The meal was off to a good start with appetizers. The calamari and grilled shrimp were nicely prepared. Things began going downhill from there. The Caesar salad that followed was way below average. Anemic lettuce with a bland dressing with 2 measly croutons should not be on the menu. As far as entrees, free range chicken surrounded by mashed potatoes and vegetables was served with chicken that was raw in the center. This is beyond acceptable and ruined the meal for everyone. Certain issues are forgivable but this would not be one of them. The meal was on the house but no one had an appetite at that point. We were victims of Thanksgiving Snowmageddon 2014 (yes. it was over-rated), while staying at the hotel that shares a parking lot. I tend to be very picky about steak, so it was with a bit of trepidation that we crossed the parking lot to KC Prime. I had reviewed the menu online before we went, and it looked decent for a steakhouse, but I've been to other steakhouses in the area that looked good on paper. This time, i was pleasantly surprised. The steak I had (a Porterhouse) was very good, and cooked to the proper temperature - med-rare. The baked potato was huge and tasty. My wife had the chicken - she said it was a bit dry, but tasty. (Why get chicken at a steakhouse?) Her mashed potatoes were excellent. She said she wasn't happy with the Brussels sprouts, and the waitress had them taken off the bill. As someone else mentioned, the only reason to have a cucumber is to have one in the cucumber martini. It's like Vichyssoise, only better, because you drink it. The service was good - I made reservations online, and when we arrived early, we were seated immediately. We were greeted promptly and given time to review the menu - we also had the specials announced before we considered our choices. Courses were served with decent intervals - my martini, then our house salads, then our entrees. I never felt rushed, but we were never waiting long for whatever we needed. The reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is that I would much rather spend $500 on 5 people at another restaurant that has a bit more creative dishes on the menu. Tip: Get the calamari! read more

Came here for a wedding rehearsal dinner, so our meal was predetermined. Since we were at a Steak house, we of course went with the steak. Our meal came out perfect and the portions were frighteningly huge! Meat was cooked just right. Giant steak coupled with a giant baked potato! Awesome! I pretty much snarfed my steak and potato down then proceeded to chip away at my husband's leftover steak. They have a nice bar on one side of the restaurant. Lovely brunch today. This was my second time coming for brunch. They have a nice variety of foods with adequate staff patroling & replenishing. Everything is very fresh and delicious. Coffee was hot and offered repeatedly. I had an outrageous spicy Bloody Mary with an enormous shrimp garnish. My friend and I spent most of three hours chatting & the bill want brought until I signaled for it. I am always happy that the server continues to check and refill water no matter how long you sit even offering more coffee. I hate to feel abandoned. Great food and service! read more

I just ate here for the first time to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. I ordered the 8 oz Filet Mignon. It came with Bourbon Sweet Potato Mash and a salad. I upgraded my salad to the Wedge. Also ordered a side of Brussels Sprouts. The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The Sprouts were garlicky and delicious! Probably the best I've had! The service was great! Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our server overheard our conversation about my Dad's birthday and brought out a candle lit dessert... for free. I'm deducting a star because we had a reservation, but still had to wait for a table. It wasn't very busy either. Other than that, I have no complaints! Sunday Brunch. Very good experience. Excellent mix between breakfast/lunch foods and the salad, cheese and pastry table. Omlette and carving stations were particularly good, throwing chicken wings and fingers is a plus. I'd put the horseradish sundried tomato vinaigrette on just about anything. Only real weak point was the dill salmon, overpowering sauce and the fish gets dried out on the tray. While much isn't asked of your server at a buffet, drinks were kept full and dishes were gone by the time we returned to our table. The inside is really pretty. It is cozy and very inviting. My husband and I were seated and shortly after, a basket of warm bread and delicious hummus/oil was placed on our table. Very tasty and fresh. Our calamari appetizer was cooked and dressed perfectly. Home run. Unfortunately, the dazzle stopped after the appetizer. I ordered sangria and it tasted like seltzer water with hints of fruit and alcohol far. . . far . . . far in the background. My husband's crab cake sandwich and my strip steak sandwich both left much to be desired. My sandwich was not tender. It was just a big hunk of meat on a baguette with a few garnishes (leeks and aioli). This would be ok if you could get through the meat without looking like a savage.The meat should have been sliced. My husband's crab cake sandwich lacked texture. Everything was soft. Soft bread, soft crab cake, soft veggies (tomato, lettuce). There was no texture contrast. For dessert we had the bananas foster bread pudding. Not bad. I'm not sure what qualified it as banana foster. Maybe the light caramel drizzle on the plate? Or the jello texture like banana bread pudding? The service was ok. Our waitress was pleasant but never once asked us how our meal was. She had to be stopped and asked for things like a side of garlic aioli (which tasted like thickened oil) and to take away the seltzer water disguised as sangria. A few changes in the menu would make KC prime top notch. This place is not cheap and one would expect a well put together meal at their steak house prices. Attended an industry-sponsored dinner last evening. 37 attendees and only 2 servers. Room was upstairs and drinks had to be brought up the stairs. We waited over half an hour for our drinks to arrive. Food was similarly slow. Salads were small but ok. When the main course was served a 3rd, obviously inexperienced, server assisted. Still my food achieved room temperature as I waited for those around me to be served. The New York Strip was tasty but very chewy. My jaw muscles exhausted, I left half of it. The baked potato was delicious as was the cheesecake for dessert. It struck me as a mildly upscale Outback with less-enthusiastic servers, certainly not a competitor to Morton's, Capitol Grille or Ruth's Chris. The reason I'll never be back: while our speaker was giving his talk, several of us noted a mouse (the furry kind) run the length of the room along the baseboard of the wall behind him. I have been wanting to go to this place for dinner for quite some time as I have had a few great business lunches here. I visited tonight for dinner for the first time in a very long time and it was exactly what I expected. I started off with the French onion and it was very good. My date had the wedge and it was also very good , we had a great bottle of Pinot noir and it was also great. The service was excellent and I like the ambiance, our booth was very private. It has been quite some time since I have had a top notch ny strip steak. It will be a little longer of a wait as my strip steak was very good , but definitely not great. It was cooked perfectly medium rare just like I like it but it was a little too tough. My date got the filet and it was top notch, close to as good as we have had so she was very happy. I am looking forward to trying the prime rib and maybe the porter house. We both enjoyed the homemade steak sauce , it was really good. It is really tough to find a good ny strip and I was hoping that this place would save me from driving to Sullivan's in king of Prussia or my favorite the capital grill in center city. We were extremely impressed with the 8 oz filet and would highly recommend ordering the filet. I do want to try the weekend brunch , have heard good things about it and there really aren't too many brunch places in the area. Just came home from eating a wonderful dinner here with three other people. Service was great - water glasses always filled and questions were answered. The bread was decent - nothing special. We had calamari as appetizer - very good. The sauce on it was killer. The bacon and blue cheese wedge salad was good - only complaint was that it needed more dressing and bacon pieces. The 8 oz filet was cooked "medium" perfectly with amazing bourbon glazed sweet mashed potatoes. This one dude from the wait staff heard me talking about steak sauces and brought over this port wine sauce! So nice of him to do that. It was astounding!!!! Food sampled all got rave reviews. Calamari was fried well with a sauce that had just the right amount of "tang" to it. Salads were fresh with very tasty dressings. My wife and I have enjoyed coming to this place for years. Their calamari is second to none. Last weekend we took friends there and I'm sad to report I was sorely disappointed. My "medium" fillet was damn near well done. The waiter came by 5 minutes after it was served to see if all was well and it was far too late to complain by then. I chose not to say anything about the situation as it was terribly awkward for our guests to have to wait for me to get another fillet and I didn't want to ruin the mood. Besides, I firmly believe that a fine dining establishment should get it right the first time .. No excuses! To add to it all when I was told they didn't have my preferred brand of scotch I opted for one of the waiter's suggested substitutes. I was charged $30 for that shot of scotch! Really? Seriously? The waiter apologized saying he should have mentioned that earlier (yeaaahhh). Omelet station with all the fixings, carving stations .... Turkey breast melt in the mouth...each one of us had 2 servings of that ... Desserts galore!!! Atmosphere was very friendly. I had been hearing for some time now about this new place and how great the food and atmosphere was. I decided to find out for myself! What a fantastic surprise! We walked in and were greeted immediately by professional and pleasent members of their staff. Our waitress was very attentive during the entire fabulous meal which consisted of steamed jasmine rice, rainbow Swiss chard and a lemon buerre blanc! SUPERB! My guest had the porter house steak, let me just say I'm not a big meat eater and as I tried his dish I was blown away! Best steak I've ever had!
