He did nothing to help my sister. She and my parents had come home from a trip to find the keypad to the garage did not work. They could not get into the house. They did not have a key to the front door, which was bolted from the inside. The locksmith came out within 30 minutes of us calling the company. The woman I spoke to who took the call was lovely and helpful. The locksmith however, not so much. He was happy to charge my sister $100.00 and do nothing to troubleshoot the problem. Luckily, my elderly parents and sister were able to spend the night with family and call out a locksmith who actually helped them and got them back in the house the next morning. I recently purchased and moved into an older Tudor home in Pasadena. I did what any good home owner would do which was to change my front door lock. I did not realize how difficult this task would be. I had a terrible experience with the first locksmith on yelp. He came to assess the problem and essentially left me hanging telling me he couldn't fix it while still charging me a service fee for coming out. Horrified. I was hesitant to look for another locksmith on yelp. Reluctantly, I reached out to Oron (Johnny). I AM SO HAPPY that I DID. Oron went above and beyond with fixing my mortise lock. These locks are incredibly hard to repair or replace. Unlike my last locksmith who left me hanging, Oron took on the challenge by replacing it with a brand new lock mechanism and giving me a brand new door knob (which I didn't even ask for). Today is Thanksgiving so it's the perfect day to express gratitude. After kicking off the holiday last night with happy hour and friends, to my dismay I realized when I got home that I misplaced my house keys. I didn't know what to do so I turned to my go to...Yelp! Had just come home from the airport and misplaced my house keys. I requested a quote and was told "starts at $95 for labor" to unlock the top lock only. They came after 1 hour, looked at the door and then said $250. Haggled down to $150 because $95 to $250 is outrageous. I've called a locksmith for this door once before and they were able to do it in under 1 minute. Sadly they were unavailable. Keep calm took 20 minutes and ended up destroying my lock.
