We specifically discussed the flowers I wanted, the overall vibe, and the flowers I absolutely did NOT want. I made it crystal clear: NO hydrangeas. Mostly roses!! When I arrived at the venue, not a single flower we selected was there. A completely different tablescape- I couldn't believe it. Instead, I was given a bunch of yellow and gold flowers - basically whatever was left sitting in their HOT refrigerator. The arrangement completely clashed with the entire tablescape and decor I had planned around the pink-and-white aesthetic. And yes -- despite specifically requesting no hydrangeas -- they were included too. The corsage look like it was a throwback from the 1980s. They charged $100 for that too. We partly chose them because of the option to visit the store before the wedding to see some mock ups of the flowers and candles, which allowed us to meet in person, make adjustments, and solidify the plan. The team was communicative, professional, and did an awesome job of getting things set up and helping us repurpose things like our arch and aisle arrangements so we got the most use out of everything. 10/10 we would work with them again in a heartbeat!

Valentine's Day was 3 months ago. Elmer is the cheapest chocolate. Delivery sent by Doordash. Are they kidding me? I was promised a call from the owner. They said he'd call today. No call. I'm not surprised. Malverne Floral Design is a complete and total joke. Stay as far away as possible unless you prefer to lose your money. Use Wick's in Baldwin, NY instead. Wick's cares about their customers and Wick's will send the correct order and real quality Godiva chocolate. Flowers from Wick's are delivered by one of their staff members. This is the last time I use a discount coupon from Teleflora. From now on, I'll ALWAYS use Wick's.

Jay also apologized as he never saw the pictures or the flowers before handing them off for the ceremony. He offered a complimentary bouquet but I turned him down. I appreciate the gesture but the damage is done and I can't get the day or the picture back. I'm grateful for the follow up. We use this florist to continue supporting local businesses in the community. However Jay the "business owner" sold me welted flowers for my wedding day. He quoted $135 for the bouquet, and when we picked up the bouquet he let us know (via the phone), that he incorrectly quoted the price. The flowers were already browning at the top and the receptionist had to work her magic to try and make it presentable. For the mistake he gave us $10 for the inconvenience. I, the bride, went back the next day and of course he wasn't there. He got on the phone, didn't listen to my customer's complaint, and immediately jumped into explaining inflation, how he didn't make a profit, and we could've waited for the receptionist to make another bouquet and hour before the ceremony. There was no acknowledgment that he could've reached out to us when he received the ordered batch a day before the wedding to troubleshoot. He was rude and lacked remorse for how his short comings affected the wedding. At the end he gave me an additional $25 and sent me on my way. Flowers are a natural product so I understand not being able to control it. However the customer service from the owner or lack there of is unacceptable. If you're still reading this go to any Florist is FLORAL PARK or NEW HYDE PARK instead. I grew up there and never had an issue. I didn't listen to my gut and tried to give local businesses support but I honestly wouldn't want this experience for another bride.
