Came on a Monday night and the parking lot was busy since it's shared with a mall and round 1 but there was no wait I was seated immediately. Service here is very nice and fast. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is steady busy inside but not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their restroom was spacious and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu is quite vast but u went with recommend items from Yelp. I got the chicken pesto panini with Caesar salad and meat lovers entree with basmati rice and avocado salad. The panini came out fresh and hot bread was perfectly crispy and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Caesar salad was delicious and tossed in the perfect amount of dressing. The meat lovers entree was also good the chicken skewer was my favorite and stole the show juicy and flavorful. The koobideh kabob was just okay not that good or flavorful. I would not get it again I didn't love the dressing on the avocado salad either didn't tastes like anything but sour oil needed flavor. I got a side of pita just the bread and ate it with the chicken skewers it was great! Overall I would come back and looking forward to it only going to order the chicken skewers, Caesar salad, and chicken pesto panini next time though.

First time coming here in quite a while and it's just as good as I remember. The portion sizes are huge and the food is amazing! I usually get the chicken, salmon, or lamb shish kabob entree and it comes with rice, salad, and grilled veggies. I feel like a lot of people in my circle wouldn't think to come here but I'll definitely be recommending it more to my friends. It's also located in the Mainplace Mall so you can take a little stroll to digest afterward!

Time and time again, this place constantly messes up my online order. From forgetting the protein for my plate or to just forgetting a salad. Having me drive back to this location and use even more gas. It's extremely inconvenient. I spoke to the assistant manager once because they hadn't refunded my order. It took them 3 weeks to give me back my money. The assistant manager was giving me attitude initially when I wanted to refund my order and hung up the phone before I could ask when my money would be back into my account. Extremely rude. It wasn't until another manager called me to address the issue. Very disorganized and quality control tends to be an issue at this location. Update: management called me to suggest that I request management to revise my order when I arrive. It was backhanded comment as if to say "you need to make sure we do our job."

The food here is awesome and I truly wish I could give it more stars, but the service was so bad. I started with the appetizer combo which included the caprese, falafel, tzatziki, and hummus. The hummus was delicious and is a definite must try- especially to pair with an entrée. I enjoyed the quantity and quality of the appetizer combo, and I could really taste the home-made ingredients. I also ordered the Chicken kabob which was juicy and well seasoned. The basmati rice was a chefs kiss and I liked the flavor that it had. My partner also ordered Chicken Linguine and the pasta was fresh! Just a heads up it does come with a bit of oil/water at the bottom of the pasta bowl so just keep that in mind. I loved the food as it came out fast and hot! The service is what keeps me from giving this place more stars. I was given a 10 minute-Ish wait time when there was a ton of open seating (which is not a huge deal breaker), but once I sat, the service started to go downhill. There was a 10-minute delay before anyone approached the table and when they did it was a runner who just got our drinks. The runner mentioned that our server would be with us in a couple minutes since it was busy. We got our drinks, but waited another 15 minutes to place the order since the server never came and the runner also ended up taking our order. It wasn't until another 15 minutes after receiving our food did our server approach us, which was already about 40 minutes of being inside the restaurant. I also want to note the server didn't apologize for the lack of service. Total time in the restaurant was almost 1.5 hours - majority of the time waiting either to get our order taken or for the check. Great food, but service needs a step up. I will still order from here, but take out only.

Chicken kebab with Mediterranean salad and basmati rice

This restaurant is part of the Main Place mall in Santa Ana, behind the Discovery Cube. I recommend you use Google maps to lead you directly to the restaurant, and to park next to it. Finding the restaurant from inside of the mall is more circuitous and challenging, because you have to walk through a massive arcade to get there. Anyway, my friend and her mom arrived before me, and got a nice little table inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]High ceilings with ceiling fans, and lights that are bright enough, but not glaring, as well as plenty of natural lighting from the large windows, made for a very welcoming atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The walls are covered in paintings, many of which have signs referring to parts of Italy, but the food is more Persian style, but maybe a little fusion.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Diego, our server, was very attentive and helpful I ordered the chicken kebab with Mediterranean salad, and basmati rice. I also ordered the iced tea, which is a very light and refreshing ginger peach flavor, with a wedge of lemon in it. The food came out within about 20 minutes, and it was a generous portion. I had enough leftovers to pack for lunch tomorrow, so that is happy making. My salad and rice were both delicious. The grilled onions were perfectly charred. Though my chicken was well seasoned, it was unfortunately slightly overcooked.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think there was Christmas music playing in the background, top 40 style, but not so loud that we couldn't enjoy conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was my first experience of Panini kebab Grill. I think next time, I will try a different protein. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think on a warmer day, the patio seating would be very pleasant![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken kabob and beef shish kabob

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a chill laidback vibe, nothing fancy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The portions here are MASSIVE!!! Like enough for 2 meals per plate so it's definitely worth it for the price and quantity. We got the chicken kabob ($18.99) with the avocado cucumber salad and the beef shish kabob ($19.99) with the Mediterranean salad, both with basmati rice. Both also came with roasted veggies which was amazing!! The chicken was super moist and had a nice char flavor. The avocado cucumber salad was just the right amount of sourness and the rice was pretty standard. Wish they had a garlic sauce though!! The beef shish kabob was really flavorful and had a nice texture. The Mediterranean salad was a little overdressed and the rice was standard. I liked the yogurt sauce that came with it and wasn't too tangy! Overall, am definitely coming back - it's a great place to grab dinner and hits the Mediterranean crave everytime! We even had some leftovers and couldn't believe how big the plates were. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's parking and a good amount of outdoor & patio seating, good for large groups and family meals as well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken Caesar Wrap with Pasta Salad
    Michelle N.

I've been addicted to finding the best chicken caesar wrap so knowing this place had one was exciting! I got the Chicken Caesar Wrap with Pasta Salad. The wrap was pretty small. I think it could've used more salad/chicken in there because I finished it in a couple of bites. It was delicious though, and definitely had me wanting more. The pasta salad was satisfying on the side to balance out the taste.

Panini Kabob Grill had some really great food overall. Everything we ordered was very delicious, fresh, and flavorful. The standout for me was definitely the tzatziki -- it tasted super fresh and honestly might have been one of the best parts of the meal. You can tell the kitchen puts care into the food quality. That being said, the service side unfortunately took away from the experience a bit. The servers seemed visibly frustrated or overwhelmed, and it started to bleed into how they interacted with customers. The attitude and lack of warmth made the atmosphere feel a little uncomfortable at times. The food was strong enough that I'd still come back, but I hope the customer service experience improves because the restaurant itself has a lot of potential.

    Turkey Avocado Panini

First time here and it was great! I came on a Wednesday and there was no wait and parking was not too hard to find. I ordered the avocado panini which was delicious, I love a good lentil soup! My friend ordered one of their kabob dishes and I was quite surprised with how large the portions were! I'd say you definitely get a bang for your buck! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great lunch spot as they have both indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And the service is top notch as well!

    Tiffany T.

Service is slow, so don't be in a hurry. I've come to this place so many times and the chicken kabob plate is my favorite. However, the last two times the chicken had been a little dry and they are giving less bell peppers and tomatoes with the meal. I still recommend you give them a try, but come early and expect to be there a long time.

    Beef Koobideh Kabob plate
    Victoria G.

Delicious spot to satisfy your Mediterranean cuisine cravings! Ordered the chicken kabob and beef koobideh plate. Both were great choices with generous portions (basmati rice is a must) and the meat was flavorful and juicy. Next time, I would get the caesar salad over the mediterranean salad because it was absolutely soaked in dressing. Good service overall and our food arrived fairly quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating indoor or outdoor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The patio seating has an intense orange/red light, so the picture of my meal doesn't look appetizing..but my tummy was surely satisfied.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're at Round 1, or browsing the mall, stop by here for a quality lunch or dinner!

I am probably Panini Kabob Grills biggest fan. I am absolutely obsessed with their pesto chicken sandwich. It is elite. You can either get it with a soup or salad and I typically get the lentil soup. My friend ordered the chicken kabob plate which comes with rice and a salad. I typically order to go but this day we decided to eat in and have dinner. The service was lovely and it was not too busy. We also ordered Tiramisu for dessert and it did not dissapoint. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a delicious, affordable meal. Their options are great and there is a good variety. I will definitely be coming back.

Second time here and it didn't disappoint. I brought my family this time and they enjoyed the food, especially my husband! He can't wait to come back! The portions are generous. I was glad I shared with my hubby. Both the beef and chicken were tender and yummy, full of flavor! Great place for large gatherings and easy parking. It's located outside the Main Place Mall. Lots of tables inside and some outdoor seating. Our server was prompt.

Falafel Wrap with my choice of the chicken soup as a side.

Ask the Community - Panini Kabob Grill

    Where is the catering menu?

Hello Norma, Thank you for reaching out to us! Please kindly check out our website…

Are there options that are keto friendly?

Definitely! You can go double salad on any entree. When i was full keto i would do 2 skewers of Koobideh (ground beef and lamb) kabob and double Mediterranean salad and dump olive oil and squeeze a little lemon on it. 🔥

Do you have catering? If yes how much for 150 people?

Hello Alma, thanks for reaching out to us! We do offer catering, which you can either conveniently order yourself on our website www.PaniniKabobGrill.com. Our catering menu (also found on our website) will also inform you of how many people each…

Why is this location not accepting cash? There is nothing on Yelp or the website stating that. We ordered over the phone to pick up on 02/21/2021 and no one informed at the time of the order either. That's the least you could do.

Do you have a unit number?

Does the restaurant serve halal food?

Hello! Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately at this time, we do not serve halal food. However our proteins are sourced from reputable vendors at the top of the restaurant industry such as ABF chicken from Mary's Chicken and Wayne Farms,…

Is there butter in the basmati rice?

Yes. That would be the yellow on top and greasy film left on the plate.

    Is your restaurant dog friendly?

    Is your restaurant dog friendly?

Are the tofu kabobs and basmati rice vegan?

Yes and OH SO DELICIOUS! One of the best tofu dishes I've ever had!

    Do they cater?

Yes, and they do a great job.

    Do they serve Halal meat?

    Better😁

    Do they have BOTTOMLESS Mimosas?

No, it's 2.95 per glass only...

Do they take reservations for big parties on weekends?

    Yes

    Breakfast menu ?u?

    No, haven't seen that option

The fried chicken skin is always crispy and comes with a side of sweet chili sauce. Cucumber salad is really refreshing and I love the light vinaigrette dressing they use. Corn cheese is also a must, the corn is super sweet, pairs really well with a side of rice. They also give you a free side of peanuts upon seating! I order a lot of different skewers but my favorite ones are the lamb, beef, chicken gizzard, beef tongue, pork belly, and bacon enoki. Their skewers all come well seasoned and if you need more, their plates come with a side of cumin and chili pepper seasonings. The ambience of the restaurant is dim lit, busy, filled with music and several tvs. I love that they're open super late so it's a perfect place for late night dinners, catch up with friends or small groups. Their service is always on point; they're really fast, friendly, and nice! They generally help you place the skewers on the grill and come back to check until they're done. There's been a couple times where they noticed our skewers looked off and they even helped us replace them every time. The waiters also check in on us a lot despite how busy it gets, so I definitely appreciate their service! Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're into skewers. They come in four or ten sticks. I would suggest going for the 10 sticks each. The marinade on the meat is delicious. I can order a bowl of rice and these meats and I'll know my dinner with be great. There are also tons of other options but another dish I really like here is the signature meatball and vermicelli soup. This soup is big and can be shared with a group. The service is good. We ended up at Naan and Kebab, a very casual Persian restaurant. For a place in Tustin and a restaurant that I would honestly describe as pretty average overall, this is the kind of spot that fits the bill if you're just looking for something quick and simple. This is definitely not a Raffi's Place in Glendale or one of those higher-end Persian restaurants where you go expecting a full dining experience. But with that said, it's still okay. If you're just trying to grab something to go and want a decent taste of Persian food without too many expectations, this place isn't too bad. We tried their koobideh kebabs, and those were actually pretty solid. The chicken, on the other hand, was probably around a two-plus star level--nothing particularly memorable. So overall, if you're in the mood for koobideh specifically, this is not a bad option to consider. I'll still give them four stars, mainly because the koobideh was enjoyable enough and the experience, while simple, was acceptable for what it is.

But let me tell you this food was delicious! You can tell the food was made and plates prepared with love and intention. I came with a coworker for lunch, her suggestion and my first time here. She was telling me she came for her favorite rice, the cherry rice. I had never heard of it, but upgraded my order to cherry rice (didn't see it on the menu as cherry rice, may have a specific name I'm not aware of, but I ordered it fine saying cherry rice). I ordered the lunch special, for 18.99 came with chicken kabob and beef, a tomato, and of course the cherry rice. That rice was so delicious and unlike any other type of rice I have ever tasted. It was slightly sweet, and had warm cooked cherries scattered within. SO GOOD!!! Additionally it came with a tray of warm flat bread with butter, a beautiful starter salad, with a simple dressing of oil, lemon, and mint. This was also a unique flavor to my taste buds, but so good! If you like lemon you will love it. The flavors of the entire meal all complimented each other beautifully. If you are in the Tustin area and enjoy Persian food, give this small business a try. Hopefully you will leave like we did, pleasantly satisfied, and planning another lunch date there soon.

On the combo plate, the chicken stood out: juicy and tender. The beef seemed to be a leaner cut and was a bit dry. I'd probably skip this particular beef kebab next time and try a different one. The saffron rice and grilled tomato were a nice complement. The plate also came with jumbo naan, served warm and smelling amazing, definitely a highlight.
