Best hidden gem in Santa Ana. I really love the food and they give generous servings. The owner and cashier were very nice and asked us about how the food was. I am looking forward to trying more foods. Lastly, place was very clean and well themed to Afghan culture.

Fantastic delicious Afghan food!!!! Every bite was wonderful! The staff is friendly and attentive. Really the environment is so comfortable you feel like you are in the home of an Afghan family with home cooking. The food is that good! I highly recommend Kebob Kurry if you are wanting to try something new and feel adventurous! (or just enjoy middle eastern food)

Overpriced, bland, soggy, stale, not authentic. I have had lamb biryani before and this was not it. Do not recommend this place to anyone.

Loved the food here! The mantoo is incredible. It's hard to find places with mantoo so I'm glad there is one in such a great location. The lamb platter was really good too. It comes with bread, fries, salad, hummus, and tzatziki. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork and traditional dresses. The service is incredible too. Everyone who works here is so nice. I also really appreciate how clean their cutlery was! It was practically sparkling.

I've been here a couple of times now, and each time I've enjoyed my selections. The staff is nice and helpful, but I think this last time they forgot about my order. They told me 20 minutes on the phone, and when I came in the man didn't know about my order and they started working on it. It took another 20 minutes for my order to be ready. The flavors are great, and it's nice to have a Afghani food as an option.

We found this place after heading to get tacos but the nearby restaurant was too loud for us. This place is oozing with personality, very cozy and well decorated. The service was fast and polite. The food was delicious. This place offers Mediterranean and Indian fusion, we had the chicken tikka masala and it was excellent, but hadn't tried any Mediterranean food, though most of the people there were ordering Mediterranean food and it looked great too. You know how you can tell if a Chinese restaurant is good based on how many Chinese people eat there? Yeah, it's the same here, this place is clearly popular with the locals. Next time I intend to order the kebab plate because that looked delicious and much more varied compared to the tikka masala.

This place rocks! I ordered one of their three vegetarian bolani dishes. (Bolani=stuffed flatbread). Their menu offered squash, leek, and potato, and I got squash. It was plated so prettily, in addition to being filling and yummy. The staff are kind (and so very beautiful!!) and the interior is laid out well. Excited to come back in the future!

I saw this restaurant on a story by Rachel Brown on Eyewitness News. I stopped here for lunch and lucky for us the owner was there. He was very nice and explained every dish. I had the Shishlik Kebab. It's a meat of your choice mixed with broccoli, onions, and shredded carrots. I got it with lamb served spicy. You can order it without spice. Traditionally you're not supposed to eat it spicy. It was the most delicious lamb I've ever had. It was cooked well done and was very tender and flavorful. I practically licked the plate. The restaurant is an Afghan decor and has outdoor seating. It's in a shopping center so it's a great lunch spot or a place you would like to order at the counter and grab a seat.

Everything was delicious but the ground beef dish had too many large coriander seeds in it. It is apparently the way it suppose to be, but personally - it was overwhelming. Portions were large and it was still all very yummy.

Forgive me. I'm looking for an afghan dish composed of rice, shredded carrots, slivered almonds, and raisins. I do not know what it is called. It sometimes has small bits of chicken in it. Is this something you make?

The dish is called Qabuli pulao, they do have it and serve it with lamb shank

Something that I cannot make, something that I've tried, yet the establishment still finds a way to give me a different and enjoyable experience. Boneless Chicken and Beef Koobideh Combo: One of the most dangerous things to order, as both things can either come out as dry, or start off as great, then dry up before you can finish. None of those scenarios happened here. The chicken was soft, juicy, seasoned very well, and it stayed that way. The beef koobideh had this smoky flavor profile, which is different from what I normally expect, and I liked it. Potato Boloni: I've never had boloni in my life, and the closest comparison I have is a Chinese or Korean pancake. The boloni had areas of spiciness, and I think it had room to go higher. It's definitely an appetizer, and I won't mind having it again. Service: There were only 2-3 occupied tables when we went. I think the staff had plenty of time to take our orders, give us water, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. Ambiance: You could tell that the restaurant was designed to host wedding receptions or larger parties in mind. Stage, lights, and a bunch of stuff that may be overwhelming for some. I didn't mind. Good food is all that matters.

It had caught my attention before, but we were usually there early in the morning before it opened. Last week, I finally had the chance to try it. While my brother waited in the Chick-fil-A drive-thru, I walked over to give it a shot. I generally prefer sit-down restaurants over fast food, and since I had never tried Afghan cuisine before, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to experience something new. Although I ordered my food to go, I found the restaurant to be small but very welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Ordering was easy thanks to both traditional menus and a digital screen displaying photos, descriptions, and prices of the dishes. For someone unfamiliar with Afghan food, that made a big difference, and the staff was great at making recommendations as well. I ordered two dishes--unfortunately, I can't remember their names--but both were absolutely delicious. I also tried a Salam Cola and another traditional drink that seemed to contain yogurt and herbs. I'll be honest: that drink was a little too strong for my taste, and I couldn't finish it. But that's part of trying something new! Overall, the food was excellent, the service was warm, and I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone. I would definitely come back, and next time I'd stay and enjoy my meal at the restaurant instead of taking it to go. It's the kind of place that deserves to be experienced properly. I'd also encourage others to give new cuisines a chance--you never know what hidden gem you might discover.
