This place is busy as always but we got in right on time, and got seated immediately without waiting Our server-Lisa came right away and asked us what we would like to start with. So far the service has been excellent. We ordered kids pancake (didn't get to take a picture), cheesesteak omelette with fries, and customized breakfast plate-pancake, scrambled eggs, bacon. I've been to KeKe's in South Florida, and I must say this location BLEW US away. The staff was most likely the kindest and most welcoming that I have experienced since before Covid when it comes to breakfast visits. We walked in and were seated immediately. Since we are regulars to the concept, we already knew what we wanted. I got my usual Greek omelette with potatoes and a side of bacon. My daughter got Nutella/banana stuffed french toast (eggs and bac on the side) and my sister got the apple cinnamon french toast, same sides. Orange and apple juices. Food was out in less than 12 minutes. I also ordered a pancake for the table and I can confirm it was the best pancake that I have ever had in my life. No I wasn't starving, yes it was that good. I had to tell our waitress to give praises to the kitchen. We didn't want to leave with how well we were being treated. The location is more modern than the ones I've seen before. This was my first at this location. I decided to go here this morning, being that I was in the area. Parking was slightly difficult to find, and having to wait a couple of minutes I did manage to find a parking spot. I decided to sit outside because of the toasty weather today and no rain. I decided to order a Western Omelet, home fries, and toast. That Western Omelet was very good and flavorful, and so were those potatoes. The bread was perfectly toasted as well and I decided to have that with some delicious strawberry jam. If I'm in this area again, I'll decided to give them a visit again. read more

My first time at this Keke's location. The first time I tried Keke's was in Orlando but it is nice to now have a location in Jacksonville. I was quickly seated for breakfast but found service to be slow. After finally asking someone who my server was, another server jumped in and said they'd take our table. We ordered coffee and waters. I like that they had hazelnut creamer versus plain half/half like a typical breakfast place. For food, I got the scramble bowl and pancakes on the side. My meal was really good and the food came out hot and freshly prepared. They have some low calorie options so I also got a side of turkey bacon. Planned to have lunch with my youngest G-baby and a friend. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Had to wait on the other guests to arrive, but I was seated promptly. They brought my orange juice and patiently waited until the other guests arrived to ask about orders. Once ordered, most of the food came out within a reasonable time; however, it seemed that one guest's food was forgotten. We had to remind the host to go check on it. Something was wrong with the fryer, so the frys came out later than the late meal. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The food was well seasoned and delicious. The lighting was good. I like that Oakleaf was blessed with one of these restaurants. I've seen them all over Jacksonville and just haven't had a chance to sit down and try this place. They've got a really great, extensive menu for anything you could image for breakfast. The decor is upscale for a brunch spot, lots of colors and abstract art placed around. However, I was not a fan of the siloed seating arrangements, their booths sit in a line similar to IHOP but don't provide an opening for family seating at all. On to the food: 1) the french is f***ing huge! SO beautiful, PLEASE try it! You can order a single, double or triple slice. I ordered two fruit slices that came loaded with gigantic strawberries (which could be sliced a bit more thin for easier eating and overall physical appeal). With that, came a side of eggs slammed with an almost $3 slices of pepper jack cheese just get the cheddar, paired with a seriously odd breakfast hash. Sliced potatoes with limited seasoning and plenty of oil.. 2) my date ordered a simple meal - two eggs, grits and toast, which left her full and happy. All in all, I will be back. First time we ever been to a Keke's restaurant was in Orlando and we would always go there at least once each time we were in the area--service and quality was always good. The service at this Keke's location however didn't quite hit the mark. We were at first excited that we finally had a Keke's on this side of town. The restaurant is bright and clean with a fun mural at the back wall. When we got there, the restaurant wasn't even that busy yet we had to wait about 5 minutes to get seated. Apparently, they were short staffed--one waitress seemed overwhelmed while our waitress didn't seem to have any other speed other than SLOW. Cons: $15 for French toast with no sides is a lot unless it's the best French toast I've ever had and it wasn't . I asked for no powdered sugar on my French toast- I still had powdered sugar- it looks like they added it and read the ticket and stopped. That means a cook and waitress didn't think it was important enough to fix. I was a little bothered since I was sharing the fruit with my one year old who I didn't want to have the extra sugar. The man at the table next to mine also had to tell the waitress that she forgot salsa with his order. There was a stem on a couple blueberries and a green on a strawberry. I don't think close to $50 with tip, 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees were worth that much. There is really only two breakfast spots on this side of town so I'm sure this place will stay busy. I don't think we will go again. First watch is faster and has call ahead and when I request not to have something they follow it. Our first time here was this morning after church. It was a little busy but we only waited 20min for a table for 7. We chose this place because they serve cocktails for brunch, and they were good. The OJ came out separate from the champ so you can use as much as you want. I ordered the Italian Chicken panini, it was really good. I also ordered the Turtle flavored French Toast, it was also good. The kids had a large pancake, and a cheeseburger. My teen son said the burger was bland. Went here Sunday 11/17 for breakfast. Walked in at and out our name on the waitlist @ 11:24am. Said the wait would be approx 35 mins and the place didnt seem that busy but we said ok. 11:42 table is ready so all good there. Waitress seats us and gets our drink order. We order our food about 5 mins later so approx 11:50. About 45 minutes pass before our server ever comes back to check on us and says " sorry for the wait, we're short staffed on the weekend" . Another 15+ minutes pass and she's helping the table next to us. I say I need a real estimate on the wait because this has gotten ridiculous. She said they were "finishing it up right now." Another 10 mins pass it's now 1:05 pm. We can see other people are upset about not receiving their food around us. At that point we had enough and walked out. read more

I think my best advice is to not be seated at the booth right next to the counter. Last time we were there, the patrons' server just disappeared and I remember listening to them become very frustrated that they couldn't leave in a timely manner. This time, my husband and I were seated in the same seat and waited for over 20 minutes and no one came, no one checked on us, nothing. We finally got up to let the hostess know we were leaving and we barely got a response. He ask how many visits we've had their, how far did we travel to get there, then he wants us to show him on the Map on the screen where our house/address is. Um No!!! I've been to Keke's at the Jacksonville town center and have never had an issue. At the Oakleaf location I had the following issues: My group arrived and was seated right away (great). A group that came in about 15 minutes after we did (we had ordered way before that group was seated) received their food and ours was still missing. Once the food arrived, it was room temperature or cold (depending on the item). VERY DISAPPOINTED, especially when the bill was $80.00 (not worth the quality of the food). I ordered pecan pancakes, homestyle fries with jalapenos on the side and cheesy grits. My order came out completely wrong. The waitress who took my order went to get it remade. The manager came out with my pancakes which was stale and cold, my potatoes were undercooked and smoothed with Jalpanoes and my Grits were not seasoned or cheesy. I will not be back. read more

This is a new location for the chain and the service was excellent. The servers are very attentive to your needs. I would give 5 stars for service. With that said, the food was just average (3 stars). I ordered a bacon cheese omelette and was expecting them to use slices of bacon but i believe they used bacon crumbles that were too smokey flavored. My wife ordered the eggs benedict and it could have used more hollandaise sauce. The home fries were precooked so they were just warm and not crunchy. We are happy that Keke's is located in Oakleaf now and we will come back for brunch/lunch again. read more
