Since this restaurant opened in our neighborhood, we've been coming here regularly. At their previous location, the space was much smaller, often crowded, and the parking lot was limited, so we didn't visit very often. The food is consistently served just as it should be--hot dishes arrive hot, cold dishes arrive cold, and we never have to wait long for our meals. The staff remembers us and always greets us warmly. It's the kind of place where you can truly relax and feel as comfortable as if you were eating at home. The dining area is bright and very clean. The décor has a contemporary art vibe that would look great in photos and on social media. Parking is plentiful and easy to navigate. Having Walmart in the same shopping center is also very convenient, since we can stop by for errands on the way home. This has become one of our favorite local spots. read more

Canopy Road Cafe is usually hopping and there's good reason for that. We had a wait on this Sunday, but that was mainly because there was rain outside and there tables in the patio weren't accessible. The wait was well worth it. The restaurant itself is small, the space used well. The decor bright and clean and all the service from the time of check in, along with the meal was stellar. With this being my first visit, I went for the basics for my breakfast. The eggs, coffee and sausage were really good. I like my coffee a bit stronger, but that's a preference thing. The hash browns were so crispy, so tasty. Some of the best I've had. No soft middle, just cooked to perfection. The pancake fantastic as well. Great taste, great consistency, just a hint of sugar. I could eat brunch here every single day. The staff is very nice and friendly to everyone. The cooks in the back know what they're doing because the food tastes incredible here. They have a whole wall painted like eggs and had music playing so the atmosphere and vibes here for eating breakfast was perfect. It's a pretty small place but the staff was so good to us. I always love to find a new breakfast spot, but wasn't very impressed by Canopy Rd Cafe. This one was next to Huey Magoo's and was pretty small/cramped. My server was very nice and attentive. Im so glad I read the yelp reviews before coming because that's how I learned about them having mimosas. Just like a previous yelper said, they weren't even on the menu. They actually had different interesting flavors. I decided to try the citrus mint mimosa. Unfortunately it was too much citrus and didn't taste the mint at all. The goat in the garden rolled omelette was mediocre. I liked the goat cheese in it and their bacon was good. The cheesy grits were bland. Such a cute little spot. We waited about 5 minutes for a table, but it can certainly get busy. We ordered a cinnamon roll to share, the frenchie, and chicken bacon ranch skillet. Canopy Road is quickly becoming my most favorite breakfast place. I've been twice so far, and have plans to go back soon. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, and have seating inside and out. It was a little noisy inside so we opted to sit outside both times that I've been. They seem to stay steadily busy, but haven't had a ridiculously long wait. The servers have all been very friendly, and quick on their feet. There isn't usually much of a delay from the time you sit to the time you get your food. The food... The food has been fantastic. Stopped by this spot to grab some breakfast this morning and it was just what I needed. I got a bacon, egg and cheese croissant sandwich with breakfast potatoes and it was delicious! I was seated as soon as I walked in right at the bar. It was a little smaller than expected inside so keep that in mind if you are coming with a large party. Overall, service and food were great. This is the perfect morning breakfast restaurant with the friendliest staff. The food is also very good. We went with a fairly large group of 7 and the squeezed us in a booth. While large groups may be difficult to accommodate, the were so kind when the kids spilled a glass of orange juice all over my omlet and they remade it for me. Came here for a late breakfast after seeing this place on my Instagram feed. We started with OJs, and asked if they did mimosas, which they did but it wasn't on the menu so that was a plus! It is not a huge restaurant but it was a nice setup. I ordered the surfer girl omelet and added corned beef hash to it with the breakfast potatoes and a side of the French toast as well. Recently, I was staying in Jacksonville while on a work trip and had breakfast delivered via DoorDash to the hotel. My boyfriend thought Mickey pancakes would cheer me up, and they did! Canopy road was bustling when we opened the door to enter. I have been trying to go to Canopy for months. Due to work and simply no time, I could not mustard any time. We were seated immediately and I was into the world all things Canopy. I opted for the Dagwood sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fires wer crisp and hot. Wifey got what I usually get. The Dagwood was enormous and I had to take it home. A triple decker sandwich with turkey, ham, tomato, lettuce, provolone cheese. It was misssing something. I do not know what but it was tasty. The corn beef looked overcooked for our liking. The grits looked lumpy. However, wifey enjoy her breakfast. We dropped in about an hour before closing and the staff was warm and friendly. The ambiance is cozy and quaint. We were in a hurry and our server was very accommodating to get us our food and bill as quickly as possible, and we appreciated it. I ordered the pork chops with eggs over easy and grits with toast. The meal was tasty and the portions were generous. My youngest had the kid breakfast and though he is a picky eater, he ate all his food and some of my grits and toast. He left saying how he loved the restaurant. My teen ordered chicken and waffles and asked that they be separated. He also enjoyed his meal. The chicken was light flaky and fresh. We had a BOGO pancake combo and the pancakes did not disappoint. The Funky Monkey pancake was definitely my favorite. All portions were very generous and staff was very attentive! This was a really cute brunch spot! My first time checking it out, and service was great. They were able to seat us within 10-15 minutes even though we went at 10 am on a Saturday and they were busy. We tried their skillets, omelette and specialty pancakes. The veggies for the skillet were seasoned very well, I wish the eggs had a little more flavor but with some hot sauce, it tasted great! We had a horrible experience this morning at Canopy Road Cafe on St Augustine Road. The waitress never put our ticket in and then didn't take accountability. We waited an hour for our coffee and food which never came. Three other tables around us were fed and left, that came in after us. Asked to speak to the manager and she said there was not one on hand. Totally unacceptable terrible service and finally walked out. We will never come back again. Found this great little spot while waiting on my car to be serviced down the road. We drove down the quaint little canopy road to get there, so the name totally makes sense. Our server, Bonnie was excellent, honest opinions about the menu were offered she was just all around a pro. The music that was playing in the background made my GenX heart very happy. All of the staff were spotted singing different songs. Great Vibes. On to the food. I ordered a Douglas skillet and it was awesome. I chose the hash browns stacked with delicious bacon and turkey tomatoes, provolone cheese, avocado and topped with scrambled eggs. I think next time I'll get the eggs over easy. Now, let's talk about the blueberry cobbler pancakes. These were heaven on a plate. So good. The pancakes themselves were the perfect texture light and fluffy, topped with a house made blueberry compote, a yummy cinnamon streusel and drizzled with a sweet glaze. They were perfect. Absolutely delicious. We tried to come on a Sunday and it was really busy so we came on Monday instead I'm so glad we came back! The churro waffle is probably the best waffle I've ever had.
