There is indoor seating and outdoor seating. They also have a clean bathroom. We ordered half chicken with the spicy lemon, garlic sauce, falafel, spicy hummus, and pita bread and vegetables. Everything was spectacular! The food was brought out to our table, hot, fresh and delicious. This place was already getting five stars, but if I can give them another star, I would. A manager or another employee came to our table and asked us how our food was and how we were doing. She was genuine, friendly, and not overbearing. I saw that she did this as she walked the floor. You don't get this kind of service anymore. We also were picking up our plates to tidy up after ourselves, and an employee came rushing to us to tell us that she would take care of it. Chicken Maison is, dare I say, the best mediterranean spot in OC. There, I said it! We got the whole lemon basil chicken combo, with hummus and tabouli for our sides. Their sides are huge portions. We also got the gyro plate with potato salad and more hummus. They also give u pita bread. Let me tell you, everything was so fresh and delicious. Both of the meats were far from dry and had so much flavor. They have the best hummus that pairs perfectly with everything. If we look at the first aspect in this case, the chicken here at Chicken Maison situates itself in a big parking lot with a big atrium of a restaurant with plenty of seating and even all the utensils, drinks and sides at your disposal. Let alone a very mediterranean decor set up. ‍‍ Now there's only one place to get said chicken from right? The front counter, who graciously asked us how my day was and even asked if it was my first time. Gleefully discovering that it was my first day as such. From then, every part of the menu explained, every aspect including seasoning and what would go best with it. Keep in mind that this level of service is going with average level pricing for chicken. You won't find that at a lot of places especially given how chicken can be plainly sold time to time. Given the portions, I'd say price-wise for other items and the chicken itself, isn't disappointing. Speaking of chicken, this where I was guided to have the Lemon Garlic Spicy Whole Chicken paired with kale salad and the coleslaw they make in house. Now the chicken itself, to my surprise wasn't just mainly savory but that lemon spice taste is there. It's the first thing to welcome you upon your first bite actually. This location is in Santa Ana near South Coast Plaza with indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered at the counter and they gave us a number. We then found a table and they brought our food to us. To start, they provided complimentary pita bread to eat with hummus. We ordered the 1/2 chicken with lemon garlic spicy ($17.90) and the gyro plate ($17.90). The chicken was juicy, tender, and the sauce was flavorful. It wasn't super spicy as I thought even some of the sides were spicier. The gyro meat was good and I liked mixing it with the tzatziki sauce. For our sides we had the hummus, spicy hummus, cole slaw, and spicy potato salad. They were all good but my favorites were the spicy hummus and spicy potato salad. I preferred the spicy hummus over the regular hummus and the spicy potato salad was very refreshing. The rice was fluffy, soft and had great flavors. I don think I would try anything else besides the Rotisserie Chicken here even though they have other items like Gyro. The sauce had a thicker texture like hummus and a mellow garlic flavor, maybe that's an unfair comparison to Toum. My boyfriend had the kafta plate with spicy slaw and falafel. I enjoyed the kafta more because of the seasoning. Also, this location is extremely busy, especially on a Saturday afternoon. We received our pita bread a little later. First of all, the 1/4 chicken plate comes with plenty of food. Out of the two flavors we chose, my favorite was the spicy lemon garlic. It was so flavorful, lemony, and just absolutely delicious. I personally didn't think it was very spicy. The lemon basil flavor was also really good, but you can definitely taste mostly basil as the main ingredient. The chicken is so tender and juicy. Not dry at all. Next time, I would like to try the Maison original flavor. The sides are also so yummy. I remember years ago, they would just give you the Maison white rice with raisins, but now they have the option of Maison brown rice. I loved it! I'm usually not a huge fan of raisins in my food, but the raisins add a nice sweetness to the rice and I don't mind them at all. I really recommend getting the hummus as well. It's just a classic hummus which goes well with the chicken and pita. The spicy potato salad was good, although not my favorite. I love that the meals came with a side of their white sauce and pita bread. I'm not sure exactly what they put in their white sauce, but it is amazing. The restaurant is very spacious and clean. Ordered Chicken Maison through DoorDash after hearing a lot of good things about it, so I went in with fairly high expectations. Overall, it was... fine. Passable, but nothing that really stood out. I ordered the lemon basil double white rotisserie chicken with hummus and steamed vegetables. The chicken itself was middle of the road. There was a ton of oil and garlic, but surprisingly not much basil coming through. Rotisserie chicken is one of those foods that's usually decent even when it isn't great, and that's pretty much where this landed: perfectly edible, but nothing memorable. The steamed vegetables were exactly what they sound like. To be fair, ordering steamed vegetables is already a bit of a masochistic choice on my part. The only steamed vegetables I've ever actually been impressed by are somehow from Panda Express, which probably tells you something about my expectations going in. The hummus was better than the typical supermarket version, but still nothing particularly impressive. Solid, but not something I'd go out of my way for. The pita was that dry, mealy kind of pita you often get from restaurants that clearly aren't putting any effort into it. At that point it almost feels like, why bother including it at all?
