I stopped going to this salon a few years ago for two reasons: the male owner somehow always ended up doing my manicure and always gave me square nails after I had repeatedly asked for round. His demeanor was never friendly and I couldn't take it any longer. Second, I moved and tried a new location for convenience. I started going back a couple months ago just for a pedicure and was thrilled that Andy had remembered me after a few years of being gone. He was very friendly as usual and I was happy with my pedicures. I went in today, and got a manicure for the first time in forever and my nails came out completely botched. I asked for round and they came out square. I got dip powder and my nails came out with a speckled texture as well. I didn't bother asking the nail tech to fix my nails as she truly thought my nails were round and I didn't have the time for them to be fixed anyways. My mistake on trying to give them another shot. Mary is the only one who knows how to properly do fingernails, but she's so busy and I don't do anything extravagant, just plain nails so I don't bother making appts with her. My own fault for going back, but today was my last straw. read more

Never coming back to this place. I got a gel pedicure. They messed up several times. I asked for hot pink and the lady started doing hot pink French tips after I told her specifically the whole nail. And then I wanted a couple hearts red and white on my big toes and she ended up putting a big red heart right in the center, she couldn't understand me so she brought her owner to see my toes and the owner just laughed and was talking shit to her and didn't give 0 fucks, so I made the lady re do both big toes all over again. She ended up putting 3 white hearts. I had to fix the hearts when I got home. Everybody that works here all act dumb and doesn't care about customer service. I didn't tip, the owner is a bitch. I don't recommend this place at all. If you don't know how to listen and do simple art on nails then why are u working there? Lol. This place sucks read more

First time visiting. I called earlier in the day to make two pedicures appointments in the evening. Although making appointments, we had to wait 45 minutes to get to a spa chair. It was busy, please were coming in with appointments and they were being told it would be "15 minutes" when it was clearly not going to be 15 minutes. Plus people without appointments were also coming in and they were agreeing to see them. First my daughter gets seated. The man who gave her the pedicure was so rushed, he got her pedicure done in 20 minutes tops. He didn't even handle her toenails properly and left some longer than others. Later we left, we realized that he didn't even completely paint her toenails. I was next to be seen by him. It felt like we were on a service line. Everything was super rushed. I didn't even relax for one minute and after he hurriedly work on my toes for 15 minutes, I told him not to paint my toenails. He told me would do them and I was just over it. Paid & left. I came home and fixed the toenails he didn't cut correctly and painted them myself. All this being said, I will never go back there. Nor do I recommend this place to anyone. read more

The technician rushed the job and not tentative to the services, which means they are not following the protocol to clean the tools properly behind close door. This place had poor standard of care and services. Regarding Andy: please avoid him. I went into the salon today to do a pedicure with callus removal $35, and I feel unfortunate to received poor service from a nail technician named Andy. He was unprofessional and rude. He rushed the service and literally spend only 20 mins on my feet. I feel angry and even more stress with his work. He was rough and sloppy. I still have callus on my feet and my feet felt rough. It was in the worst condition than before I walked into this salon. His nail polish paint job was smeared and my feet were soaking with lotion and still water dripping . Andy has the lack of experience to be a nail tech, he struggled to use the tool, he barely removes my cuticles, and he doesn't know how the use the cuticle nipper, he YANK my skin! He didn't not rub off excessive lotion. When I notified him about his poor quality of work, he became aggressive and combative with me. He refused to fixed the sloppy job and blamed me for having callus. Lol, if I didn't have callus, then why would I need them to be removed?? Even management said and agreed with me that his work was poor and not up to the standard of care. To the owner: please hired more qualified and better manner nail technician. Does ANDY even have a license? I do want to acknowledged that you did gave me a $5 discount due to my concern because I was not happy paying for price for Andy's poor work. But you only did so because I was visually upset and said out loud that Andy did not do a good job. You did not step into to do crisis management and I have to ask you. You were oblivious to the situation and didn't do damage control. You had the nerve to tell me, why didn't you request for the callus removal? I DID! And your nail guy did a shitty job. They actually take the time to do the job right unlike your place. You and your staff were low keying told me that next time I should request to use it and I said no. God is my witness! What unethical business! Don't worry, I will never take another step into your unethical business practice. to name calling my crusty feet, this is very mature of you, and shifted the blame onto to me being a difficult customer. Let's break the culture of shaming customer and name calling. You're trying to write a false narrative about me, making me look like low class and uneducated. If you must know why I have callus, I like to run and play with my kids and having fun in our big backyard. You need to manage your staff better. You care more about covering up a bad job of your staff did. I sat there because I was still waiting for the nail polish to be dry, and I was trying to wrap my head to understand that maybe I just got scam by your business. Your customers felt uncomfortable due Andy raising his voice and acted out for refusing to correct his work. He threw a man-child tantrum. If you think the works that Andy did was acceptable and blaming my feet for having callus, and he did not complete the job properly, then you must set some low standard and value for your business practice. Once again thank you for your reply. Don't worry, I will take my "crusty feet" some where else, where they have higher standard of care and respect their clients. The male technician doing my nails chose the wrong color and wouldn't listen to me telling him that the color was wrong up until my hands were being done and there was a clear difference. He spent about 20 mins on my feet and my toddler could've applied more pressure on any of the tools he used. I'm sitting here right now while writing this review. The very old nail tech DESTROYED my nails. Instead of removing my gel polish properly with light buffing, then acetone, she decided to drill all of my nails down to nothing. She left the acetone on for maybe 2 minutes. She cut me twice and made me bleed. While she was drilling I asked my gf if they drilled her color off and she said no, they soaked it off. I looked down to different layers of uneven nails and peeling corners. My nails were now all bending and thin. I told her to stop and took my hands back. I asked her why she drilled the color off when no other tech did this. She just kept staring at me while the manager sat there quiet. I then told her I don't want any color, she destroyed my nails. I then asked to speak to the manager. The woman who was doing my gfs nails pointed to her. I told her my nails were destroyed. Why did her employee drill my color off? She told me she already yelled at her. I said that doesn't help me. She asked if I wanted dip powder to which I replied no, that will only further destroy my nails. She then proceeded to get angry and snap at me telling me she yelled at her what more do i want from her. I told her I'd like her to be professional and to not get upset at me for her employee absolutely annihilating my nails. And a SORRY would be nice. She proceeded to keep saying loudly that she already yelled at her employee. It's really easy to lose your cool with people, but you have to remember how ignorant and incapable most people are. This manager was definitely one of them. You just have to feel sorry for them and never give your business to places run by these types of people. I never got an apology from anyone. The manager is also referring to other reviewers as "bi***" as you can see the level of trash is very apparent. read more

i dont like this place at all. this older lady was doing my mother and I's nails, she didn't take off the cuticle very well. She painted our nails very fast, and painted our skin. She tried cleaning it up w a DRY paintbrush like what is that gonna do ? she tried charging a dip powder removal on me when I didn't have any on?? I told her yes I had dip powder a couple days prior , but no your employee didn't remove anything. They charged $50 FOR A PEDICURE on my mom. Two gel manicures and a pedicure was $109. My usual salon charged my mother and me and little sister $110. All pedicures were gel, two gel manicures. One dip n gel manicure W/ RHINESTONES. Never ever ever again. I come here every once in a while. They are pricey but usually good. The lady who did my pedicure was kind and did a good job, however the lady who was working on my manicure (full acrylic) did not do a good job at all. She was very aggressive when it came to grabbing and letting go of my hand, at one point basically threw my hand back at me. I believe her desk was number 4. My nails came out chunky and uneven. I wanted a short and simple French tip. Each finger is a different thickness with the white and although I told her I wanted them short and showed her where, she seemed to be annoyed after I corrected her on the length as I wanted them shorter than she had done and she still didn't make it the length I wanted (the acrylic wasn't even on yet this was just the nail extensions). She seemed like she was having a bad day which I have seen from her before. I had to leave as soon as she finished as they were closing. I hope they will fix my nails with no problems. I was there for an hour and a half getting a full set and unfortunately my nails came out horrible. I asked for almond shape and my nails definitely weren't almond at all. The were all uneven. I called and Mary told me to come in and they will fix them. So I went back and yes they fixed the shape and repainted them but 3 days later all the nail polish is now peeling off. So unfortunate, at this point I've gotta my nails done twice in one week and now I have to go pay another place to fix them once again. I went to this place for the 1st time at the beginning of March 2023. To say it politely, the work I got was crap! My nails were all different lengths. I had acrylic put on my toes as well and the guy who did them, tried to get away with only doing 3 of my toes on each foot! He was just going to paint the others until I told him that I what said ALL nails. The following morning, I took off to Placerville, outside of Sacramento, to take care of my aunt and uncle who were in a very bad car accident. They went head on into a tree about 3 months ago and my uncle just got out of hospital 2 weeks ago. Anyways, the night I arrived, following night after my appt, I emailed them on Instagram and told them about the horrible job that was done. By this point, 2 of the toenails had already fallen off too. The owner called me almost a week later and told me I could come back in and they would replace everything. I told her the day I was coming back and I could come in the following day. She said that was fine. Well, unfortunately, due to my rare tissue and collagen disease, I woke up the morning after getting home with my thumb dislocated. Normally, I can brace it for a day and it's fine but not this time. So I texted the owner and told her about it. She said that was fine and just come in when I could. Well, a week later, I got a call from my aunt, telling me she had a surgery coming up and had no one to take her. So I had to make the drive back up to Placerville. Before leaving, I stopped in and showed the owner everything wrong with them and that I was still in my brace due to thumb still not staying in place. I informed her I would be back in 1-2 weeks. She said that was fine. Well, when I got back, my thumb was much worse. So I messaged her with an update and told her I wasn't sure when I would be able to come in again. I also had a fall while up north and had an infected wound on my left knee, along with severe bruising in the foot and lower leg. So I told her that was preventing me from coming in for even just the pedicure. She informed me that now, I would have to pay for the full price of my pedicure and 1/2 the price of my full set (since I had to take off the nails due to them getting too long and my thumb. I informed her that I was getting casted the following day, so there was no possible way for me to have anyone touch any part of my left hand. I asked her what she expected me to do since I had a dislocated thumb when I came back. I have attached pictures of the text conversation and my arm in the cast. It's clear they don't value their customers, even the ones that tip extremely well despite a poor job being done. I gave each of the 2 who worked with me $15/each, $20 paid with cash and the other $10 paid thru my Venmo account. Would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE!!! read more

This is my first pedicure since February because I thought I'd treat myself today. I really had the worst pedicure. Paper was only put to separate a few of my toes which I thought was weird, but the red flags showed up when my big toe nail was cut very very short. The paint job was terribly done (and all over my skin, some of the nails didn't have paint) that I asked the lady to take them off because I didn't want to sit through that again. I paid $60 for my full set (extra charge for the ombré) and $18 for the pedicure, which I think are reasonable prices for the amount of work the ombré was. my nails were done by a man (didn't catch his name) but he took his time and made sure they were the way I wanted them which I really appreciate. UPDATE: went back today & im obsessed. Mary cut them down to exactly where I like. She worked fast & efficient and they are very square! For a gel fill it was $28... not too pricey. They charge $1 to use a card, so bring cash :) Love how clean this salon is. And it's right up the street from my house which is perfect! I had an appt at 12 with Mary. I walked in about 20 minutes early and she sat me down right away which was awesome. It's been 6 months since I had nails so I was excited to finally get them back on. They have a wide variety of gel colors to choose from and a wall full of SNS powder which I know nothing about haha. Mary seemed very nice. We didn't talk much but she was very friendly when we did. She's the owner so it's a great representation of her salon. They seem pretty organized when it comes to appts as her appt book was right in front of me so I'm guessing the appt complaints are from people doing it off yelp. Cmon people, just call the salon! It takes one minute and she is most likely writing you in as you're on the phone. Now I loved how she did my nails. They weren't as square as I like but I didn't specify how square I like them so It's not a deal breaker. she did my nails fast which I appreciate since I can't stand sitting there for a long period of time. And she didn't cut me! Thank the lord! That's when I get angry haha All together for a full set with gel color $35. Not bad, I think gel color is getting out of hand with its pricing. According to their price board it seems it's $13 more for gel color. I could be wrong but a full set is $22 and I didn't do anything special. So I'm assuming $13 for gel. If I could give it zero stars, I would! Kathy, the "young" one cut my toe while she was giving me a pedicure!! I didn't notice until I got home but realized that she was probably trying to rush me out the door because of the cut. Also, when she was painting my toe nails she didn't even put tissue between my toes which messed up my polish and left polish on the skin of the "neighboring" toe. Ugh what an awful experience. I came here to get my nails done for prom the first picture is what I asked for and the rest is what I got. They told me if I wanted them short it was 35$ I was okay with it as long as it had a design. Throughout the process I asked if there were going to do ombré they said it wasn't available in gel and I was okay with it as long as the put some glitter on it. Later on I asked if they were going to put glitter and they said "it was too late". They also cut 2 of my fingers that they kept a bugging with a nail filler . The outcome was uneven plain black nails for prom that i can not get rid of for the next month. Before I left they said that I said no to the design because they charged 65$ when they only told me that the length was what made the price 65$. I DO NOT recommend this place for acrylics . I've been going to this place for almost a year now. I always get Gel X by the same artist. My nails always turn out lovely.However, their prices for Gel X with designs are expensive and somewhat inconsistent from my experience. I got Gel X with french tip and one heart on each ring finger and it costed me $80! However, other designs I've gotten that had more designs on them costed me the same price! The Purple and pink nails cost me $80. Green nails I'm not exactly sure how much they costed but they definitely costed me less than $80. And the white are the nails I got today. Why did my nails today cost just as much as my other nails with harder and more details?? I actually wanted a heart on all of my fingers but the guy told me it would've costed $90??,when the other nails with 3 hearts on each finger (last pic) costed me $80? The nails are nice, but not worth the price at all. I will not be returning due to very high inconsistent prices. read more

I was long overdue for a mani and pedi, so I requested an appointment through Yelp. Mary responded right away (on thanksgiving no less) and I was able to book for the next day. When I arrived, I only had to wait a few minutes for a spa chair. The water was luke warm but I'm sure I could have asked for hotter water. I opted for the regular pedicure ($18) and added callus removal for $5. I had some ingrown toenails and my tech tried her darndest to get them out. I know they were tough, and there was some blood, but I completely expected that. She actually had a gentle touch throughout the whole experience. Halfway through my pedicure, a gentleman started working on my nails. I wanted to try the dipped powder which starts at $35. It was an extra $5 for cuticle cutdown, which I expected to be included in the original price. My finger nails were all different sizes, some long, some short, but they were still able to make a lovely almond shape on all of my nails. I will note that he filed pretty rough and cut my fingertip in the same place a few times, which stung throughout the rest of the process, and even now as I'm writing this review. Once my pedi was done and after all my nails were filed, I was moved to a regular station to begin the dipping powder. I actually enjoyed this process way better than a gel mani because there was no odor. I felt like the whole process is much quicker, also, since there's no curing needed. My total came out to $75, including tip, which I felt to be slightly more than I was expecting, but I am very happy with the results. Something extra to add: the dipped powder for $35 is solid color only. I asked about the ombré mani, and that was an additional $15, bringing the cost to $50. read more

Love this nail salon and have been going here for almost 2 years now. Mary, Henry and the nail techs are always friendly and do a great job whether it's a pedicure, nail designs or acrylics. I was in the salon on the day "Ana M." came in (see the previous review) and was the actual client she speaks of that Mary was working on. Her review isn't accurate and parts are just flat out untrue. First, I didn't just show up. I had a 2pm appointment for a fill that last minute turned into a nail take off and full set. Mary was kind enough to accomodate me even though it wasn't what I was originally scheduled for. "Ana M." came in a little after 3pm when Mary greeted her and told her she was behind for her 3pm appt. because my nails were taking a little longer than she expected. She immediately offered "Ana M." another tech to which she hesitantly said "as long as they're careful I guess!" Then almost instantly after said "I'll just come back." Mary was still trying to accomodate her by asking her if she wanted to start her pedicure first to which "Ana M." replied "I didn't bring sandals, so no. I'll just come back THANK YOU!!" With extra attitude on the "thank you" btw. I saw how bad Mary felt so I told her she could stop doing my nails and I would wait till she finished "Ana M." (even though I felt "Ana M." didn't really deserve the kind gesture after all the attitude) and go call her back from outside to let her know she would do her nails. Mary was reluctant to leave me waiting but after I insisted, she went out and called to her not one time, not two times but 3 times from less then 5 ft. away and "Ana M." stood there and flat out ignored her with her back tuned! Seems like "Ana M." was being a tad bit bratty (it's only nails girl, not emergency surgery) and wasn't going to be happy no matter what was offered to her. So the moral of this TRUE story/review? Don't post untrue statements and embellished reviews because someone may be in the same place at the same time as you AND oh yeah, is also on Yelp! read more
