Sadly this location has gone down over time. Hoping they can bounce back. You never know if they'll be open, it's randomly closed. I've been visiting this place since it opened a few years ago, and it's one of my favorite places to go when I don't have time to cook, but don't want the feeling of traditional fast food. The food is filling, with pretty good portions and great flavor. I normally order one of their bowls, and I might spring for a wrap occasionally. The shawarma bowl, and lamb kabob bowl are my favorites. Make sure you get extra tahini sauce for your bowl! (If you're a person who likes your food semi-drenched) The fries aren't my favorite, but they pair well with the sauce selection. Wow. I wasn't expected to be blown away by the flavors in a wrap but Shawarmar delivered. Shawarmar is located along Linwood Blvd next to Taco Bell very close to the Costco Warehouse. It replaced a Popeye's location so there is a drive-thru which is convenient, except maybe when they are just opening. My only problem that occurred was the wait time for my food right at opening. I get that they had to get the ovens up or the food cooking but it was about a 10-15min wait for a wrap. They also did not have rice ready to serve for the bowls so I had no choice but to get a wrap. I was very glad though that I was forced to get a wrap because whatever they use as the wrap is extremely fluffy, warm, and toasty at the same time. I got the Shawarma wrap which consisted of sliced chicken shawarma (meat roasting on a spit). The wrap even had some fries inside where were incredible. The creamy garlic sauce that they include in the shawarma wrap was a perfect addition. Everything just went together very well and the meat was perfectly tender. Cost is at a bargain here which makes this place a very very delicious value. At $5.79, you're getting a decently sized wrap. If bowls are more of your thing, they've got this option which gives you a salad with basmati rice. Just make sure you're not there right when they open and they should have rice available. I definitely would love to come back as this is a very good place to have lunch. read more

I popped into the drive-thru for lunch. After checking out their website online, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but wanted to give it a shot. I went with a kabob bowl and a side order of falafel. I didn't realize until later that I didn't get the side salad it's supposed to come with according to the menu (and I did pay for the falafel separately, not as a substitute for the salad). The rice was very tasty, but the kabob was a bit chewy and there wasn't as much meat as I would have liked. It was mostly rice. The falafel was pretty tasty and the side of garlic sauce I got was very good. The service was super friendly and pretty fast. I would probably try it again, but go with the chicken shawarma. I have been going to this establishment for years. I have always gotten the falafel deluxe wrap. Today is the last day I will go to Shawarmar. I ordered my meal, waited twenty minutes in the drive thru, and the guy that gave me the meal first had an attitude problem where he seemed extremely annoyed that I asked for the receipt and ketchup. Okay so I can't lie, the only reason I came here was because my brother and I were in the middle of a Marvel movie marathon and the first Avengers movie references Shawarmar. With that being said, we really liked it and would go back, despite not having the best reason to go in the first place. Each of us got a wrap, his with meat and fries included inside and mine with falafel. They were both flavorful and filling. They got a bit messy at the end but otherwise we really like it! I got the #2, a Shawarmar Deluxe Wrap, with a side of hummus and pita bread. I love the flavor that I got from everything. The garlic sauce in the wrap really brought a nice flavor that I wasn't expecting. The shawarma-style marinated chicken played nicely with the toppings (including the French fries)! I received a BIG portion of hummus in a nice to-go container. I would have liked to have a bit more pita bread to go with it, but I have plenty of crackers, etc. to put the leftovers on!
