I was looking through yelp to find a new nail salon near me since my last nail spot started becoming a little ridiculous with their prices.. This place is only 2 minutes away from where I live and I read all the great reviews so decided to give it a try. I'm happy I did! I walked in and asked for a pedi-gel and gel x. They sat me down right away. I didn't know what I wanted as far as color and design, thought of at the last minute and they didn't mind at all. They exceeded all my expectations! The lady who did my pedi had a very sweet, kind and warm vibe so I felt relaxed and comfortable. A man did my gel x and he was also nice. I told him how I wanted my nails done and asked if they could match my pedi with my nails (kinda last minute) and he said sure, no problem. Finally, the price was very affordable for what I got and I'm happy it wasn't 200-300 dollars like the last place I was going to. Thank you THT nails! I had a really disappointing experience here. When I sat down for my manicure, I tried to explain to the nail tech that my fingers are very sensitive and that I need her to be careful around my cuticles. I usually go to Cheri Nail Bar in Fullerton, and they've always been attentive when I mention this and make sure they're gentle so I don't get cut. Unfortunately, I didn't feel listened to here. While I was trying to explain my sensitivity, someone walked into the salon and the nail tech seemed more focused on seeing who had come in. She actually told me to hush while I was talking so she could pay attention to who walked in, which I thought was rude and unprofessional. She then continued with my manicure and ended up nicking my finger badly enough that I started bleeding. I was already frustrated because this was exactly what I had been trying to warn her about. Then she was rough again and nicked me a second time. At that point, I was irritated and uncomfortable. She was trying to stop the bleeding, but she also seemed upset about the situation, which made the experience even more unpleasant. I understand that small cuts can sometimes happen during a manicure, but I specifically tried to communicate beforehand that my fingers are sensitive and felt like I wasn't given the chance to properly explain that. Overall, I just wish she had listened to me from the beginning and been more attentive. I've never had this issue at Cheri Nail Bar in Fullerton because they actually listen when I tell them about my sensitivity and take the extra care needed. Came here at the request of my girlfriend who said that my fingers and toes needed a more refined look. She's a regular there, and despite my initial doubts of having someone else cut and clean my nails, they did an awesome job of manicure and pedicure. The technicians are friendly, warm, and accommodating. The salon is super clean and well maintained. I sat back on an electronic massage chair and relaxed while they did all the work. As a guy, it's not common for me to like such things, but the service was friendly, the prices were very reasonable, and it's a self-care treat we should all enjoy for ourself. This nail salon is by far THE BEST I have been to, and I've been to a lot. My favorite nail artist takes their time to shape the nails exactly how I want them. They do not touch the cuticle bed which is a big plus to me, (and overall nail health). They make sure to ask if you're liking what you see throughout the process and gladly make changes if you don't. The facility is very well maintained and clean too. The prices are reasonable and fair. I like to tip and pay in cash, and highly recommend doing so! I've asked for complex nail designs and they have never failed to deliver! I was really happy with their work from the start, but after years of being a customer it just became about the money for them and they just kept charging me more and more it didn't make sense and they put me white gel polish with bumps in it after going home my gel X nails that I paid $80 for came right off and had bumps in multiple nails I've asked to have the nail repaired and color changed which I think should be done free of charge. They claimed they couldn't provide a regular polish because the individual would possibly move too much -- which was not the case. New Spot & I love it :) Kim did my nails and Tiffany did my pedi. The spot is a little hidden behind trees from the street side but once you're in you can't miss the sign. I made an appointment in advance but fortunately they worked with me when I arrived an hour early, hoping they can get started. They were gracious enough to take me and my partner early. But yesterday, I went inside and waited for my mom and sister to get their nails done. The inside has been completely remodeled. It is fresh and clean. Nice and bright. Very inviting and comfortable. I also found out it is under new management. Kelly, Jimmy and their entire team is very friendly. They were very attentive and seemed to be very good at what they do. Per my observations, other customers looked like they were having a good time inside getting their nails done too. Both my mom and sister were very happy with the finish of their nails. New place and this salon is terribly ran. I called and made an appointment for full set at 10am. I show up and the person who does acrylics wasn't even in the salon. She shows up late and starts to work on a girl. I say excuse me but I called and made an appointment for 10am today. She replied with "well everyone has an appointment and we can start you at 12." It's Christmas Eve and I have to work at 2:00pm-8:00pm tonight. What kind of answer is everyone has an appointment??? I couldn't wait around and maybe have her fit me in. I got out of the pedicure chair (which I only got in because I was waiting for her), and left. How she runs a business beats me. Pic below is of work from my last visit here. I came here a few days ago as soon as the time said they'd be open, and it was still closed. I thought maybe the hours weren't updated so I decided to stick around, and they were just a few minutes late. I didn't have an appointment, hence why I tried coming so early, and thankfully they were able to get me. I'm not sure if they have different services for pedicures, the lady just started working on my toes. I think you have to ask for callous removal or hot wax (if they offer). The man who did my nails did an amazing job! He took his time and made sure all the acrylic nails were even. I asked to put a little orange in my marble nails, I would have liked the powder so it would have blended better, but he used the gel design.
