    Roast beef sammich and cornbread
    Kelly F.

I found this place from RI food fights. Amazing roast beef sandwich and corn bread. The owner is a retired firefighter with a passion for smoking meats and barbecue. The business is owned and ran by himself and wife. It's very small but a great place for takeout. The sauce on the sandwich had just enough spice and the cornbread was fresh and delicious. I hear the wings are the best. I'm dying to back back with my husband to try them!

Stop#15 on RI FOOD FIGHTS 11th Annual BIG Burger Blowout!!! These guys won judges choice best wings 2021 and 2022 and Peoples Choice 2024 Lord of the Wings! His offering for the burger competition this year is a Brisket & Cheddar topped Smashed Burger w/a sweet BBQ Sauce...DELICIOUS!!! can't wait to go back and try some more of their offerings. Now I know the location and the hours.

Wings were fantastic! Ribs were OK, and Mac was pretty good. Owner knows how to smoke and very enthusiastic about his recipes. Will be back!

This restaurant is in an unassuming house that I even got lost when I was originally looking for it. Turns out, you just have to find the house with the 51 on top of the door! The patio is covered and quite a nice space. We all got drinks and I have to say - their bartender impressed me for sure. I was working that night so I couldn't drink any alcohol, but I told my waiter what kind of flavors I would want in a mocktail and the bartender whipped up something extremely delicious and very fitting for me which made me happy! As for food, the spicy chicken impressed me with the spice. Normally I can handle a good amount but this was very spicy, but in a great way. Fries were also good. Would definitely come back for drinks and light dinner with friends! Parking is on the street. Patio has good vibes :)

Parking is all street, and the restaurant itself is tucked into the neighborhood without much signage--look for the big door with "51" overhead so you don't miss it. Drinks were a highlight: punchy, strong, and super refreshing--exactly the kind of cocktails that make you want to linger a little longer. My girlfriend wanted a mocktail since she was working that night, but didn't know exactly what she wanted. She asked for fruity, refreshing, and sour - and they whipped up a custom mocktail and truly delivered! Pretty good prices too. Waitstaff was awesome and bartender knows what they're doing. Food-wise, I'd definitely recommend the fries (crispy and addictive), the chicken (go for spicy if you can handle heat--it's legit but balanced), and the dahl, which was comforting and flavorful. The crudo was refreshing but portion-wise a bit on the smaller side, so I'd probably skip that next time. Overall, really enjoyed the vibe here--chill, modern, and it would make a really cute date spot. Would definitely come back for the drinks and small plates.

Fell for the consum"ay" with the burria tacos 2nd visit, tacos were a sloppy greasy mess. Burria tacos tasted old and reheated, fried avocado tacos were gross, The drinks, we were not forewarned that a double means you pay double the price for a drink. Bill went from affordable to overpriced. To be honest, this place doesn't serve authentic tacos. It's one of those taco places that invents greasy messy (mac and cheese topped everything pun) tacos and I think they should serve a basic good fresh street taco that isn't dependent on some greasy add ons to try to be clever. Probably won't be back. Thanks

But here are some of my honest opinions: Likes: - staff was great! Super nice and friendly. I gave an extra star mainly for them. - the Queso fries were good - the birra tacos were good but just a bit on the salty side. - the atmosphere looked cool Dislikes: - The boom boom crispy shrimp tacos- I don't enjoy lettuce in tacos and they loaded it with way too much sauce. It felt drenched so I couldn't really finish it. - Nashville hot fried chicken tacos- again too much lettuce and way too much sauce which seemed like sour cream. The chicken wasn't crispy and the taste was just ok. - and avocado tacos- way too much mayo all over this taco. It was overbearing. Might work for some people but not for me. - the smell of the unfinished wood was a bit too strong for my senses. Im always open to trying new taco spots and I hope they keep improving.

I've seen on social media that people complained about the new location having mainly street parking - we both found parking easily on the street - quit yer b*tchin' people lol. Besides I believe they have a lot behind the restaurant that we didn't have to use but it's there if needed. We were the only ones there when we first walked in but more patrons came in as the night went on. Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. Absolutely will return!

They're building and parking lot were maintained very nicely. Everything was very clean and plenty of parking. Luckily, there was a perfect corner of the bar had just opened & we grabbed the seats. The atmosphere was convivial, upbeat & super comfortable, despite the crowd. Service was fabulously friendly & competent - the bartender handling the packed house with ease. We decided to go with an array of small plates to try as much as possible. The menu it designed perfectly for grazing & the prices are super reasonable! The selections are definitely on the comfort-food side with a strong southern hint. Ingredients are often locally sourced - something I greatly admire. We began with the a small plate of Pimento Cheese Toast. Just a few bites each but a nice start. Duck Drumettes. The horseradish-y white sauce was delectable! Even my non-duck loving partner was blown away. I was happy to hear that the salad was available in a half portion - enough for a light fresh break to our heavy selections. Next came a much heavier choice - the gravy fries with duck confit. We left off the cheese, but it wasn't missed at all. These were decadent, delicious & super filling! Next time we'd get a half portion - that would have been plenty! Our final dish was the Shrimp & Grits, but we'd already filled up on the other dishes & ended up asking for this to go. Even reheated, it was a perfectly delicious accompaniment to our brunch the next day! I'd be tempted to order this to-go again for just that purpose. While we didn't imbibe, the cocktail list looked wonderful & the bar was very well stocked. We did enjoy a nice selection from the interesting beer list. The sandwiches that we saw come out looked delicious & huge! We'd love to try them as well. We will be back - this is certainly a new favorite for us!
