These people are complete liars. They told me they were going to put a tree in my yard and do some work. They had one contract which I never signed. But we verbally agreed to do some work. They did a terrible job. Left drain whole like that in pictures. They put a $6.99 bush in its place. They also cut my WiFi and lied about it. No one on crew spoke English except superintendent. I told him that I was unhappy of there work. They cost me and my wife a days work since ATT couldn't get here to fix damage they caused. I talked to supervisor and he said I had to pay even though there was no contract. I said you made up the billing. One in the picture was one he did. The other was from there company. If you notice there was no tree for $1,100. First I called my attorney I never signed a contract with my wife. Secondly they forged my signature and third they are trying to scare someone. This is how this people are. Please find another landscaper. They lie and the little bit of work they done was poor quality. If you know the laws you must have a contract signed by both parties and they should also promise what they promised. Also they owe me for cutting my internet line. My wife was on phone with customer. I was talking to a judge in California because of my mother's death. They are nasty people and I have put some pictures to show you there work. I don't typically leave negative reviews as I truly value small business and its place in our local economy. However, I used Keane Landscaping for five years as a resident in Plano and was always very happy with their service. I am now a resident of McKinney with a rental property in Princeton and using three different service providers for my lawn and pest control on 2 residences is cumbersome. I have reached out to Keane Landscaping more than a handful of times via their website and leaving phone messages requesting a quote for services for over 5 weeks now. Despite my numerous attempts, I have not received any callback. My last voice message was clear that I'm a former client of five years and asked if someone would please let me know if they just simply do not service my area. Still, no callback. I don't know what business in our area has enough clients that they can't respond or return a call while still advertising they are providing quotes for service. If they're that busy, they should post on their website that they are not currently accepting new clients. If their owners are unaware that their staff is not calling back people that have been as diligent as myself, I'm hopeful this will get their attention. Again, their service was impeccable when I use them, which is the reason I've been so diligent on my end in trying to rehire their services. However, if they're not going to return a call, perhaps their management looks different these days and it's saving me switching my pest control and lawn care to a provider that won't respond to my needs as a customer. read more

Kevin Keane is very kind and his son did a beautiful (and free!) rendering of our landscaping. But the positives end there. We paid them over $10,000 to install all new sod and it's almost all dead just a year later with bumps and dips ALL over the yard. My neighbor watched them install and said they did a very subpar job prepping, which seems like the most important part. I would not recommend them. I can'trecall a better contracting experience than I had working with Maurice and his team. Our new front is as beautiful as we had hoped, the price was competitive and unlike other quotes the work was started almost immediately and finished in just a few days. My sense is that this is simply an honest and highly ethical family owned company. I had a terrible experience with Keane Landscaping. I hired them to do some hardscaping. The quality of work is subpar. There was no oversight or project manager on site to oversee what was going on. There was no project manager on site to supervise despite the outrageous price I was paying. The destroyed my brand new turf which was totally preventable had they been supervising their workers. They did end up replacing it after first trying to patch little pieces which was so obvious and not acceptable. They ended up replacing most of it but I have one quadrant that is noticeably lighter because they were being cheap. They destroyed my sprinkler system and left it half pulled out of the ground in one place. That still isn't fixed. They destroyed my sprinkler system and left it torn up above ground not even capped. Even the patio they did will never be as good as if it was done right the first time from a reputable company that would have sloped it correctly with a drain in the center like my boyfriend and I tried to tell them. I can't give this company a low enough rating. Especially here in Dallas with so many competitors, anyone else will be better. I've since heard the sons took this company over and are running it into the ground. Perhaps their father was a better businessman but as it is now I'd run from this company. Edit to add: while I didn't think this could get much worse, they failed to cap the sprinkler lines underneath the flagstone they installed so there is a terrible leak underneath it! This truly is damaging to my property and just another example of the poor oversight during the work, as well as, afterwards. read more

My wife and I hired Keane for tree trimming and some landscaping work last Summer. John, our salesman, promised a LOT that didn't end up happening. Through a combination of emails and calls, I contacted my salesman, my project manager, info@keanelandscaping.com (the only method of written communication provided on their website at the time), the maintenance director, and even a member of the Keane family over a period of many weeks to explain that a significant amount of work we agreed upon was never completed and a bunch of other stuff was done incorrectly. My formal complaints were not addressed by ANY of them! I didn't hear anything for months. This past week in January out of nowhere, I got a statement from Keane out of the blue showing a balance around $3500 and telling me I am over 90 days past due. Are you kidding me?! If anyone at Keane sees this review, I sent another email (and forwarded my previous complaints from last year to save you the time digging it up) this afternoon to Parker@keanelandscaping.com and info@keanelandscaping.com. I have used Keen landscaping a few different times. The first time was for tree services. I had a tree removed and one pruned. They did an excellent job at the removal. One crew came and took down the tree. The other came shortly there after and ground the stump. It was like the tree never existed. They were very professional and very timely. Also, I recently got a quote for some landscaping around my new pool. They did a wonderful job at picking plants that I envisioned based on my more green less tropical theme. The landscapers came and planted for most of the day. They created a bed so that my dirt would not erode into the alley. I am really happy with the outcome. We are an HOA with 177 homes and are remodeling our two entryways with Keane. It took three months to complete one of the two entrances and five months later they finally finished the second entrance. A pretty simple project with no hardscape just plants and river rock. The project has been riddled with blunders that rest on management. The flowers and plants for the entryway were delivered and planted at the wrong location. The river rock had been delivered three blocks away in the neighborhood next to ours. Mulch was unloaded on private property. Five months of excuses and broken assurances. DFW metroplex has a plethora of Landscaping companies and the need to settle for sub par performance can easily be avoided. Do your research. The finished project was adequate for our needs, but the journey to get there was disastrous. It should not take 5 months to finish a small project and get a power wash team out. read more

From a very dissatisfied customer: I hired Keane Landscaping to move a retaining wall. I was given a quote of $13k, signed a contract for the price, and then paid 50% upfront which totaled a little over $5800. When they came to do the job they realized they misquoted me and misunderstood what I was asking for and told me the work was going to cost $30k, not the $13k they originally quoted me. I said that was not ok so they said that it was fine and that they would refund me my down payment since they misunderstood what I asked for. Well, It has been 6 weeks since I paid them. No refund check has come in the mail like they said. My calls, emails, and text messages are not being returned. I'm not sure what I should do next? They have completely ghosted me. Do I go to the police and file a report? Call the BBB? I've never had a problem like this before. Please help. I don't know the proper legal action to take. I just want my money back. read more

Then they talked me into paying them to put in Winter Rye, but that still hasn't come up and they scalped my St. Augustine grass to do put the rye seed in. I contracted Keane this Summer to do an extensive Front and Backyard landscaping design for my home recently purchased. Had trees (Japanese Maple, Eastern Redbuds, etc), plants and bushes installed throughout the entire front and backyards. They removed some unwanted gardens, removed a tree stump from the tornado in October and re-stained my backyard fence. They design phase was smooth and easy. They made the necessary tweaks that my wife and i desired and the overall installation only took about 4 days total. Our project was rather sizeable and short of one plant needing to be replaced after about a week, which they handled with no questions asked and very promptly, the overall process was very smooth and well coordinated. Our yard looks AMAZING now and we routinely receive compliments from our neighbors. I would highly recommend Keane for any landscaping needs. read more

Beyond average. If you want an absolutely cookie cutter bare minimum company, they are a good fit. They are a giant machine, but have zero attention to detail or care about the individual customer. They talk a nice game, and it seems great - then you see the results in your landscaping and it's just weak. Had to fire them today unfortunately after meeting them at the house multiple times to go over where i wanted things improved. 1) Dead plants left for months 2) Mulch and dirt up against the foundation of the house 3) Trash in the beds. We ended up going ahead with Keane to do our project after we had called to cancel as alluded in my original review. We got a call from Chris who sent a crew to complete the project the very next day. We are totally impressed with Keane's quality work. The crew of 3 completed the project in 6 hours. A man name Hadon called me the next day and I described to him the job. he seemed enthusiastic and set an appointment the next. I went with the time and day he said was convenient for him and we proceeded to rearrange some other commitments and take time off work to be here. HE DID NOT SHOW! So unprofessional. Keep looking! The landscaping service is sub par and the customer service is essentially non exist. You call and email and no one ever responds. I finally cancelled my service (via an email which of course no one ever responded to) and then got an invoice for the following month. When I called to speak to someone about it, I was told "I'll get this in the right hands". I asked "does that mean someone will contact me?", to which she replied "I don't know, I just send out the invoices". Wow!! My 1st experience with Keane was summer of 2021 (after the big freeze in Feb). I was looking for a landscaping company to replace my frozen landscaping. I called and left a message on their machine. NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AT ALL. They missed out on a potential several $k project. My 2nd experience: Dec 2022, I was looking for a contractor to clean-up the fallen leaves in our yard, so I called Keane. First off, calling their number yields about a 33% chance of being answered by a human. Secondly, when you do reach a human, the answerer really can't help you but instead says they will forward your information to a project manager (PM) who will call you "today or tomorrow". FOUR DAYS LATER, PM Regan calls, I explain what I want, that my property is x-by-y feet in size and what's the lead time. Instead of giving me a fixed price and a schedule, Regan says he needs to come out, see the job and prepare a quote. Okay, I think, a good PM wants to see the entire scope of work before quoting; however... this is a leaf clean-up, not a construction project. Regan arrives, walks around the property, sits in his truck for 5 minutes and comes back to show me the quote. The quote is chocked full of options and very big numbers (for a leaf clean-up?). I tell Regan I'd review the quote and call him back the next day. After reviewing, I see that Regan has either missed the point or chosen to go with the oversell approach. Regan quoted me an ANNUAL CONTRACT for a "Complete Property Cleanup" that includes the leaf clean-up AND OTHER UNWANTED nor ASKED-FOR costly services like fertilize and herbicide! I call Regan the next day and told him I just want the leaves cleaned-up, one time, and nothing else. "Ooooh" says Regan, "well that will be about half the price." DUH! He says he'll email me an updated contract the next day. I NEVER HEARD FROM KEANE AGAIN! That was 2 weeks ago. I don't know what Keane's business model is, but I don't have to, because I'll never call those folks again. There are too many other fine straight-up contractors out there than to deal with the arrogance, ignorance and lack of customer service Keane Landscaping represents. read more
