Best acai in Honolulu. The consistency is amazing. The coffee is also good too, but I do want to note that the latte is more on the milker side. My group had to order an extra shot of espresso to make sure it tasted like a coffee instead of steamed milk. Service is so sweet, and there is seating indoors and outdoors. read more

"Here's Looking at you kid". Our son is a Junior at University of Hawai'i at Mānoa and a regular at this neighborhood gem. He just had to bring us here during our visit to Honolulu, Hawai'i as his favorite breakfast place. This strip mall corner shop has easy parking next to Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach, easy walking distance from the hotels and beach---well worth the short walk. The coffee and cappuccino is excellent! You counter order as you get to Bogart's which has a pretty extensive menu offerings from Hawai'ian Waffle with coconut cream and bananas, scrambles, Acacia bowls and bagels. I ordered the Michael's Veggie Omelet with grilled mushrooms, asparagus, and onions with a side of chicken apple sausage; my son got this favorite Acacia bowl with bananas, strawberries, peanut butter and sprinkle of chocolate (I enjoyed a spoonful!---really great!"; his girlfriend ordered the Hawaiian Waffle and my wife ordered the everything bagel, eggs, avocado and what she couldn't finished our college age son wolfed it down! Such a lovely cafe in Waikiki! You order at the counter and find seating inside or out, then pick up your food at the counter when it's ready. The service is excellent and the staff are all so friendly. I shared the açaí bowl and wagyu loco moco. I enjoyed their açaí bowl and thought their loco moco was good but not great. They also have a plethora of other breakfast items that sounded delish, and it was getting pretty busy right around 8:30/9am. read more

Located in a small shopping plaza off Monsterat, you'll have to be patient for a parking spot to open up, but people are constantly leaving and coming. The cafe itself is at the far right end with inside dining and an outside patio area with some seating. Order at the counter and they will give you a buzzer when your food is ready. We got a lift to take us here from our hotel. For breakfast, there was very limited seating so you just have to watch for an empty table to become available. Keep in mind, they don't clean up the tables so you kinda have to do it yourself. You order in the front first, then get your food at your table. I ordered the Kahlúa pork and onion omelette with rice. You can choose seasoned potatoes, but I love Hawaiian white rice. The presentation of my plate was nice and clean. I really enjoyed each bite of my omelette and the rice. Great flavor. They have a condiment station with soy sauce and Sriracha, which is exactly what I needed for my plate. I also ordered a latte which was very good and even had a heart on top. My husband ordered the açai bowl and it was very fresh and was a very nice presentation. It was a perfect meal before we walked to diamond head. So if you're thinking about doing the hike you should definitely stop here. The Employee was very welcoming and personable too. Such a refreshing reward! * Parking: Storefront lot available, but stalls are limited and the spaces fill up quickly at peak hours! * Ambiance: The inside was small, but there's also outdoor seating available (some seats are directly under a tree so be careful of bird droppings!). I've been coming here for many years. It's has a great menu with tons of options. I almost always get a breakfast bagel Sandwhich, because it's affordable and delicious. The service is always top notch, very friendly and accommodating as well. It has enough seating inside and outside. Be careful outside under the tree, you may get extra cream in your coffee from perched birds. It adds to the fun. The açaí bowl is also worth getting, very fresh and enjoyable. I ordered a latte that was semi sweet but the serving size was huge. They have nice big 24oz cups of coffee, which is great for morning people! We shared the acai bowl and the loco moco. The loco moco was amazing. I loved the fried rice and the meat was soft and savory. The egg was only fried on the bottom, which I prefer the top being cooked as well. However, I liked the egg yolk and it blended well with the mean and rice. I also would have preferred no mushrooms. I also really enjoyed their homemade gravy. It was delicious. I remember coming to this place back super long ago. Coming back here was pretty nostalgic! The place was quite cozy and definitely SUPER CROWDED. There were a lot of Japanese tourists. Be warned, you may not get a table/seat depending on how crowded it is. And they don't get you seated, so you have to find a table or place the order then look for a place to sit down. I tried the mango pancake and French toast. I personally loved the mango pancake a lot more. It definitely has very chewy texture and the mango sauce wasn't really sweet. Surprisingly, their latte also tasted really good. A lot of cafes don't serve good coffee cuz their espresso machine, quality of beans are quite low, but their coffee actually tasted fantastic. After Diamond Head we stopped by Bogarts's Cafe. A YouTuber recommended it and I am so glad we went there. It's a tiny cafe with an even tinier parking lot. We got lucky and arrived as someone was leaving. The cafe is small but very clean and cozy. They do have a patio for dining as well. The service here was awesome. They make you feel like family here (so much Ohana, did I use that correctly lol). They were very accommodating and helpful. An authentic smile on everyone's face. Let's talk about the food! Mama's fried rice was hands down the favorite dish of my family. So flavorful and savory . Topped with Kayla pork was an added bonus. My son really enjoyed his burger. He said it was top 3 of all time in his book. I had the ribeye loco moco. It was delicious and the meat was very tender. The gravy was tasty and the egg was a perfect runny consistency. Lastly, my daughter had the Açaí bowl. Filled with fresh fruit and crunchy granola. That cold bowl was a great way to end a hike at Diamond Head. My cousin was kind enough to bring us breakfast this morning. The menu is very extensive so it's hard to decide since there are so many delicious-looking options. I'm always a sucker for an omelette and anything pesto so the pesto mushroom omelette with breakfast potatoes was calling my name. Taylor got a Portuguese sausage breakfast burrito which came with salsa and sour cream. We both demolished our meals. The omelette was firm but not hard, had a delicious pesto, mushroom and cheese filling but the star is always potatoes. They are my fave food and rightfully so as these were amazing! Aloha! I decided to have a morning breakfast with my little one at Bogart's Cafe. It's a cute, perfect spot to have breakfast with a friend or 3. We walked in and stood in line to place our order. The guy was friendly and looked happy to serve his customers. It's what I noticed from when he was helping the customer in front of me, with us and the customers after us. Everything is self service so you place your order, find a table and all condiments are on the side of the counter that's opened for you to use, and return for others too ;) Their table is set up with a nice little vase with fresh flowers. This is a nice add on. Flowers can brighten someone's day. It brightens our day. I got Bogart's Açaí. It's their organic açaí topped with strawberries, blueberries, bananas, organic granola and honey. My little one ordered the Dark Side Açaí bowl. It's organic açaí topped with strawberries, bananas, Ghirardelli chocolate, organic granola, cocoa nibs, chocolate chips, and Nutella. This is definitely a place to visit again and again. We loved Bogart's! In Diamond Head, Bogart's is a part of a strip of restaurants in the corner. There is a small parking lot with limited stalls in front so there might be a need to search for parking in the side streets across from that parking lot. The cafe itself has some tables inside and outside. There are not a whole lot of tables but a healthy amount. The people working there are kind and efficient. We ordered at the front and got the acai bowl, mama's fried rice, the Hawaiian waffle, and the ube latte. We liked everything and were very full after trying it all! The fried rice has a good amount of veggies and was still tasty. The waffle, acai, and drink were all sweet but not overwhelmingly so.
