    Vegas roll

The service was quick and friendly! We walked right in, and got sat down right away. The waitress was friendly enough to explain a few things and off we went to order! The food came out, and we loved it. Felt like a family restaurant and such BIG portions too.

We were on the hunt for some good ol sushi for a late late late lunch, this place popped up, and so we decided to try it out. We walked in and we were the only ones there. It was 3pm, Thursday, and it was very quiet. As soon as we entered, the friendly waitress told us to pick a table and she let us know that she would be right on over. The waitress took our drink orders and brought them out right away. We looked over the menu and there are other dishes as well besides sushi. We decided on getting one Vegas roll, a California roll, an order of gyozas, and a miso soup. The gyozas were delicious and we could definitely taste that they were freshly made. We did see an employee sitting down and making them by hand. The miso soup was pretty good and so was the California roll. The Vegas roll is huge (enough to share) and and it comes in a big plate. The Vegas roll didn't cut it for me since all I could taste was the overpowering flavor of the cucumber. The Vegas roll is a no for me here. Service was great!

    Bento Combo

The bento box combo was delicious. Everything was fresh and great quality. Customer service was great. It was pretty empty during lunch time but I saw a few to go orders. I would definitely recommend. Price is decent a

Delicious fried sushi and tuna nigiri. We also got some crab rangoons but only had one left in this picture lol

Delicious and BIG sushi pieces! The place was so chill and the ambiance was relaxed. They served us super fast too! 5 stars, if you haven't eaten here yet you're missing

This is a Tuna Roll(left), and a Tuna Nigiri. Notice the color difference?

I'm a huge sushi fanatic and I have never seen tuna so dark. I purchased one nigiri tuna and one special tuna roll, and the colors were completely different. I have been here before and purchased the same tuna roll, and I was satisfied at that point. This makes me second guess this place since there is a sushi virus going around lately. After I mentioned it to the waitress, the sushi chef denied she didnt use the same tuna as my nigiri. She didn't even offer to replace my roll with a fresher tuna. I don't think I'm wrong for giving it two stars. I would have given it one but since my first experience wasn't bad I didn't want to base this review on just my experience this time. For this dark tuna roll and Nigiri I paid $16.00. It was a waste of money to me since I didnt eat it. I think its best to stick to their Teriyaki, since thats what they're mostly famous for. Maybe I was just unlucky this time, but this gave me a realization that I shouldn't eat sushi in El Paso.

If you're on the east side, I def recommend this place. For being a quick sit down sushi place, my wife and I were very impressed. I got the Hawaiian Roll and she got the Spicy Tuna roll. First of all, it came out looking beautiful! And it all tasted amazing to boot! Fair price for most things. There is a 20 dollar roll that I think was so much due to having BBQ eel in it. The waitress was very polite and friendly, very attentive... I can't say anything bad about this place. Whether you want to dress up and go out, or if you're on the go and feel like sushi in your sweatpants, this is the place to go!

I also picked this place due to the reviews but it seems like the name has been changed and maybe the business owner as well because it's now called Sushi Gang. We had wonderful meals of BBQ, Southern, American and Mexican food but we started to miss our Ramen meals back home. This place was great. The salad was a nice appetizer. We wished we had this back home. The dressing tasted peanutty with black sesame seeds and a nice acid balance. Kaemada's Ramen has El Paso influences. The broth had full bodied flavor, the meat was cut thicker with grilled char! Please also try the Birrea Ramen! We eat Birria broth and tacos at home and this ramen bowl was a great marriage of the 2 dishes. The thick cut and grilled char feature was also included in the pork bun. It was so tasty and satisfying with the thick pork cut, which I often thought was too thin anyways in the original version. They took the best El Paso meat flavor and Japanese presentation influences to make Kaemada's dish unique and their own. Don't expect the delicate and refined dashi broth Japan has.
