Like Frank G.'s review below, I agree the food here is tasty but the customer service is absolutely abysmal. So bad that I still get angry thinking about it months later. I saw a Kebab Daddy coupon in one of the local mailers for $5-$10 off, I forget exactly. So I put in an online order for pickup and I drive about 5 miles to the restaurant. At the register I suddenly realize I left the coupon at home. I explain it to cashier and she asks me to describe the coupon and which magazine I found it in. So I describe it in detail. After I'm done, she tells me she can't give me the discount without the physical coupon present! Are you... kidding me??! After you ask me to DESCRIBE it to you? Mind you, it's not like there was a bar code or anything special on the coupon itself. By this time she must have known I was a local in the area, based on the mailer I described. I was shocked they would treat anyone this way. At this point I could see my order was ready for pick up. And $5-$10 really wasn't worth the hassle, but I am a man of principle! So I said in my final plea, "I guess I'll have to go home and come back with the coupon?" Girl didn't even blink an eye. So I drove all the way home and back, fuming the whole time. I storm back in and this guy who looked like he's charge (manager? owner?) looked really embarrassed. He quietly look my coupon without even looking at it and handed me my food. I'm sorry but you'd have to be from another planet to think this place is anything to write home about. The truth is none of the dishes are good enough to justify the 4+ rating, especially in this Glendale/Montrose area where similar eateries are a dime a dozen. Last night was our first and somewhat experimental visit (i.e. the two of us ordered half the menu to make sure we'd be able to judge fairly!) which set us back nearly $40. From that slightly strange name (seriously... Kebab Daddy? I see a potential eHarmony match with Taco Mama!) to the tricky location (tucked right behind Coffee Bean and difficult to access) to the amateurish signage (brand new signs that look washed out and faded already), and the uninviting interior décor (I don't actually have any additional comments for this part but wanted to keep things consistent!), I admit that I didn't go in with high hopes, and was sadly proven right. We ordered the beef luleh wrap, the kebab burger and the chicken and beef plates, which came with rice and salad. Here is what I liked from all of the above: the fries, the rice, the hummus. The rest was utterly pointless. So, hardly a resounding success I think... The luleh wrap was just meh: not juicy, not flavorful, just barely above the cardboard variety. Luleh is such a popular and readily available kebob that it needs to be something really amazing to truly stand out for me - and this was nowhere near adequate. When it came to the beef pieces, it's clear that they had used plenty of tenderizer, so that wasn't the issue, but the taste was sorely lacking. Chicken pieces were equally disappointing. In general their marinade desperately needs work. The kebab burger was an interesting concept and I did like the bun it came with, but the combination of the ingredients inside was questionable. There's a Greek style layer of yogurt mix that makes up the sauce for this burger. It is tangy and not a natural complement to the meat - basic mayo would have made more sense. Even hummus would have worked better. The yogurt was just throwing the entire balance. Doubt I will be back but if I somehow do, the only thing I'd be willing to try again could well be the burger, without the yogurt sauce. Everything else was a waste of time and money. Finally... I'll give credit where credit is due and state that customer service was very good, and they do have that cool drinks machine with the multiple flavors that's all the rage right now, hence the second star. read more

I got the daddy's famous lule plate and their walnut Baklava to go. It's a bit pricey.... the plate was $12 and baklava was $4 totaling close to $20 with tax. The plate was pretty good and the baklava wasn't too bad, but overall I give this place an a-ok rating because it was so expensive! read more

I came to Kebab Daddy due to my American friends like this place. I'm Armenian and have had MANY Armenian Kebabs in my life time and my mother was a chef, so I know a thing or two. I had there famous lulu plate with rice, veggie and salad. It wasn't good. They say they are quality but I really don't think this is the truth. The plate size was big I must say but the food isn't the best. They have spicy ketchup which was amazing. They have a coke machine which I LOVE. A million flavors to pick from. I think they need to step it up a bit in there choice of beef. I can drive 2 more miles to Glendale and enjoy a better meal, cheaper too but best quality. Service was good I must say. I tried the plate and the bowl with Daddy's Famous Lule and the All Beef Lule. Daddy's Famous Lulu has 80% certified Angus Beef and the All Beef Lule is 100% certified Angus Beef. To offer this brand, yelp discount/happy hour, and paleo/vegan options proves that this family business is passionate about accommodating to different customers with certain diets and also bringing to the customer high quality food for a reasonable price. We have moved to the area for a few months and were bummed we wouldn't have a kabob place like the one that was close to us when we were in Glendale. Thanks to yelp I stumbled across Kabob daddy. They are located right in the heart of montrose next to coffee bean. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Not the usual for middle Eastern cafes/bakeries. The food is delicious!! We have catered from them about 4 times by now and they always have great tasting kabobs, salads and sides. They are also very helpful to in helping you know how much to order. A few times we have gone in and said how many people we have and they will put some items together and it works out perfect! The restaurant is clean as well. We have not dined in but picked up and it always looks clean. Glad to have a new go to kabob restaurant near our new home ! read more

Kebab "Daddy"?!?! I'm Armenian and that IS a pretty bold statement. At first I was a little skeptical but I decided to stop by on my lunch since it is very close to my work and try them out. Man, they really lived up to their name! They really are the "Daddy's of Kebab." As I talked to the owner, I found out he was very knowledgable and passionate about getting fresh quality products (never frozen) to his customers. He stressed that it is imperative to having fresh, quality (Certified Angus) and hormone free products are the key to good tasty Kebab. Prior to opening Kebab Daddy, the owner had experience in the meat distribution industry and he took that knowledge and opened a restaurant to bring the best ingredients and meats to his customers. Now that I can appreciate. My order: The Chicken Lule and Chicken Shish bowl is my go to order. It comes with white basmati rice, a mix of green peppers and tomatoes (like a salsa), 2 skewers of Chicken Lule or 5-6 large pieces of Chicken Shish. If I am really hungry, I go for the plates. The bowl for me is perfect but for dinner I definitely go for the plates (which comes with Hummus and Rice). So far I haven't been disappointed with anything they have. I feel good after eating there because of the quality of products. Next time I am trying their Angus Beef! The Kitchen and Staff The most important thing for me is a clean kitchen. Whenever I look into the area where they are cooking, it is immaculate and clean. They are constantly cleaning. The staff is very sweet and helpful anytime I dine there. It is not a sit down restaurant, but the food is equal, if not better, than a sit down restaurant and they are fast (without sacrificing quality). Prices In my honest opinion, the prices are very standard if not less than most places I usually go for lunch. Wraps are about $7, bowls are $8, and plates from $11-12. $7 for a quality lunch!?! Are you serious?!?! McDonalds disgusting Big Mac Combo comes out to $6-7. Usually, I spend at least $11-13 on lunch without tipping. The owner thought their prices were a little higher than most lunch places, but he stressed that was because the product they are putting on the table is better than most and so the cost is higher for him. However, I completely disagreed and thought that his prices were more than reasonable. I honestly would pay more for what he is serving me. I have only one regret about this place- THAT I DIDNT EAT HERE SOONER!! I ordered delivery through the Eat24 app so I can't say much about the dining in experience, but the delivery was prompt even though I ordered during the dinner rush. Customer service was excellent - when I ordered rice as a side for my plate they called to inform me that it already came with rice. I liked the attention to detail. Lets talk about the food now. I ordered myself the Lule plate with rice, sweet potato fries and the house mix. I also ordered a Greek salad, which was nice and fresh and very tasty. The house mix looks like a salsa but has a different taste to it - very good taste. I ordered my fiancé the steak plate and had a taste of his - the steak was tender and juicy. My lule was seasoned well and very tender, just the way I like it. I love Persian and Armenian food and have had the delightful opportunity to eat both home cooking and at restaurant and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. But the most amazing thing I ordered was the side of Garlic Lebni. It. Was. Delicious. It's like a yogurt garlic dipping sauce of wonderful amazingness. The food is so delicious and they have a variety of choices to choose from plus their portions are HUGE. Personally i go with the Kebob plate which comes with hummus and house salad (I always upgrade to the greek salad because its literally to die for) More importantly the staff here is so friendly yet professional at the same time. I only had the plate and it came with salad, rice, 4 big pieces of pork, hummus (your choice of a side), and a little bit of salsa spread. The salad was my favorite and the rice, hummus and spread were good. The pork was a little rough and a tad bit on the salty side. The place was nice and clean and service was friendly.
