to have a specialist take a look at it but I decided to just bring it here instead. Right away Christy took my information down and listened to my concerns. Kevin and their mechanic (I think his name was Francisco but I could be wrong) were able to determine where the noise was coming from within 15 mins of inspecting it. Kevin let me know what parts of my car would need some work in the near future. But what shocked me was they took the time to sand down one of my rotors free of charge. After that the noise stopped! I'll never forget their kindness and even though i'm moving away from the area soon i'll always recommend them to friends and family near Long Beach in the future. read more

Went and had my brakes replaced today and I definitely give this shop a 10. They inspected my brakes right away told me I needed front and back brakes and didn't need rotors which other brake shops will try to charge for services you don't even need. Ok Yelper's. I have another establishment for review. Yet, It's really an extension of a prior repair service Anti-Dent. Kevin is the owner and has obtained a new business/add-on. "East Long Beach Brake Service that has been in business for over 45 years. It has a great location with easy accessibility. He offers the same outstanding services to all his customers new and old. So, I called Kevin last Wednesday March 2025, to just inquire if it was possible if he could replace my broken passage side mirror on my new Chevy Truck (I got pinched down a narrow street and broke it, "all-too-hell-&-back"). So, Kevin being Kevin...took on the task in question without hesitation I schedule he's servicing the following morning Thursday 8:30 am to be exact after running to the dealer prior to obtain a new side mirror (ugh these tariffs...ouch). Well, it was great touching bases with Kevin from last year, he jumped right on my mirror replacement. FYI...Kevin pulled a nasty dent from my truck (look-up my past review with Anti-Dent if you have the time). Subsequently, not only does Kevin offer malicious service with a smile. He is just a compassionate and well-rounded human being. Someone you can trust and shoot the crap with without all the BS you normally run in too, in today's crazy times. Lastly, he offers outstanding services that's reasonably priced. You really get what you pay for with Kevin. Ha, you will not leave feeling like you were robbed blind! And that says a lot! Kevin (new owner) is an awesome guy. Took my Prius in to get the wheel bearings replaced. They did the work, it felt smooth and the noise stopped but I started getting a very sporadic issue with brakes and traction light. I figured the 10 year old wheel speed sensor got jostled while they were working on the wheel hub assembly so I took it back to east Long Beach brake service the next week. Kevin ran diagnostics for me, found the sensor issue, and ordered an aftermarket replacement. That afternoon his guys installed it but he went way above and beyond by having his guys redo the entire rear wheel assembly just in case something they did was tripping the sensor. He also did not charge me for ANY labor. I paid 105$ for a new wheel speed sensor, installation and for an entire wheel hub assembly replacement. Several hours of their time plus parts. I even offered to pay for at least some of the labor costs and Kevin refused. I didn't even think it was their fault the sensor was failing, I just thought they bumped a connector prong or jostled a corroded connector or something. I was expecting them to take a look at the sensor then send me to Toyota. Kevin and his guys went way above and beyond for me and refused when I offered to pay him more. Kevin has good taste in music, loves classic cars and is just generally a cool guy. They specialize in steering, suspension, brakes and Kevin also does paintless dent removal on the side. I highly recommend this place to anyone with steering or brake issues. read more
