My friend and I came to Pearlridge's village market which happens every Saturday night. Kealoha seafood is a truck towards the entry of the market. A lot of their dishes are deep fried, ranging from deep fried ahi to cheese burgers, but they have a focus on seafood (obviously by their name). We got the seared ahi plate with rice and shoyu ahi poke. This was INSANELY good. The ahi was more fried than seared, as there was a battered crust. The ahi was done to a medium, meaning that there were still a bit of raw ahi peaking through, which I LOVED and enjoyed a lot. The sauces (unagi and spicy mayo) drizzled on top was perfect and made every bite super flavorful. The shoyu ahu poke as a side was also a perfect pairing, it was soft and tasted fresh. Both my friend and I DEVORED this and enjoyed this a LOT. I would really recommend this specific item, but I'm sure their other dishes would be good too ( can't go wrong with fried). read more

Hawaii's transient food scene continues to surprise. This time, with well cooked, fresh fish, and flavor, creative sauce blends. It is not perfect but with some reengineering on your part... The ahi katsu, thick chunks of perfectly cooked (mid well) fresh ahi topped with a combo of yum yum and a spicy dynamite sauce, solid. The coating on the outside is much harder possibly from using a starch based slurry before rolling in panko then deep frying. It might not be for everyone. The mahi mahi tempura would be a failure if not for the absolutely perfectly cooked, fresh mahi mahi inside and how well it pairs to a sauce that seems to be a honey mustard miso aioli. Peel off the soggy coating and all is good. Plates come with an interesting mayo based potato / broccoli salad that matches the sauces better than the white rice. Portions are extremely generous and priced right, averaging $20. Local, friendly service. Follow on IG for popup locations around the Island. Looking forward to trying non deep fried dishes. Disappointing since it's got "Seafoods" in the name. Ended up getting the garlic shrimp and chicken plate. Seems like choke food, but it's mainly choke rice on the bottom and choke sauce on the top. Tasted okay, but can't really taste the shrimp or chicken with all that sauce. I ordered noodles...by itself. It is literally just noodles by itself. Some burnt onions. No taste. My coworkers and I went down to their food truck in front of Bankoh in downtown for lunch, but to actually get my food took more than 30 minutes. With only an hour lunch, it was frustrating to see people who ordered well after me get their food first. You would think my order was complicated, but it wasn't. I ordered the mahi mahi tempura with no alterations or add-ons. A simple plate they listed on their own menu. Thanks to how they prioritized the orders, I did not have time to eat my food at all. Wasted time and money here. I won't talk bad about how the food tasted as it had been sitting in the office AC for 5 hours before I was able to eat it, which would make anything taste junk. If you do order, go with the loco moco or the wings. Prepare a snack if you plan to order anything else. read more

#18 of 52 (weeks of trying a new restaurant at least once a week) This review is for a dish we had at the Poke Fest. Nothing had caught our eye yet until we walked by their food truck. I love when restaurants have a sample of what their food looks like. That let's me eat with my eyes first! Everything looked good but we settled on the fried musubi topped with spicy ahi poke. Food was ready in minutes and we found a place to sit and enjoy. I tasted the poke first and it was delicious. Very fresh, great flavor and texture. Was it spicy? No, not really but very good. The dish had 2 fried spam musubi's cut in half. I liked the crunch from them being fried but there was very little flavor. However when I topped each bite with a piece if poke that was the key. You needed the flavor and sweetness of the poke to go with the spam musubi. We ate it all and decided it was our favorite of the evening. We'll definitely frequent them again! read more

Discovered this food truck parked at the the bishop museums Science and sustainability fair and decided to try something new and it really was delicious. I ordered the deep fried smash cheeseburger with fries. The burger patties and cheese were breaded and then deep fried together so it's crispy on the outside instead of using soft bread and it's a wonderful texture and flavor. Ordered their Braddah Wings & Garlic Shrimp plate and it did not turn out anything at all like their example plate. The wings on their example plate looked like the crispy spicy wings you'd get from Safeway but the wings they gave me were not only BBQ wings(which I done care for) but they only gave me 2 wings masked in the shrimps garlic sauce. They tasted cold & chewy like they've been sitting out all day. So the plate was basically all garlic shrimp and fries with 2 sad BBQ wings. What's the point of even calling it Braddah wings plate? If they ran out of their standard wings, I wouldn't have been mad and would've appreciated their transparency-some sort of heads up so that I could possibly order a different dish from them. But, nope...not a single peep from them. The whole plate was $18. Not cool and NEVER ordering from them again. read more

Oh my gosh so yummy! I've seen them on Instagram but never had a chance to try this food truck until finding them at the Pearlridge Saturday Night Pop Up. I was excited! I love that they had a plate of each item to show what it would look like and it definitely looks like the picture. Took maybe 15 minutes, more like 10 to order and get my food. The line was steady and they were pumping out food just as quick. I opted for the Spicy Ahi Salad $20 and I would definitely order it again. Just enough greens and dressing with a nice scoop of spicy ahi poke and deep fried ahi musubi. Look forward to trying something else. read more

Wow, I did not expect that! Just wanted something small and went with the fries and sauce (better to eat with a fork) and holy cow! The fries alone even without the sauce were different and amazing! But the whole package was perfect for a light snack/lunch. We line up and order out food during the night of the Christmas parade 12/7/2024. total of 7 plates. after waiting we got our 4 plates and still waiting for the remaining 3. i didnt know what we were waiting till i ask my brother in law because we've been waiting like 20-30 mins and i saw other customers got there food ( they were way behind us the line earlier). My brother in law told me that the food we were waiting were 2 kids meal (fries and nuggets) and fish and chips. I was wondering why we were waiting for the 2 kids meal which were only fries and nuggets? they are easy to cook . Insane bang for buck. For 18 dollars, I bought the nacho poke dish, and there was a lot of poke compared to the nacho ratio. The shoyu ahi tuna is my favorite way poke was made ever. 10/10 will come again. I need an excuse to come to O'ahu again just for this food. read more

Wowzaaa, this place serves good food and giant portions! 10/10 service- the owner is so friendly, and he even gave us samples to help us decide what to order 10/10 food- we got the $20 two choice plate and went with da famous beef (super tender twice braised beef) and the special of the day, monchong katsu (fish was moist and batter was perfectly crispy). He also threw in a scoop of spicy ahi and let us choose a platter of sashimi, and the fish was so fresh!! 3 of us split all of it, and we were stuffed. Such good value for the price! The most flavorful food served by the kindest owner! We went to their food truck at the Tuesday Farmer Market at Henry Kaiser high school. We initially got their Surf & Turf (Shrimp, Da Beef, & Shoyu Poke) and IMMEDIATELY went back to order more food because it was so good. The shrimp especially was the best we've had. We went back for the poke nachos (half spicy, half shoyu), and the owner was so kind, he gave us sashimi on the house in honor of our honeymoon. He even made his first ever tuna burger for us to try and MAN it was SO GOOD. The house sauce they use is something else...it's so good, so creamy without being too heavy. We'd give this business 10 stars if we could. Definitely will be back again. We highly highly recommend! read more

Business had a booth at 808 Island Craft and Gift Fair at Japanese Cultural Center. Hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. His booty was outside building by street on Beretania. Chef Kea had 2 menus of food and photos of them. My order was ahi katsu and spicy ahi poke. He gave me braddasada which is fried donut with katsu batter with no filling. Got the worst bout of food poisoning I've ever had after eating the poké nachos. A shame I paid $20 for my plate.

Just visited the truck at the HGEA Grindz event. I ordered the $20 Surf & Turf (huge slices of pipikaula, garlic shrimp & ahi poke). It's a big, heavy plate that could easily feed two. It comes with rice and a warm furikake potato salad. Everything was Yum, but the shrimp were especially good. I ate it too fast to take a picture, but I would definitely order this again if I see the truck! read more

Really disappointing. Usually food trucks over season their food. Complete opposite here. Everything was really bland. The ahi katsu they did not add any salt to the fish, lots of batter, and then very little sauce. Even the poke they forgot to add salt. You really know they don't know how to cook when the rice comes out soggy. They give you large portion but felt like a waste of space in my belly. read more

Service great, staff friendly and quick! I really wanted to like this place because everything looked so good on their demo/display table. I ordered apple dessert, noods and shrimp, and garlic shrimp. So much breading on the shrimp and the apples. The ratios were 75% breading and 25% food. All dishes lacked flavor... like I said, I really wanted to like this place so this review does not come lightly as I see that there are many awesome reviews ahead of me. Tried their ahi katsu with spicy poke today at Kapolei's open market. I have to say it was outstanding. The fish was nice and crunchy on the outside, yet moist, tender and not overcooked on the inside. Just right...That drizzled sauce on top the fish gave it that extra zing. And the poke, amazing. It was fresh fish, not that red sprayed fish you get at most places. It so fresh it melted in my mouth. You have to give them a try. read more

Best food truck in terms of freshness, quality, taste and value! I had their ahi katsu, which came with spicy ahi poke (you get a choice), hot broccoli and potato salad, and rice - no cheap mac or veggie salad. They gave so much that you will have a difficult time finishing. I will have the seared ahi next time. It was crowded, but got my plate in less than 5 minutes as did most people. You can tell the freshness in that they sell ahi slabs and other items for $10 on the side, which is real cheap for the quality. I am old and have been to hundreds of food trucks or lunch wagons (before the mainland term was used) in my lifetime, and you get quality. read more
