I have a confession: I love name brands. I have another confession: I hate paying full price for things. I have been shopping at Keiki 2 Keiki for about three years now since my now four-year-old son turned one. They actually opened for business right around before he was born, but I had just moved away from Kaimuki to Ewa Beach to live with my boyfriend. The store is also tucked away in the shopping center across from Kahala Mall with the Urgent Care and Lam's Garden. I found this place when I ran out of hand-me-downs for my son and had to buy him clothes. Him and my now one-year-old daughter are dressed in the nicest clothes from the nicest brands like Cinnamon Girl and Quiksilver. I love telling the people who think I spend a lot of money on clothes that I acutally get it for a fraction of the cost. $6.99 for a $59 Cinnamon Girl dress? Yes, please! A note about the selling process: Don't expect a huge sum of money. Remember, Tiana has to sell these items that she buys from you and make a profit to keep her business running. If you are looking to make much more money from your items, look into selling them yourself via a garage sale or Craigslist. That was the advice she gave me when I asked how much she would give me for a stroller I wanted to sell, and I am now passing that on to you. She is an honest person making an honest living. I do bring my clothes and other knick-knacks in to sell when I am able to make the trek out there, but I feel good knowing that I am able to help keep this wonderful store running. I have been to Caterkids, and yes, while they do offer the "refund" on holds that you pay for and decide not to keep, it is not worth it to me since the customer service is nowhere near the service I get from Tiana and her crew. Tiana knows my name, knows what I typically shop for, knows my kids' names, and engages in conversations with me that are not business-related. You can't put a price on that. That is how you keep customers. (And honestly, I shop here frequently online or in-store. Credit is no problem for me.) This store is my godsend, and Tiana will have my business until my children outgrow what this store carries. read more

The two workers immediately said hello to me and a few minutes later walked around the store asking if anyone needed helped. It is crowded inside the store and I really didn't feel like going thru everything. I recommend that either the sellers or workers to clean off the toys that were dirty. As a buyer I don't want to clean it off. So that did turn me away from some items. The organizations in the store seems slightly off. I definitely would go when you have plenty of time to look and find things . I spent about an hour and found a few items at great prices. Parking almost turned me away but wrapping around one more time I finally found a spot. I definitely would try to go again when I have energy or need more for my child in the future. There is so much to say. First I want to say that I am an Army brat and Army spouse so have moved a lot in my life. I have gone in resale stores with my mom (where my love for a deal came from) and been to many on my own as a mother of four kids. This store has THE BEST customer service of any store I have been in. Tiana somehow remembers your name, your childs name, and things you like after meeting you one time. I would love to have her ability to memorize things like that and put it to good use so you feel like you are talking to a friend. After just a few short conversations with her I know she puts her everything into this store and works around the clock making the store better and you can definitely tell. This store is a bit cramped due to the small space but it is NOT dirty. You may have to say excuse me to get around other shoppers and get down the aisle but I don't see that as a bad thing. I always keep in mind the cost of retail space in other locations when I think about the small space. I have never sold to the store only because I had gotten rid of all my larger baby items before I moved to Hawaii and my kids are hard on their clothes/shoes so I donate those when they have been passed down through my four kids. I love that I can see things on FB and hold things as soon as they come in the store and pay over the phone or go pick them up the next day. I enjoy seeing Tianas daughter there because then you don't feel like you are in a porcelain shop where you have to keep your child from touching anything for fear of upsetting the owner. They have a large toy selection that my daughter likes to play with while I shop which is nice for me. It would be good parenting if parents would make their child(ren) pick up what they pulled out so as to not clutter the walkway but unfortunately I see the staff having to pick up the toys most days. This little store is tucked away in the corner of a shopping plaza. I almost missed it myself had it not been for all the strollers on the sidewalk. There is a ton of stuff packed in there. So much that it can be difficult for two people to get around at times. They have children's clothes/shoes and toys. I also saw some maternity clothes. The items there are used so inspect what you are looking for before purchasing. For example, several of the bumbo seats had straps that were falling apart in my hands. They were brittle and frail and tearing. Some were also faded like they'd been in the sun too long. Also, if there is something in particular you are looking for, it may be best to call first and see if they have it before you make the drive down. There is parking there for all of the stores in that small plaza, so I'd suggest going outside of peak hours so you can find a spot there. As far as price, I personally thought some things were priced well (fairly) and some were not (overpriced). Overall, I'd recommend this store with a bit of caution. read more

Wonderfully owned small business. Granted this is not a Babies R Us or Toys R Us. Remember, this is a consignment shop where families can find a great deal on kids items or conveniently sell all their unused items at one time for a lump sum. However, the experience doing business with them has been absolutely great. Parking - A bit difficult, but I was always able to find parking after 5 minutes or so of pulling over and waiting on the side. If you do plan on selling, they offer the option for you to pull up front and will help you unload. Selling - They offer a decent amount to you if you are selling clothes, not too much and not too little. The FB page lets everyone know in advance what they are looking for in particular. If there were items that Tiana was unsure of, she checks it out first on her laptop before making a decision. This shows that no random offer is given without thought and consideration. There can be a wait on some days because there are a lot of people selling to them. They offer the option to come back in an hour, call you when they are ready, or you can watch them go over your things. It's not like they're keeping secrets. Store credit or a check is given for reimbursement. Buying - Check out their FB page! Items are uploaded through the day. You can even put things on hold. If there is an item in particular that you are looking for, they have a log so they can call you if that item comes in. Everyone is catching on to this store, because someone always puts the item I want on hold before I can even type out "HOLD!" If there was an item you were unsure of or did not know how it works - Tiana and her workers graciously take the time to look it up online and help you out (such as a youtube tutorial, company website, etc.) Customer Service - EXCELLENT!! There are only a few workers plus the owner at this very very busy store. I actually feel bad at times because it seems like the owner is working 24/7 posting things up on the FB page & managing the store. This location is a lot bigger than the previous one at Kahala. Less cluttered so easier to browse through the merchandise. My daughter had a lot of fun checking out the toys. It was also our first time selling items and it was fairly quick. I also wasn't sure what to expect as far as how much I'd get paid out but it was decent. They give you more if you decide to take the store credit vs receiving cash. Over all I think it's a convenient way to get rid of items you don't want and don't have time to resell online like on the Facebook marketplace or Craigslist, garage sale, etc. I must say though parking is rough at this location. We actually came early at about 10am and the lot was filled so decided to run a few errands and went back a few hours later, still it was busy, cars trying to get out but luckily I was able to find one of the 30 mins stalls available. read more

I appreciate this family owned business because there is almost everything you can think of for your little one. The best part about baby items are that your little one will LOVE an item for a short time but then will want something new. The beauty of this business is that you can bring your gently used items and get something new that will keep your child entertained, then do it again in 6 weeks. They have a great selection of strollers, diaper bags and pack and plays that have definitely come in handy when we have had family/friends visiting. Buying: Majority of the prices are reasonable. (There is some clothing that's a tiny bit high.) I can always find something to buy. Through FB, you can "shop" & put your items on hold, pay over the phone or pay in store by the closing of the next business day. There is quite a bit of clothing, don't expect it to be easy to shop it. Selling items to them: It is a resale business so don't expect to get paid out a lot for your items. (Keep in mind- they also don't sell it to customers at high prices.) You can choose a check or take store credit, where they usually offer more for credit. I don't know how much they give you for each item, but I estimate about 1/4-1/3 of the price they sell it at maybe depending on the category of the item. Overall: The staff is very friendly and they genuinely get to know you. Tiana is a super mom! She works hard on keeping up-to-date with FB as well as the store. I really wish I could give this place ZERO stars! This has got to be the most unprofessional, unreliable, inconsiderate "business" I have ever been to! This place is an absolute joke! They posted a kids' roller coaster on a Facebook yard sale page, so I responded to express interest. The lady I spoke with told me I would have to go to her store to buy it. The store wasn't scheduled to open until 10, so I asked her if I could meet her there a little earlier since today is my daughter's 2nd birthday and I was trying to finish prepping for her party. She said she couldn't get to the store any earlier, so I packed up my 2 babies and sat in traffic for 45 minutes to get to her store. At 9:50am I pulled into the parking lot and got a notification on Facebook that the item had been sold! I walked in the door as someone else was walking out the door with the slide that was supposed to be held for me. They completely wasted 1.5hrs of my time that I didn't have to spare, and they were very cold and unapologetic about it. I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to this poor excuse for a shop! read more

I love this place. The owner is amazing and really is in it for the community. She always has a smile on her face. I know working with people can be hard but she makes it look easy. I always get a good to see you it's been a while and wow your little one is getting so big. When I take things in to sale I know I'm walking away with less than if I sold myself on Facebook. I know she is doing me a service so I don't have to meet random people in hopes they will buy. It's totally worth it. I also know if she doesn't buy it there is a good reason. This consignment store is a GEM for the amount of clothes, toys, books, strollers, etc. that they are able to resale at an affordable price. The owner and staff have a cozy space to work with...as you are able to tell from the outside of the store! So, with that in mind do not be surprised if you are looking through bins of clothes located under racks or reaching high and low for little treasures. I wish I had found this place before my son was born! He is going to be one in a month and I have bought and sold to Keiki2Keiki over that time. A friend and I have been going here for quite sometime. As business continues to increase, the friendliness of the staff and organization seems to decrease. I guess the mentality is they don't longtime customers, when the next fool will eventually come to replace them. Absolutely terrible service, especially the owner. The buying experience is absolutely ridiculous. Incredibly long wait time and odd buying program. Cater Kids, despite the appointment requirement, is immensely better. Words cannot describe how terrible it is. As for the store itself, untidy and unorganized. For a store full of workers, they obviously don't get much done. Everything is all over the place. Thift store? More like junk yard. Finally the staff. The only friendly worker I've encountered is Loki(?), as for everyone else: terrible. I believe the saying: "One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch comes to mind." Unfortunately, the bad apple in this case is the owner. Store was so incredibly messy that it was difficult to focus. Toys all over the floor, teetering stacks of books, swing after swing after swing, clothes crammed onto racks. It was awful. Just utter chaos. Added to the mess of the store was the indignity of trying to sell items there. The women working look at you as if they're handing you a welfare check. They have an oddly secretive system that fails to indicate how much they are paying you for your items. They just offer you a lump sum, which is annoying, because I wasn't sure which of my items were worth certain amounts. I might have kept some things if I had known. They are quite rude and dismissive and seem over worked and understaffed. I would suggest selling on Craigslist or even giving your items to people who can actually use them rather than wasting your time here. Overall a pretty terrible experience. read more

Just a friendly PSA for those who shop here. Do your due diligence before purchasing collectible, trademarked items such as Shopkins and Tsum Tsums. The store has a history of selling fake and counterfeit toys. Definitely not cool to sell fakes to unknowing customers, especially children. Also, be firm about your terms for selling items that are dropped off for viewing. I was there when someone dropped off a higher priced item and a customer walked in wanting to purchase it when the item wasn't yet for sale but the store sold the item and was going to "make something up" to the item's owner about why they sold it. I was pretty shocked that they said this right in front of me. I will stick to donating things or giving them away. read more

This was our first time going to Keiki2Keiki & our first time selling. We chose to go here rather than Cater Kids because Keiki2Keiki you dont need to make an appointment to sell. We got there with several brand new baby girl clothes, some slightly used (wore once), 2 strollers & a brand new Carters Jungle Jill crib bumpers (complete set). Dropped everything off & was told it shouldnt be long, only like an hour. We decided to kill time at the mall. About 2hrs went by, no call...went back to Keiki2Keiki & they still werent done! 2+ hours for just $50 & ended up taking some back home. Couldnt tell us really why they denied things. Walked around in their store to see if there was anything we wanted...I dont know how people find anything in there?! The store is tiny & is PACKED so much that 1) you cant walk around 2) you cant find anything. The clothes they gave back to us were in a lot better condition than some of the stuff they had there. So, I'll pass on $60 store credit, I'll take my $50 check & my stuff to Cater Kids where the staff are a lot friendlier, the store is bigger, you can walk around even with a stroller & they're stuff is better quality & organized. one last thing, for a 2nd hand-use store a stroller for $325 was ridiculous!! not even in good condition. I have sold to her and have purchased from her. The very first thing she said to me was, pull your car up and I will help you unload. I have been in the retail buisness my whole life. Not once has an owner ever given me this kind of customer service. She also gets a 5 stars because she is honest. A few of my items she recommended I sell on my own for more money. She isn't about just making money. She truly cares about each person and after walking in one time, you become part of the Keiki 2 Keiki Ohana. The entire staff is kind and helpful. Worth driving to and worth the parking issues. I've been there SEVERAL times and found a spot no, problem. But I hear some have a harder time. Give Keiki 2 Keiki a shot...you won't be disappointed. My sister told me about this place and since I was looking for a new stroller I headed down to check it out. They had a few strollers but I had a specific one in mind that they did not have, no big deal, so I looked around. No one really said anything to us when we walked in but that doesn't bother me, sometimes I just like to be left alone and if I need help ill ask. (They did not seem "rude" though). Didn't find anything but when I went home I "liked" them on Facebook and noticed they post new items and you can hold them, awesome! I'm always checking what new stuff they get in! I started cleaning up my daughters room and put some stuff aside to sell to them and finally got around to getting in. We arrived at around 10:05am and there was one person in front of us. They give one lump sum for smaller items and half of their selling price on bigger items. The items I took in were really no use to us so we were just going to take whatever they offered us. The offer was just what I thought they would give plus we got about 10% of our items back that they decided not to buy. It was a quick and easy process. This time the 2 ladies working were very warm and inviting! I'll defiantly be back to browse and also to sell again. I don't mind the store being so small, they do awesome work to give their customers cheap items and great deals. How can you complain?! read more

The fact that there are only two children consignment shops on the entire island makes this a rare treasure. Yes, the space is small, but wow do they cram in awesome finds. I have purchased two strollers from them, both doubles, and have been extremely happy with them. I was able to get honest feedback from the employees on the pros and cons of them. If you see complaints about the store being small, remember there are advantages, such as super great deals on larger items that can't be stored in the store for more than 24 hours. Every time I have been in the store (maybe five times now) there have been one day only rockstar deals on really nice items. The last stroller I bought retails online for around $250, I paid $49. It is overwhelming to see everything, there are two layers of racks of clothes and under them are baskets of more clothes, organized by size. I will never pay full price for baby shoes again, there are oodles! If you want to critique them on having too much in the store and it making it a bit untidy, give them half a chance to get on their feet and get started. This is a brand new company who scored an amazing location. Perhaps if we continue to give our support someday they will have a bigger space. For right now, I am thoroughly happy stepping over a few toys (always clean and amazingly priced toys) to find the deals. (And if you're complaining about children running around, please talk to the parents, not the ownership). I'm a budget-tight mama, and I find it impossible to leave there empty-handed. If you don't mind rummaging through bins of either new with tags or very gently loved clothes, the mother load of shoes and just racks and racks of clothes hanging up than this is the place to be. The lady that was there this afternoon told me that no drawer is off limits and I could look through it all. I found so many cute accessories for my baby and cute legging for my older daughter. I was even able to pick up something for my oldest son (sshh his birthday is coming up). To say that I love this store would be an understatement. I went to this store for the first time and the last time.I have been following them on instagram and Facebook for a while and just never made it out to buy anything and the one day i have things to sell mind you there mostly all brand new or used once they literally took or bought nothing. The owner said she has to be confident in selling the items and the ones i had was hard to sell.. if you look around the store mostly all those things are hard to sell or dirty so to turn away my new things and it wasn't even clothes baby items.. i must day they was not willing to take it in the first place even with me explaining what they was and one of the lady said oh it's electronic well we are really busy(2ppl in the store just walking around) and it might take a while cause we have to plug it in and check if they work.. ok i have time but when it comes to my turn it's like she didn't even look at the items.. all i can say is I'm unfollowing them and donating all my stuff.. it's sad when you are a first time customer and get The Who cares attitude and to say you have to be confident in selling it.. well you should of told that to all the other ppl with the same things and the store so full.. read more

This store is one of the most unorganized, messiest, and dirtiest places I've every been to! Bought a few clothes for my daughter and there were tears and damage. So, instantly returned and staff shorted me. At my first visit, I thought the owner and employees were very inviting and friendly as a holiday sale brings new customers. However, the business is only loyal to close friends of the owner and dis-invites new clientele to be apart of its family. The owner puts up pics on fb of featured items daily and the staff puts a 24-hour hold on the item. I was the first person to hold it, and that 24-hour hold was not applied to me due "not being a regular." The item was passed onto a regular that same day. What kind of business is this? We don't go there anymore cos consigning there is simply waste of time if you r looking for fair offer on your items. They buy them extremely cheap and don't give you a breakdown. There was couple times when I would keep items cos they wouldn't tell me how much they would offer for it. Good place to buy, but not sell. Better to sell online, you'll get more for your items. I tried to sell some new baby clothes and they only offered about $0.50 for each item and some were sets. Location wise it's pretty convenient, however the parking stalls are super tight. I love K2K. I started coming when they first opened & Tiana was a one woman show. What drew me in is that there is good quality stuff there. I admit that I do like the "better" things & I have found some great brands that I wouldn't normally find at a 2nd hand store. What is keeping me coming back now is Tiana. Tiana has always been so helpful -she'll hold stuff for you if u can nab them fast enough on FB & she has come out to my car to help me with my stuff more times than I can remember. I'm always so impressed that she can remember little details that we've chatted about. I would come every week if I lived closer. So I only get to make it out about once a month & try to leave my 2 yr daughter at home so I can take my time & not miss a single thing. It's such a treat to come here. Would rather pay full price then deal with this place. Owner is so serous and SO not helpful.

My impression of this shop is better summed up by the 2-star description ("Meh, I've experienced better"), but I felt this was unfair to the store and the owners because it wasn't terrible, it was just "Meh". It is a little crowded and you need to dig both through the hangers and the bins underneath, but the clothes are divided up into sections by size and each section is actually very small, so it doesn't take you that long to go through the size you are looking for. The shoes are a bit of a mess and hard to sort through. They actually have quite a large selection of baby things (jumpers, swings, bumbos, carriers, etc.) and a lot of books and plastic entertainment toys. Fabric or wood toys are much harder to find here so if you are anti-plastic this may not be the place for you. This isn't the fault of the store, probably people tend to bring in more plastic. I didn't give this a 4-star rating because of the quality of clothes offered compared to the price. Although their website states that they "like" brand name things, many of these brand name items were in poor condition (pilled, faded, stretched). I was surprised to see that the store took those items in. They also sold cheaper items (Carter's, Wonder Kids) for prices close to the same as you could get at Costco, KMart, or Waikele outlets. I expect these items to be much cheaper when I buy second hand. I have only been to this store and to Cater kids a few times, but I have found more things for better value at Cater Kids. I love the idea of this store and it is closer to me than Cater Kids, but prices and quality just aren't there. Also, I have sold items here before that were either never-worn or barely-worn and in excellent condition and brand-name or designer. Many items they passed on even though they were higher quality than anything they sold in their store, and others that they took they provided relatively little compensation for. I ended up selling the rest on Craiglist for much more, even though it took more work. I wish they carried more clothes that were the quality that I had brought in. If you are looking at either donating or bringing your things here then it may be worth the sell because at least you will get something back. The check seems to be about 60-70% of what they give you in store credit. But if you are actually hoping to recoup some money for your higher-end items you might do better with a Craigslist ad. As to staff friendliness, both were very friendly and they didn't mind the children in the store that were playing with the toys. Perhaps people who thought they were rude were upset that they don't hover over you like other annoying salespeople. They let you take time to browse, but if you have any questions they take the time to answer and help out where they can. Bottom line: don't expect too much but its worth the trip. read more

I love this store! I have been a customer since they first opened and return whenever I can. Everyone in the store, customers and owners, are always in a good mood. The store is packed with tons of quality, gently used items at fair prices. The ladies are knowledgable and professiona. You can ask them anything, anytime. Nobody gets annoyed by kids "testing out" the merchandise The buying process is smooth and quick. It gets crowded, which only means that customers love comong to the store and are comfortable selling their items. Ms. Tiana stays on it for her customers, posting items nightly on their FB page. I have to say I loved this place. It is small, yes. It is packed. We are talking about Honolulu here, so of course it is a small store. But the goodies you find in there is amazing.The staff is beyond friendly, and always offering to help. They were very friendly to my children, which I very much appreciated. This is a small "family owned" business. I would much rather give my business to a local family than to a big franchise.
