Located at the Hampton station, abundant indoor and outdoor seating with orders placed at the counter. Servers will then bring you water and your order out. Great service and a kitchen packed with the family working hard to make everything fresh. Eracg item we ordered was amazing! My favorite was the Chkmeruli: chicken thighs in the rich garlicky, creamy, turmeric sauce.

This is a bottle of the Georgian wine served at the Supra feast

We recently visited Keipi (pronounced kay-ee-pee) for the Friday night Supra. The word Keipi is derived from an Arabic term meaning "to be in a good mood" and is the word for a traditional Georgian feast. It is really a cultural immersion dining and drinking experience hosted by the toast master emcee, called the Tamada. We were seated at a long table with 15 spots, at the head sat the Tamada, Evan DeBiasse, who runs the place. Another spot is reserved for the Melekipe, who keeps the wine flowing. The word Supra means tablecloth, signifying a fancier but informal feast. The Tamada is responsible for organization of the feasts traditions and toasts while the Melekipe offsets this organization and represents the chaos of the feast. The keipi is a five course meal that includes unlimited cocktails and Georgian wine, see the picture of the label attached from one of the wines. I asked Evan how many attend a usual keipi, the maxium number of people is 30 and the cost is $110 per person reservations are required as it is a "ticketed" event. You can also arrange for a private keipi conducted in your home. The space is a renovated early 1900's warehouse and the decor is rustic, homey, warm and inviting open air atmosphere. On a pleasant evening like ours, garage doors are opened for the breeze onto a pleasant Edison lighted lawn space. The first course is appetizers with cheese, a marinated eggplant roll (badrijani) and salads. One of my favorite things was the phali, minced vegetables and herbs in a a walnut and olive oil paste, delicious. Then salads... a chopped beet salad, a Mediterranean tomato cucumber salad and another salad with tomato, cucumber, yellow peppers, red onion, walnuts. The beet salad was my favorite, red beet, onion, walnuts, vinegar, feta, and arugula. Other appetizer we enjoyed were the cheese stuffed grilled mushrooms and Georgian fries. A specialty is the kinkhali dumpling, intended to be eaten by hand holding its "handle", see picture, biting a small bite off and slurping the juices before eating the spiced meat filling and dumpling itself. This is fun food! Next was the traditional "bread boats", which are chewy breads shaped like a boat with fillings. It's kind of like a pizza but is more like a bread with a dip. The most traditional is the Adjaruli Khachapuri, filled with 4 cheeses-( representing the sea), with an egg yolk on top representing the sun, and you mix the cheese and yolk together, break off the bread and dip it into the mixture. Others were vegetables and cheese or meat and cheese in the center. One was filled with cheese, smoked salmon and dill Then comes the meat dishes. The Chkmeruli, which is tender, boneless chicken thighs in a Tumeric cream sauce served with flatbread. We had marinated beef, lamb and pork tenderloin served with several choices of traditional sauces. Dessert was the Medok & ice cream- a 6 thin layer cake with lemon creme/ honey with vanilla ice cream with an orchid on top. The feast food was none stop, excellent variety and quantity. Evan was a great host, leading the toasts off on subjects, love, family, humor, our country (traditional to Georgia) and finally a somber remembrance of those loved ones who have passed. Every toast ends with gargimados, shouted loudly with aggressive glass clinking. This means, "to the victory!" This is an unforgettable experience of food, feast, drinks, toasts, new friends, and an awareness of a cultural delight from the country of Georgia. At the end, leftovers were offered. I volunteered to take home a halfway empty, or rather, halfway full, bottle of Georgian wine and Evan just gave me an unopened one as a gift to take home. We absolutely loved the entire experience!

We've been to this establishment a few years back, when Birds fly south brewery was still open. Since the closure of the brewery, lots of local businesses in the area have also closed except for a rare gem that is Keipi. Seeing the restaurant bustling in a semi-deserted venue is a testament to the quality of the food the service. Get the traditional kachapuri, the lamb, and a wine flight. The food is fresh, simple, and well executed. I recommend the amber wine flight because it's something different and delicious at the same time. Talk to the staff, you'll learn this is a nonprofit establishment that uses the proceeds for volunteer work to various countries such as Georgia and Guatemala. The staff is passionate and on weekends they host family style dinners (which we will be back for). 5/5 stars

Omg what an amazing experience! I went to their monthly community dinner and it was absolutely amazing. Service was outstanding, wine was plentiful and food was simply delish. Learned so much abt the Georgian culture. And had great convos with folks from all walks of life. Toasting to life. Highly recommend doing this experience, well worth the money.

This was our first time visiting Keipi. We were very impressed. We got the lamb MTSVADI which was big chunks of lamb, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chicken and spinach KHACHAPURI was incredible. Even the mediterranean salad was made with the freshest ingredients. I can't wait to return here and try more!

Oh my, how have we never found this gem of a restaurant? Well, if one doesn't know where Hampton Station is, you could have missed it (like us) but you would regret not making the effort to get there! This little enclave, nestled in a cross section of residential/industrial is not a place you would just stumble upon. But as noted, you need to make it a destination. Keipi, features a Georgian cuisine that is worth the trek to get here. Our drinks were craftily prepared by a dedicated bartender who specializes in magic. We're into Manhattans' these days, but the bar keep sold us on a slight variation to a Brooklyn (the chief difference is that instead of sweet vermouth it's subbed with dry vermouth and maraschino cherry liquor). It was a perfect compliment to the treats we were about to experience. The Mediterranean tomato and cucumber salad was our starter and what a way to begin a meal here! The katchapuri (pronounced how it's spelled) was truly terrific as you tear off a piece of this roasted bread and then dipping in the wonderful sauces like the spicy adjika, satsebeli and garlic butter. As if we weren't already full, we rounded out the meal with the lamb mtsvadi. I really can't say enough about the experience of being at Keipi and the food (and drink) that we imbibed. But one final mention is that the restaurant belongs to a non-profit organization First Things Foundation, with the goal of supporting those who trek to far away places to live and work among the locals, for 2 year stints. https://first-things.org/. So making a visit is not just a great meal, it's supporting great things!

I think this is the second time in my life having Georgian food, but after my experience here, it definitely won't be my last. I'm very happy to know that this restaurant is also a non-profit and really strives to have diners take time to express their gratitude through a Georgian tradition. The owner came around and explained this to us and did a toast with us, which was really cool. The food was all pretty good here and the portion sizes were quite generous.

Our favorite restaurant in GVL. Tonight, on perhaps our 10th visit here, my daughter said, "I'm going to pass away from the magnificence of this (Khachapuri)." Gagimarjos!

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant last night. A couple friends and I wanted to get drinks at the bar but they told us we could sit at a table. We went up to the bar to order drinks and next thing we knew, they brought us a free tray of cheese. It was so good we decided to order the dumplings and they were PHENOMENAL . My espresso martini was delicious as well. They then let us try one of their wines on the house. So friendly, very cool vibes, will 100% be back.

Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out. I'll be sure to come back for that. I chose outside for the nice breeze out with lots of umbrella's for shade. I always feel cold inside restaurants and didn't have a sweater.. so I chose one of the long marble top tables outside. There is also a big tv for game viewing in a fully covered corner area. The bar opens up so it's accessible whether seated inside or out (photos). The menu has great choices. I had done my research beforehand since I was on a time crunch and ordered the roast beef melt.. which came with fries and au jus that was amazing!! I added a side of steamed oysters.. perfection!! These came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, red wine vinegar and oil for dipping. I ended my meal with creme brûlée that was better than one's I've had in Paris. It was topped with a perfect layer of flamed sugar, fresh assortment of fruit in whipped creme + a tiny crown of mint. The creme brûlée had a hint of lemon, making it over the top delicious. Austin B. Was my server and he was amazing. Really a great dining experience and with food being that amazing for lunch.. work felt like a vacation! Hope you go eat at STIR in Greenville.. so worth your time and convenience when dining downtown.

However, if you're not getting the basics right something is very, very wrong. For what it's worth, the server was great. Courteous, friendly and professional. The food on the other hand was dismal: The Caesar salad was just a plate of soggy romaine ends swimming in dressing. No hearts, nothing substantial. When I asked for olive oil I was given a plastic container of cooking oil. The mushroom flatbread had almost no cheese or mushrooms and was undercooked. The only okay entree involved fried chicken, I'm being charitable here because it actually looked like a Sysco ready to heat industrial food. I don't like writing bad reviews, but this was a pricey meal and I felt burned in a big way. I hope they turn things around, but it's a no go for us going forward.

Bluefin "nachos" ie wontons.... Great!! Scallops and bacon sliders.. great!! Then I decided to also add the Wagyu - crispy rice. Also great!! But you know what else really sets this place apart?
