The colorful artwork throughout the cafe gives it a unique and welcoming atmosphere. I ordered the Açaí Da Cove (Small) with granola, banana, strawberry, and honey. The fruit was fresh, the granola added a nice crunch, and the honey brought everything together perfectly. It was refreshing, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving. We also tried the Strawberry Zowie smoothie and the Piña Colada smoothie. Both were delicious. The Strawberry Zowie was smooth and packed with fresh strawberry and banana flavor, while the Piña Colada was creamy, refreshing, and a great complement to the açaí bowl. Fresh ingredients, friendly service! Parking is tight but worth it.

Whatever is currently being served as "açaí" tastes nothing like açaí. Instead of the rich, dark berry flavor and texture I was expecting, it was a strange lavender-colored mixture that seemed heavily diluted and lacked the authentic taste of açaí altogether. I've been a customer for years, so this wasn't just a one-off first impression. The quality seems to have changed dramatically, and it's frustrating to pay premium prices for something that barely resembles an açaí bowl. I truly hope Da Cove revisits their recipe or ingredients because this used to be one of my favorite spots. Unfortunately, this experience left me disappointed and unlikely to return until the quality improves.

Pretty simple order, but it was made to order, the veggies were fresh, and the meat was flavorful and not salty. The patty paired really well with the potato bun and veggies. I did not get a picture, but I also stopped inside the market and tried the blueberry cream cheese scone and banana scone. I heated them up when I got back to where I was staying, and it was still very moist and the texture reminded me of a muffin. My only flaw would be I wish that they had more cream cheese as the ratio was kind of off.

Started by award-winning chef and restauranteur Kelvin Ro in 2002, this popular restaurant is known for its "grab-and-go" market with bakery and deli; and a grill serving local-style plate lunches and burgers. It offers a mix of fresh, local Hawaiian food with casual, quick-service atmosphere, popular with locals and tourists for its fresh, reasonably priced meals and baked goods. The grab-and-go offerings include gourmet deli, house-roasted meats, entrees, salads, sandwiches, soups, and desserts. Non-food merchandise includes creative note cards and freshly made lei. (their lei appear pricy). They also collaborate with other companies to offer taro chips and ice cream. The bakery's popular items include its blueberry cream cheese scones, lemon crunch cake, and Diamond Head torte. The grill has a takeout window and offers upscale local Hawaiian fare with charbroiled and grill services. The items we've tried are: * Blueberry cream cheese scones. Best scones I've ever had! Huge, flaky, moist tender with pockets of solid cream cheese and juicy blueberries make this a popular item! * Lemon crunch cake. The original layered lemon cream cake with toffee bits, with the rumor being a former employee used the same or similar recipe at Aiea Bowl. I still say that this cake at Diamond Head Bakery has more whipped cream, lemon cream, and toffee bits than at Aiea Bowl. * Teri chicken plate. Marinated chicken thighs and glazed with a sweetened Japanese style teri sauce and served with white or brown rice. Nice teri flavor enjoyed by locals, although not too familiar with visitors. Will try the char siu chicken sandwich or chicken plate next time, as it is not normally offered by plate lunch places. Both the grab-n-go and grill sections get busy with customers, and staff are knowledgeable about their items to answer questions produce efficient and quick service. Many appear to be long-time staff. No fancy ambiance, as space is used to display their merchandise for fast turnover. Owner Kelvin Ro has supported the University of HI's Culinary Institute of the Pacific at Diamond Head through monetary pledges in providing training to students in culinary arts. Hours of operation are 7:30a to 8p daily; award-winning breakfast items made to order (pancakes, fluffy omelets, roasted pork hash, loco moco) every Sat/Sun from 7:30a to 10:30a. Free private parking available fronting the front entrance, although cars may have some difficulty going in and out of the spaces due to congestion during peak hours. Diamond Head Market & Grill offers a mix of fresh, local Hawaiian food with a casual, quick service atmosphere, popular with both locals and tourists with its reasonable price meals and baked goods! It feels like one of those places that has become trendy because someone on Instagram popularized it. The sandwich was good but not great. The lettuce was turning brown. In my opinion, a really great sandwich excels because you can taste the quality, freshness, and flavor of its individual ingredients. In my sandwich, the turkey was flavorless and it felt like they used a strong, heavy sauce to give it flavor, which to me does not make for a foodie destination, $15+ sandwich. Māla Market in Hawaii Kai remains, by far, my favorite sandwich. And given how long Sprout took, I could've driven to Hawaii Kai, gotten my sandwich, and driven back in less time.

Mostly we go as a takeout spot, although there was a bench outside. Their sandwich menu has variety but is not overwhelming. The people working have also been quite nice! We decided to get the No Comply toasted. While it is a pricier sandwich, as it was about $14, the sandwich came packed with chicken, lettuce, and more. It served as a meal and a half! It was also super tasty with the roasted garlic mayo and pesto. Definitely a go-to sandwich order that I am looking forward to getting again!

Their salads were just that good and it never felt like you were eating "healthy" food. We ordered the Ono Island Ahi and the Mandarin Ginger, and flavor wise the salads themselves still hold up. Portions felt fair and the prices were reasonable in my opinion. I also appreciated that it came with two pieces of pita bread. That said, the service really took away from the experience. When we ordered, the employee took our order but did not really start making the salad. His manager had to come out, at which point he jumped a bit and then started assembling the salad. He did not ask if we wanted it tossed, which they used to do, and instead just layered everything together. The biggest disappointment came when I got home and realized my Ono Island Ahi salad had no dressing at all, not on the side and not inside. That was frustrating and honestly a letdown, especially since the dressing is a big part of what makes these salads so good. The space itself looks clean and it is very convenient being inside Kahala Mall, with plenty of parking which is always a plus. Overall, the food concept is great and the salads are still tasty, but the service is lacking and needs improvement for me to fully enjoy coming back regularly.

This time we also tried the Paniolo salad. To get our protein in, I added ahi (their seasoned seared ahi is delish) and steak to the salads. I also decided to add mandarin oranges, bell peppers, and cucumbers to the Paniolo salad for 99 cents each. Was little disappointed at the portion size of those additions. Was also disappointed with the steak. There was lots of crunchy/hard/chewy pieces that had to be tossed. I normally always order online but to get the seasoned ahi, best to order in person.
