It's a take out or dine in restaurant, nothing fancy. They charged $10.00 extra for lamb. When I checked my bill i noticed they charged me more for using a credit card. Bad bad bad. I could have paid cash, but it wasn't mentioned nor did it state on the CC machine. You should be disclosing this to your customers. Found this little gem by a random Mediterranean craving when I was in the area and I'm so glad I did. I got the chicken breast (white meat) plate with hummus and 10/10. Staff were nice and helpful in suggestions, parking lot is incredibly tight, prices were kindddddddd of pricey though. My plate was ~$27 but I would certainly pay it again just to have this plate. It's enough protein and carbs and makes for 2 meals at least. I wasn't the biggest fan of the lavash bread but definitely not a deal breaker. This place almost gives like an old school diner vibe. An overall good first experience here, with a few critiques. Pros: + Plenty of parking in the Ocean View Plaza lot just south of the restaurant, at dinner time at least. There are lots of scary signs about towing so it's possible parking is crunched during the day. + Hummus was excellent and fresh. + Fries were piping hot with good seasoning and crispness. + Lule wrap was very juicy and flavorful especially with the garlic lebni yogurt spread, however if you bite it wrong it will squirt all over your clothes. + I like the greek salad, as it includes all the good stuff (tomato, cucumber, feta, onion, olive) without lettuce. + Friendly staff. + Clean restaurant. + There are frozen meats and pre-marinated kebabs to take home and grill, a nice touch. Cons: - Staff were not immediately familiar with ingredients for allergy purposes, and didn't seem to know where or how to look it up. - Prices are a little higher than I would like. A plate is creeping up to near $20 with tax. - Some unusual drink options. There are lots of canned/bottled drinks and a giant ice machine, but the only fountain drink is a mango juice of some sort. - For the price, I expected more meat. A chicken breast plate has five small chicken pieces; their competitors seem to include more meat for the price. - The printed menu on the ceiling is lacking a lot of the food items on their website, i.e. grape leaves, ikra (eggplant salad), and others, as if they added menu items but forgot to update the physical visual menu inside the restaurant. Overall, this feels like a catering/takeout business that just happens to have a few small tables inside for incidental dine-in customers, but eating in definitely does not appear to be the core business. The best Mediterranean food in the area. Every time I'm craving kebabs definitely think of this spot and more then often I end up coming here. I've been coming here for a few years now and the quality is always the same. The food is always fresh. I usually order the beef and chicken lule combo which comes with two sides and rice. I usually get the salad and the garlic Lebni (which is great!). The combo plate is definitely filling and a healthy option. The service is great. Food poisoning: Very friendly and fast service and the soup was piping hot but it had only one dimension of just straight ahead over cooked, bland salty acidic tang; no depth. With lentil soup one hopes for a medley, a profusion with sweetness of onions and some character, vegetable stock with other vegetables but it was unfortunately below average. The peppy drum machine dance music: Gaga, Lipa was out of place. The surgical lighting, primary blue walls and flatscreens made for my least favorite environment. A stone appeared near my final mouthful: for which I was offered an instant refund. For this professionalism; I will return. Now: 4 hours on I have had a rumbling stomach and GI; yes as of this following morning I can say it's definitely food poisoning. I told him he should make better soup using the above recipe; that the soup tastes reheated from the night before which he said I was wrong about; I said I was glad I am wrong. I had told him to read this review he said he would not, and then hung up on me. They don't give you much, including sauces and peppers. You want cucumber sauce, that will cost you extra. You want a tomato, that's extra too. I couldn't be happier about Lamb Shish Kebab plate I got there. First of all, it's lamb, and lamb is the most flavorful meat out there, I wish there were more places in this country that serve lamb and it wouldn't be all about beef here. Second, that lamb was cooked perfectly, like really really good. Third, the rice was amazing. In many Mediterranean places they don't really care about the quality of rice and how it's cooked, here it was not just a filler but it actually was delicious till the very last grain. They were amazing! They had a beautiful seasoning, and were incredibly tender! I would definitely order those again and again and again. I order a chicken shish and they don't tell us that they ran out of dark meat and just give us what we didn't order. This is the second time this has happened. I make a phone call and tell them what I noticed and they say we can't refund you the money but Hello! I never asked for a refund.
