Tried this food truck for the first time. Got the beef gyro, the beef rice plate and a side of 4 falafel. Got home and started with the gyro. I folded it and the pita immediately broke into 3 pieces and the insides started falling out. The tzasiki is not tzasiki. They call it white sauce. Nothing close. The meat is not sliced off a big skewer. It is 0.5 inch cubes of meat. Dry and I can think of a bunch of other places where it would taste a lot better. The falafel was hard/crunchy on the outside and nice flavor on the inside. I made my own tzasiki sauce to dip. Greek yogurt, grated garlic, grated cucumber, olive oil, kosher salt, lemon juice, white vinegar, white pepper and dill. The rice I actually liked but the the meat was the same cubed meat that was marginal. Will not try this again. read more

This new food truck is currently stationed at the BP station near State Line & Blue Ridge Blvd. My chicken rice platter ($8.99) was ready just two minutes after I ordered at the window, although other menu items had a six minute wait time. It was generously sized, and flavorful, with a salad, plenty of tasty, marinated chicken, and moist, delicious rice, covered with wonderful red and white sauces, which had a little kick. I liked the polite, helpful service, and the convenient credit card reader, but no outdoor seating was currently available. They apologized and told us that they would give us our entire next meal for free - because we had ordered there so frequently we decided to be flexible and took their word for it. Impressed at the variety of vegetables in the salad including carrots and cauliflower, but it was a bit lemony for some. Overall, both meat choices were tasty and a notch above the competition. KC Gyro Guys has a little food truck permanently parked in the parking lot of a BP Gas Station. It can be pricey relative to other food trucks, but the food is very good. The portions are very large. The meat is incredibly tender and well seasoned. The Gyro fries have some heat to them. The falafel is crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The platters (chicken, gyro, falafel) all come with rice and salad. You can tell that the food is from a food truck, but I don't mean that as an incendiary lob. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. Real food made by REAL people. The guys who work here are super chill and the food is absolutely FIRE! Not your typical gyro truck as it has a more middle eastern style flavor to it, they use a couple different types of sauces (not tzatziki sauce) on each order which I was told by the guys is made in house. You can definitely tell they really put the love in the food, it tastes homemade! I always feel great after eating here, no stomach aches or feeling lethargic like fast food does. Also, the meat is Halal which is a HUGE plus for me! Try the combo platter or combo gyro. The gyro fries are great for sharing as well. Make sure you get some hummus with it too, they serve it with extra virgin olive oil which takes it to the next level. They told me twenty minutes, I got here about 30 minutes, they told me 5 more minutes, I filled up with gas and then they told me they were out of rice and it would be at least 20 more minutes. How can a Gyro place not know they are out of rice? The women did not apologize, was very rude and antagonistic and offered nothing. Never and I mean never order from this company! I provide lunch almost everyday for important meetings and have never dealt with a worse organized and rude company and personnel. They literally hung up on my people and told them to not call back. Mind you I spent over $125 on an order they took, confirmed and never came thru on. Just enjoyed our first visit, and we will absolutely be return customers!! We tried the beef gyro combo with fries, a chicken platter combo, and the falafel. The gyro was stuffed to the absolute brim and the fries were crispy, well seasoned, and served fresh right out of the fryer. Chicken platter with rice had TONS of flavor and was a generous portion with a side salad. Falafel had five or six good size pieces about the size of golf balls. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The owner welcomed us personally and spent some time chatting with us and made some recommendations. All in all 10/10!
