If you want to talk about an interesting and unique place, this is it! It isn't for everyone though as it gives off a "club vibe" with the music blasting pretty loud and lights are low. I think i finally found a place that makes me feel old! This is by no ways a diss to the establishment but the first thing we got when we entered was the suttle rumblings of the music they were playing. I get it, its a bar/restaurant and they have to build an ambiance of cool and japanese hipness since that seems to be their whole schtick. The drinks are good and cheap, the food is well prepared and their ramen was good, their spicy tonkotsu was good, because their regular one just tasted bland. Also they charge you for chili oil...now I don't know if that's the new cool thing to do in an establishment but...man, that kinda killed it for me as far as wanting to go back and eat there. I always saw chili oil as complementary with a meal in most asian spots and have gotten it for free beforehand so this was just kinda off-putting. Service was chill by the way, not perfect and the drinks took a bit but nothing out of the ordinary. But i would come back here again for their awesome happy hour and their delicious mixed drinks! I saw this spot on one of El pasos IG accounts, and let me tell you, it didnt disappoint. The fried rice spicy tuna appetizer was as delicious as I was expecting. The ramen was also very good and my friend had the fish rice bowl, which was satisfying. The drinks were a little on the weak side but refreshing. The prices were decent, the staff very attentive, and the vibe was pretty relaxing. They played good music while we were there so I was entertained dancing while eating my food! The most amazing vegan ramen I've had outside of LA. We had the vegetarian gyoza, Ichiban beer, the vegan miso ramen with chili bomb add-on and a custom made vegan ramen. The sauce on the gyoza was chefs kiss! The chili bomb definitely made the ramen spicy and great for a chilly day, extremely comforting. My partner custom made his vegan ramen in which the black garlic add on was the clear winner! The tofu in my ramen was beautifully cooked. Wonderful experience. The restaurant is an anime lover space for sure! Clean restrooms! I absolutely loved it, wish it were close to where I live! We were only passing through El Paso, and I'm so glad we stumbled on it. Loved their spicy tonkatsu ramen last time I came in so we came back. I got the chashudon this time and was super disappointed. I was expecting whole pieces of meat and I got teriyaki sauce soup with random that looked like the meat that comes out of a can of chicken. It was so salty from being drowned in teriyaki sauce it was almost inedible. I just got rice on the side and picked out some of the pieces of meat. The ramen is actually pretty good at this place and the service is usually always on point. They have a decent variety of ramen as well as other dishes and appetizers if ramen is not your thing. Overall it is all pretty good and I would recommend it if you are in the mood for ramen and other snacks. My only complaint is how the girls are now dressing, all of sudden they started wearing just sports bras and tiny gym shorts. Last time I checked I was at a restaurant, not a gym. Now I know I know, but I'm not being insecure or anything like that, it's more geared towards avoiding establishments as a woman that sexualize and demean women's bodies. Why must we always do that? I don't see the guy waiters in tiny shorts and tank tops, so why just the women? In my opinion it just breeds a sexist and misogynistic culture within the business which is unhealthy and bad for moral. If your food is really that great and you're confident in what you're selling, you shouldn't need to sexualize and demean the women working for you by making them wear skimpy outfits. Except for today. lol service is excellent as always but today the ramen was not on point as it normally is.. it's been a while since I've been here but the fire thing I notice was the corn.. the corn is sour, like it's been added lime on to it.. big mistake, this is something that wasn't done before as it's always sweet but this time the corn was sour....
