The customer service was not professional, starting from time we went in, my name has to be spelled numerous times, got seated 20 min later but no server until at least 20 min later, and food served was incorrect (ordered Floridian French Toast but given plain French Toast). I was in the area today and captured the moment to visit this place. It has been on my radar for a while. Walking in, I was greeted immediately and I asked for the bar seat. My server connected with me and I explained that based on her recommendation, bring me the food item that best describes "First Watch." She was up for the challenge and revealed to me that there are 2 menus, one for the common items and the other for seasonal items.. Moments later a plate was placed in front of me. My server called it,"SHISHITO BRISKET HASH" SHISHITO BRISKET HASH Blistered shishito peppers and smoked, hand-pulled brisket in a potato hash, topped with two cage free eggs any style, house roasted summer sweet corn, Cheddar and Monterey Jack, house-pickled red onions, scallions, roasted garlic aioli and Maldon sea salt. The initial thought was" does it taste as good as it looks?" With a resounding yes I found this delicious. There is a flavor profile with this that can cater to most people's tastes. After a couple of bites, my palate said, salt and pepper but not much. The hash by itself was pretty good, the eggs were cooked well and the shishito pepper wasn't too spicy. They said they liked what they ordered and said it was really good. I orders the Pancakes (two) with chicken sausage patties. Honestly it was just ok..... I've had this dish before here it was really good then but today it was just "ok". I told my wife "don't let me order this again here". I will go back to ordering the "Two for You" special. Those are the best and the best value. My wife ordered "Two for You" Market Veggies Sandwich and the Honey Pecan Salad. The sandwich wasn't cooked all the way so she had to send it back. They remade her another one. She said it was good but lacked pecans in it; only had maybe one or two small ones in it. The staff has always been very friendly, regardless of how busy they get. My lack of a 5-star review is mainly the serving sizes & the flavor of the food. I always find myself underwhelmed by those two factors... especially for the price. Expect to pay about $20/person (for a drink and a meal). In any town I have been to where there is a First Watch, the traditional places of eating (especially) breakfast have almost empty parking lots. I am speaking of places such as Denny's, Ihop, and similar with their unimaginative/boring menus, etc. First Watch has raised the bar with their menu offerings and modern ambience. I can easily sense bad morale at a company, and that is not the case here. The staff easily smiles and are quite attentive. For what FW offers, there entrees are fairly priced with the uniqueness and quality. High five to the menu development team and marketing peeps with offering an array of tempting drinks and sides. The Million Dollar Bacon is absolutely addictive. Recently I tried their summer seasonal offering of Blueberry Cornbread with lemon butter atop and it was very impressive. Though these extras will run up your bill, you know it is unlikely that you can get these items elsewhere and you want to treat yourself. I have never seen an ad for FW. Quite frankly, they don't need advertising. Happy and devoted customers and the power of their word of mouth is the best advertising. To those leaving reviews, just a suggestion: When I writing a reviews, I would never take away "stars" to ding a perceived bad experience that was an isolated one. Nor would YOU want to be remembered for any isolated imperfection in an employee review or guests at an event you held finding it necessary to gossip, if say, one of your casseroles was not heated all the way though. If I am disappointed for any reason, I judge it by the way it was handled. When I read reviews, I look for consistency of the good and the bad and ignore the isolated imperfections. A couple of friends Bromance here so it's a little too fru fru for me. However the its a change of the other breakfast/brunch places in the area. The location is very clean and the atmosphere is okay. It's not too loud and we sat at the bar area. I want to say the service is pretty standard. Each one of us got a coffee and our carafe can either be seen as convenient or lazy. I got the steak and bacon burrito and while the flavor was great, I kept digging for the steak. They use what you find in steak-um or at a cheesesteak place for the "steak". Another one of those places that I only go cause the group wants to eat there. read more

"This is going to be our annual tradition" my husband says. Breakfast date at first watch while the kids are at home with the grandparents. Haven't been to their other locations, but this one seems homey enough to not feel like a chain. Got plenty of options and customizations, plus seasonal specials, so it took awhile before we decided on The Works omelette and a Salmon fritatta. Paired with million dollar bacon just because. Its easy to overdo breakfast and feel nauseous afterward, but their meals pair well with salads and goes light on the butter / fat / cream so that postmeal crash is avoided... all while still managing to taste great. I loved how full of veggies my fritta was, and the sweet but savory tastes of thick pork slices. Plus I loved my "just like a Creamsicle" tangerine dream breakfast smoothie and my husband sipped on his coffee pot happily. Came here for brunch today and wasn't sure what to expect as I'm not much of a breakfast/brunch person. The restaurant is in the old Gators Dockside but has absolutely zero left over from that. It's bright, open, and extremely modern. The service was excellent. My friend ordered water to drink and a carafe of water was brought to the table with a glass for each of us. They serve coke products here and also have Coke Zero. I had that and every time my glass was nearly empty the server was back with a refill. When it came time to actually make a decision on food, I chose from the "sides" menu and had the biscuits and gravy with a side of seasoned potatoes. My friend had the Bacado. She said the omelette was delicious and stuffed full of cheese. The biscuits were so fluffy and not at all dry like some places. As for the gravy, it was the absolutely best sausage gravy I've ever had. There were big pieces of sausage and a true sausage flavor in the gravy. Not a hint of flour. The potatoes were seasoned and delicious too, however slightly over fried. Overall, this is the best breakfast restaurant I've been too in a long time. It's definitely going to be my go to restaurant when I'm craving sausage gravy. If sitting in isn't what you're looking for during these times, the do take out and you can order through Uber Eats and Door Dash. I highly recommend giving them a try. read more

This was the first time I was able to get into First Watch without waiting for way too long due to staffing issues, so I hope that their issues are resolved. I am not one to wait for long on any restaurant. This time it was great. No line, my friend and I got seated immediately, had great service and our food came out quickly. The food was very good. I had half a ham and havarti melt and a sweet honey pecan salad. It was nice that I could choose 1/2 of any of the salads on the menu. My friend also chose the honey pecan salad and enjoyed it. The price was excellent, especially for the amount of food we got. I couldn't even finish my salad. Next time I intend to try something of the breakfast menu, it looks like there is a lot of good options on it. read more
