She was very attentive and when I asked her about the cooking staff and how they follow directions she said I guarantee you I will make sure they do and that she did! We were on this side of town for medical appointments, which also prevented us from having breakfast beforehand. As you can imagine, the hunger level was elevated by the time we were done. I recalled this location. Upon completing the medical appointments, we made our way over to satisfy our hunger. We walked in and found it to be reasonably busy. After a short wait, we were seated, and our server quickly handed us our menus and drink selections. I was reviewing the menu and noticed several great options. What a difference a couple of hours make . We have breakfast here quite a bit and love the food and service . We ate dinner here last night and this is the 3rd time and let me tell you the waitress in the morning are more seasoned and more customer service . The night staff are not friendly slow to serve and walk like they have all day . While we were there 3 tables in our area left and nobody moved to clean them . The food was good but paired with the customer service not worth the trip . I have been to this location s few times before. I decided to go here for breakfast being that I was in the area. Parking was slightly difficult to find today, and after a few minutes I managed to find a parking spot. The service here can be slightly slow, and there's sometimes a wait time. I decided to order two bacon, eggs, and cheese biscuit sandwiches, hashbrowns, and side of brown gravy. The biscuits were fresh and fluffy. The hashbrowns were nicely grilled and flavorful. I'm surprised that I haven't reviewed this place a long time ago. While looking for new breakfast places to order from, I decided to retry Bob Evans again. The last time I had a meal delivered from them the driver spilled by drink and went back to the restaurant to get another one. I've had some floppy cups open up on me before so I understood. This time around I got delivered a BYOB Omelet (three eggs, choice of 2 ingredients, toast or biscuit, home fries or hash browns) with grilled mushrooms and provolone, then added spinach and grilled onions with sourdough toast and home fries. The toast and the omelet came in separate containers. Who knew there was toast-sized containers that were not styrofoam? I kept both to reuse in the future. Both the toast and the home fries did not come with condiments but that was fine, I had my own jam and truff sauce. You really get a nice size omelet and they put a lot of cheese in it. I have been both a server and manager at various restaurants, so I can understand when business exceeds projections leaving you short staffed and having to work with higher levels of TPS, but Alisha expressed no sympathy for the exceptionally slow service. She never checked in to give us an update or even apologized once when our food took over 30 minutes. This was after we had to wait over 10 minutes to even place our order. Instead, she just blamed it on the kitchen being short staffed. She also just came across as rude and unwelcoming. This place was pretty good! I came in early (7am) on a Saturday morning. There was a slow, but steady stream of customers coming in every couple minutes. Everything looked & smelled clean in the restaurant. I was seated within a minute or two, & the host asked if I would like anything to drink while I waited for the server. The server came within 5 minutes, & double checked if I still wanted water to drink. She was pretty quick to deliver. When she came back, I already knew what I wanted so I could expedite the service. The service: - The server was friendly. She looked to be advanced in her years, frail looking, but was constantly moving. - they must have been short staffed because it was just her & the hostess working (that I saw). The food: The food I ordered (1 meat omelette with a side of sausage links) took 20-25 minutes to crank out, which was surprising because I didn't order any other sides & the omelette looked like a regular cheese omelette that they had just thrown warm toppings into the center. I can't believe I've passed this gem so many times and have never been! I always imagined it to be comparable to an old school Shoney's, I was pleasantly surprised. First let me say I appreciate Bob Evans for the free Veterans Day breakfast. The food was delicious, the service, not so much. But I overlooked it because of the numbers of people. This past week we went back. I ordered my favorite, Chicken Pot Pie. The server said it is no longer on the menu. What a shame. It was the best thing they sold. So I ordered Chicken Fried Steak. The "steak" was breaded super thin something. Horrible, had better in school cafeteria. My wife's plate included fries. The filling applied to Veterans Day as well. We finally saw our meal put in the window. No one checked it. Even our server. Finally after a long time three servers got involved in a pretty lengthy conversation just outside the kitchen window, still not checking the orders. By the time our food was delivered it was cold. I am only giving a 2 star because when I place my order on 9/13/2024 (Order # 29615680384319489) I realized I made an error as this was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I called in and spoke to the gentleman (I do not remember his name) but he stated I would need to cancel and re-order so I was like ok I will just keep the order but if they would remove my double order of mashed potatoes and gravy and he said OK that would be fine and substitute it for broccoli. So, when I received my delivery at home; I still got the double order of mashed potatoes (which were good) but he told me he would give me the broccoli :( When my husband went to eat his lemon garlic chicken it was undercooked :( So I had to go and pan fry it more. Then when I asked my husband for the pie" Guess What" NO Pumpkin Pie. I can say my chopped steak was good and the potatoes was good but for the chicken to be under cooked and me having to re-cook that is a discouragement from ordering food from here again. We went early today (8:30 am on a Sunday) and the visit was pretty shoddy. We ordered eggs, meat & bread with a side of hashbrowns. The sausage showed why Bob Evans built a sausage empire. It was excellent, as was the bacon. As for the eggs, I ordered over easy, got over medium. The wife, over medium and got over hard. The hash browns were barely browned on one side, everything underneath was uncooked on the griddle. Her biscuit was great, fluffy and moist. My rye toast appeared to have been spared the toaster. As for the service, the wife had to shout down the waitress for a refill on coffee prior to the food arriving, and after the food arrived, she avoided our table until it was time for the bill, which is a shame as we ate the 2nd half of our meal with an empty water glass and coffee mug. This was additionally annoying as we saw her check on the tables closer to the kitchen over and over. We expected a better experience in a half empty restaurant prior to the post-church rush. However, the hospitality stopped there. Our waitress acted like we were bothering her. Was not very friendly at all. Didn't even introduce herself. When she brought our food she had to make 2 trips and didn't say anything. Had she put the plates down any more forcefully, we would have ended up with sauces on us. We had to flag her down for more drinks and to order a coffee. Do not order the biscuits and gravy unless you specify white gravy. The gravy that was served with was the nastiest beef stock gravy with chunks of ground meat in it. The salt was so overpowering it could shrivel a snail. By far the grossest gravy we have ever been served. When my mom questioned the gravy the server rolled her eyes and got her the white gravy. Mind you, my daughters chicken fried chicken came with white gravy or we would not have even known they had any. Waited close to an hour for a table for 4 and when we were brought to our table HALF of the tables in the restaurant we're NOT occupied. We were told that they were limiting seating due to not enough employees... Took us another 45 minutes to get what we ordered which was cold, not even warm. Paid the check and WON'T ever be back to a Bob Evans ever again. Bob Evans has always been a family restaurant. Good prices and food. I ordered the Omelet subpar. My neighbor ordered the roast beef for dinner and it looked like a lunch portion. My wife ordered the chicken breast which she enjoyed. I thought the server was alittle juvenile. "You, what do you want" and said this to all 3 of us. In a service industry it is about the customer and customer experience. Bob Evans did have red Sangria which I partook in. I'm from Ohio. Not from just anywhere specific but a rural area in the southeast side of the state near Gallipolis/Rio Grande where Bob and Jewel Evans began their destiny. Coming to this restaurant brings back many fond memories. My Mum stopped by every week at the one in Athens OH after getting her hair done before driving the 15 miles home. She always ordered the same thing and wanted her coffee black and very hot. I come back for comfort food. My favorite is turkey and dressing as we normally only have it once or twice a year. Sherry is the hostess/cashier and a sweetheart. She runs all over with a smile on her face no matter how impatient some customers become. She alone is worth the visit. Update: I went by yesterday and was disappointed in the roll downgrade. Far from a yeasty fresh baked roll they switched to something small and squashed that even Walmart would not sell. read more

We opted to pre-order the Easter dinner (ham) for our meal this weekend. Truth: I can't remember the last time I frequented a Bob Evans and have never visited this one previously. It's just one of those restaurants that doesn't stick in my brain, although as I recall the ones I've visited in the past have been pretty solid for quality and no frills dining. The online ordering was super easy, the price was hard to beat for everything included (and I mean everything!). We did Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving last year and still had to add a few sides and dessert to the main meal. Pickup was a breeze! You call when you pull in; they have special designated spots for curbside so you don't even have to go in. They schedule you, so there is no line (cough cough honey baked ham store ). They brought the food out in a giant, quality box. The person who brought it out (did not catch her name) was masked (yay!) and super sweet and helpful. Everything was packaged well and reheating was super easy with the included instructions! (Although it made me scratch my head and laugh a bit that they have you reheat the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese in the oven but the dressing/stuffing in the microwave...didn't matter, it worked!) The food was delicious and everyone agreed! The corn wasn't super flavorful, so my husband did prefer Cracker Barrel for that. We actually added the peanut butter pie because my husband isn't a fan of cherries (cherry pie was included) and that was to. die. for! Highly recommend! Even with the additions, it came out to just over $100 to for a meal they specify as serving 8-10 (but it was A LOT of food so even with that many there'd be leftovers...we had a lot of leftovers for our family of 7). My wife and I were here today for breakfast. My wife ordered biscuits and gravy and I ordered two scrambled eggs with sausage links and home fries. My wife's meal wasn't hot, she had to request the gravy to be reheated. My meal wasn't hot, the eggs were dry not hot and the home fries weren't cooked through. It's supposed to be curbside pick up but was told "it's not happening". When I called the number no answer. Inside the store they couldn't find my receipt and was just told to go at the back of the store to pick up my order. The photo is how it looks like at the back of the store. The orders were not ready!!! The whole point of ordering is to save time. But no we've been standing here for more than 30mins. The line Barely moved because there's only two employees working.
