I ordered the Gyro Plate - large. It came with several slices of beef and lamb gyro meat, pieces of pita and tzikki sauce. Choice of rice (I chose yellow) and choice of hummus or babaganush (I chose hummus). Plus a mall salad with a tasty vinaigrette type dressing, tomato, cheese, onion and cucumbers on top of lettuce. Really good. Self serve drinks.

Food was amazing. I ordered the falafel plate, with yellow rice, and hummus and I loved it. Ambiance of the restaurant was nice and it was clean. Owner was so sweet! I will be back.

The food is very good. It's definitely on par with other Greek restaurants I've visited. The men working there weren't very friendly when I came in. I went to use the restroom first and wash my hands since I'd been shopping and touching things... I got drilled with questions about being a customer before I could even reach the restroom. It was rude and embarrassing since they yelled at me from the counter. I almost left. That being said, I returned a second time even after that incident. The service wasn't much better; I got a different platter, and again it was good Greek food. I definitely won't bring anyone else here, and will most likely get food to go next time due to the environment being so stale!

I ordered a gyro and fries. The pita was burned, the sauce was tasteless. The fries were great.

Grace and The Mad Greek: A masterclass in Philoxenia... "the ancient Greek art of making a stranger…read morefeel like a God at the table". In a world of mediocre service and soggy pita, Grace at The Mad Greek stands as a titan among mortals. I didn't just eat dinner; I underwent a culinary baptism. The legend began the second I crossed the threshold. The hostess didn't just greet our group; she provided a welcome so warm I personally felt like a long-lost Spartan war hero returning to my village. Her smile was the lighthouse guiding us through the fog of hunger, setting a tone that whispered, "You are home now," and also, "you are about to eat a lot of feta." It was the kind of personalized touch that transforms a simple "table for three" into a banquet for the gods. (My apologies for not asking your name... but that's a lack of management's oversight, as there should be a sculpture-bust of your likeness, decorated with string lights, highlighting your name on a plaque so it's emblazoned on ever guests' mind, your name on the very tips of their lips...) Then, there is Grace. If hospitality were an Olympic sport, Grace would be draped in gold, standing atop the podium while the national anthem of Flavortown plays on a loop. She didn't just "take my order", she curated my destiny. Her timing was so precise, I'm convinced she can see five seconds into the future. My water glass never dropped below the halfway mark, it was as if she were performing some sort of Greek hydro-kinesis. Grace is the GOAT. Period. Then came the Greek Combo. Calling this a 'dinner' is like calling the Odyssey a 'quick blog post.' It was a sprawling, epic masterpiece on a plate. The gyro meat was sliced with the precision of a master sculptor, and the souvlaki was seasoned by the gods themselves. As for the spanakopita, it possessed a structural complexity that would make the architects of the Parthenon weep, with more golden, buttery layers than the shifting labyrinth of Knossos. Every bite was a journey through the Mediterranean that didn't require a passport, just a very large napkin and a moment of silence. If you haven't been served by Grace at The Mad Greek, have you even truly lived? Five stars isn't enough. There's a 'Michelin' Standard being overlooked on Mass street... in the modern "culinary constellation," stars are the ultimate symbol of excellence. By adding a "sixth star" to capture the intergalactic in Grace's service, I'm coming close to being able to describe the celestial level this culinary experience became that even the night sky struggles to contain. Grace: our dinner party will never be able to 'eat Greek' the same again. You've officially ascended to the Acropolis of hospitality as our eternal Goddess of the Sixth Star. And as they used to say in the old country: , ! (...it's all just Greek to me!)

At first I felt slightly overdressed, but as the evening went on the crowd definitely skewed more polished, though overall it still leaned approachable and relaxed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and one of my favorite parts was being able to watch the kitchen in action. The lighting and music might be a little challenging for some older guests, but we had no trouble carrying on conversation at the table. Service was on the slower side, though we were there to enjoy the evening and never felt rushed. We started with the spanakopita and grilled octopus. The spanakopita was excellent, perfectly crisp phyllo with a filling that leaned more spinach-forward than feta-heavy, which I really enjoyed. The octopus was fresh and flavorful, though it wasn't as much of a hit with the rest of the table. For salads, we tried the roasted beet salad and the watermelon feta salad. Both were fine, but on a return visit I'd probably skip them and save room for more appetizers or mains. For entrées, I ordered the lamb shank while my wife had the moussaka. Both dishes were excellent, but the moussaka absolutely stole the show. It's served in a square baking vessel and is rich, comforting, and easily large enough to share between two maybe even three people. To finish, we took baklava to go and stayed for the crème brûlée, which was exactly what you want from a classic version of the dish: creamy custard with a perfectly caramelized top. Overall, Paros delivered a really enjoyable evening with a beautiful atmosphere, strong entrées, and a menu that feels elevated without being pretentious.

Walking into the bright, tastefully appointed restaurant, I was pleased to see it wasn't the over-the-top, kitschy blue and white I'd feared. The maître d' was pleasant and accommodating when three of us arrived 30 minutes early for our party-of-seven reservation, and we were happily seated at the bar for a pre-dinner drink. As I passed into the dining room, I noticed the window into the kitchen, which added to the ambiance. The waitstaff were smartly attired, professional, and polished. Our servers were knowledgeable, efficient, and truly outstanding--it's been years since I've experienced such solid table service. For starters, we shared several plates. Unfortunately, our tasting board (an assortment of vegetables, pita, hummus, and tzatziki) tasted as if someone had taken a salt grinder to the whole thing. On the upside, the fried chickpeas were a fun addition, and the stuffed grape leaves were delightful. Three of us ordered the scallops and risotto for our entrées, and that's where things unraveled. The scallops were cooked to perfection, but the risotto was overwhelmingly salty. My sister took one bite and sadly said, "It's too salty." I tried mine and had to agree. Our father--ever the Midwesterner--finished his dish despite the saltiness rather than complain. I quietly informed our waiter that all three risottos were over-salted. I share this because I truly wanted to give Paros five stars: the service and atmosphere were incredibly enjoyable, and the wine list (with plenty of Greek options) was terrific. Sadly, someone must have been heavy-handed with the salt last night. I'd love to return and see if it was just an off evening--3.5 stars from me.
