Last October 02, 2024 I purchased a pre-owned 2019 GMC Denali from their now closed Honda Dealership, its has been 7 months and still no title, I have no way to register the vehicle. This has been 7 months, I am an out of state buyer and they never sent the sales tax to my home state of SC that they collected and they never sent the plate transfer fee to my home state of SC. I cannot register the vehicle, they have 3 or 4 lawsuits pending against them for all kinds of illegal activities. This dealership and anything associated with the name Kelly Grimley should be avoided at all costs. Everyone at that dealership should be arrested, charged and convicted of the crimes they are all committing , GOOGLE search all the lawsuits against them and all the customers they scammed. I have traded in my KIA Forte for a KIA soul on 1/11/2025 and Kelly Grimsley has not payoff our 2024 Forte. I'm 70 year old and I can't effort to be paying for 2 cars. I purchased a 2025 Honda in October 2024. To date, they have not submitted paperwork for license plates to Texas DMV. I have file a complaint and have a pending case with the DMV office. Have also made multiple attempts to contact Kelly Grimsley and cannot speak to anyone as I get transferred and eventually get disconnected. The main number 432-332-0441 does not allow for voicemail messages. Have also reached out via FB and the only response I get is to come into the office and they will print out a replacement. I live out of town and this will cause an inconvenience. The response and lack of urgency on their part has made the car buying experience from this dealership a nightmare. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Traded in my car on 1/11/25 and bought a new Kia. It has been almost three months and my trade in is still not paid off, which is affecting my credit score. My new Kia is not registered and does not have new license plates. We have called and gotten nowhere with the Finance Manager Mark Marin, who is rude and tells us the payoff people are busy. We have emailed the sales manager multiple times, and he says its being taken care of or he's letting the general manager know. In the meantime, nothing has been done, and weeks have gone by. Apparently it takes 3 months (and still counting) to diagnose a missing ignition switch. You know... the thing you put the key in to start the car... well it's missing and they can't seem to figure it out. First, their "only" advisor quit. Then all three of their advisors quit. I guess a hole in the side of the steering column was to much for them. Or maybe, it reminded them of their home life where there are other holes they can't find, and their vehicles are always asking them if the key is in yet. We took my car in AGAIN to discuss damage/sloppiness by this dealer's service dept. We were pretty much told we were liars, and "Kevin" had an excuse for everything we pointed out. Now we've been treated even MORE disrespectfully by this dealership! KG says they pride themselves on going "above the bar" in customer service - we think not. Our experiences have been way BELOW the bar and we'd LOVE to know how they plan on fixing this since the conversation with Kevin went nowhere and ended abruptly when he said, "See you in August!" I am not bashing this company I am only stating the facts. I live in Houston and called this auto company to inquire about a vehicle they had in stock. I have never bought a car from out of town before and wanted as much information as I could. I viewed the car online and noticed it had a cold air induction kit installed. the car I was looking at was a sports car so I wanted to know if it had any modifications, which isn't a problem I just need to know. I asked the sales girl if the car had any modifications and she stated that "it doesn't have any modifications." well I can see in the picture that it does. First red flag. it was also debagged and rebadged from Chevy to Holden. I asked about that as well and the only answer I got was "it is stock". I was very disappointed that I was speaking to someone who is trying to sell me a 30,000 dollar vehicle and they have no idea what they are selling. she asked for my personal information while I was inquiring about the car, which I saw no need for. I informed her I was being financed through my credit union. then this is the weird part. she informed me that " needed to give her my social security number so she can write up a document to give to my credit union." I then said "why do you need my social" and very unprofessionally she said "how am I supposed to get this document to your insurance?" I then stated 3 times. I have already had spoken to my credit union I do NOT want you to pull my credit for any reason." I asked her again in a pretty blunt way "are you going to pull my credit if I give you this information" she said "NO." there's no miscommunication there so I obliged to give her my information despite my gut feeling. OK now back to getting more information about this vehicle and as I am on the phone with her I get 3 notifications from my credit monitoring company that have 3 hard pulls on my credit, one from us bank one from another bank and one from Kelley Grimsley...... you got to be kidding me.. before I could confront her she said "if I can get you a better interest rate would you finance through one of our banks." I then stated "you just pulled my credit" and she flat out said "no I didn't" complete lie. she pulled my credit while I was on the phone with her immediately after we were in agreement to not pull my credit, and then proceeded to lie about it. I was so disappointed. I felt betrayed and there was absolutely no way I could do business with this person, especially buying a vehicle out of town I needed to feel reassured I could trust the person I'm doing business with. I have a feeling this is not the kind of business Kelly Grimsley would want. I told the sales woman that I didn't feel comfortable making a deal on this vehicle with her and I hung up. The next day the woman called back apologizing for her actions. she was sincere and I do admire that. she said she did pull my credit and was very sorry for it. she then asked if I would still like to work with her on this vehicle. I said I appreciate your apology and ill give it another shot. I asked her again about the engine modifications and she again told me it had no modifications (I can physically see it has modifications.) and that the vehicle was hail damaged. that is something that should have been written on the website and told to me the day before while I was inquiring about the vehicle. I asked her to send me pictures of the hail damage. she said she would and that she will call me back after she sent the pictures. 10 minutes later I get a video clip of them revving the engine...... I'm speechless at this point. I felt almost insulted. haha yes I know what a v8 sounds like you don't have to send me a video clip of you revving the car as a way to entice me to buy it. it was insulting. I never got a call back or pictures of the damage. I tried to leave feelings out of this review and just state facts. and I hope this isn't the normal practice of this facility. I know the power of online reviews and I'm trying to give Kelly Grimsley the benefit of the doubt and hopefully if this is not the normal practice that they can be aware of a rogue employee that needs to be retrained. read more

If I can give this place zero stars I would! We bought a vehicle from KG, a few months later it needed some work. They picked up the car and fixed it, then they went out to test drive it and they were wrecked into. Car was totaled in their possession. I was called to go in and talk to one of the Grimsley guys but instead he asked a sales person to help me get another vehicle. They wanted me to get another vehicle without even knowing 100% that the other car was going to be totaled by the insurance. They also refused to give us a loaner in the mean time. The finance guy even suggested I buy the new car and if the insurance didn't total my wrecked one, just to let it go and basically ruin my credit. Like who advices that to anyone??? They never once try to make it right. Wanted us to buy a car we didn't want and pay more for it. I had to get mean to get them to loan us a car. I finally gave them their car back and bought a car at All American instead. They didn't deserve my business. Never again KG! I bought from you 3 times and sent my dad who bought from you 2 times. After having a bad experience with Cadillac in midland, I decided to give Odessa a try. The DVD player in my escalade wasn't working so I called to make an appointment. They wanted me to drop off my vehicle, I have 2 kids and can't just drop off my car. Apparently my issue is not important to them because they wouldn't give me a loaner unless they had to keep my car over night. 2 weeks later I go in and luckily they didn't take long to figure out what the problem was but they tell me they're gonna order the part and when it comes in, I need to drop off my car because it could take all day! And again they won't give me a loaner car. I can't believe these people don't try to work with their costumers considering how expensive Cadillacs are. read more

I'm rather surprised that Mr. G reports he is shocked at the negative reviews. The only positive review was from someone who bought elsewhere because he found the "sales force more trustworthy." I made the mistake of purchasing from KG twice. Never again. Because my credit was less than stellar, they pressured me first into buying a different car than I wanted, and then the pressure went to even higher levels when I met with the finance people. There is nothing I would recommend about this dealership except to say, STAY AWAY. They are all about making the sale, nothing about customer service. Took my car in last weekend to get it roadworthy for a long trip. Stephen is my service guy and took great care of me. Again, when I came back to pay for the job he said they did the oil change for free even though it was a $60 synthetic job. He told me the transmission fluid was fine even though I suggested they change it. Geez, never heard a service guy be quite so honest. These guys continue to win my confidence on a regular basis. Hopefully my car will last another 200,000 miles and probably will with as good of care of they take up mye. Kia's are great cars and since finding Grimsley my next car will probably be a Kia just so I can keep these guys as my service people. Not to mention I love the new Kia Optimas. I'll never need to worry about service again. Check them out. You won't be disappointed. I read that one bad review below and all I got to say is I don't believe a word of it. There's always one. I wrote a review a while back regarding A 2007 Kia I took in for service with 103 thousand miles on it. It has been a while and the car seems to be running well. The only problem I'm having is the check engine light keeps coming on. They thought they had fixed it once but it came on again recently and I'm going to have to take it back in...I honestly think it's just a quirk in the car and not a lack of good service. The previous mechanic with a different outfit said to just ignore it as it was just a glitch and there was actually nothing wrong with the car. Regardless, again, I'm not dissatisfied with the service yet. I liked Steven, the service guy I spoke with, very much and he seemed very knowledgeable. I will follow up again with another review when a little more time has gone by and I see how the repairs are holding up. But I would recommend these guys. As with all dealerships though, they are relatively pricey. But I am beginning to feel I can trust their work and the peace of mind is worth a little extra.. Just got back from taking my car in for the "check engine" light. It turns out it probably came on because I had over shot my oil change schedule. Regardless, the light is off and when I went in to pay my bill for the synthetic oil and filter change (which generally ran me as much is $75 at other places) Steven told me he had taken care of it. I don't know why they didn't charge me. I believe it was probably just a courtesy because I'm giving them business and he knows I have to drive 160 miles round-trip to see them. I loved my experience! Ji'Bri Smith was the salesman that helped me and he was honest and helpful. Fabian in the financing department was also very helpful and knowledgeable. He broke down everything and had answers to all of our questions. I am taking my car back today to see if they will fix the seal around my windshield because it makes a whistling noise. Here is a timeline of our negative experiences with Kelly Grimsley Honda (KGH) over the last 2.5 years that we have lived in the Permian Basin: 2/24/10 Replaced leaking radiator on our CR-V. The next day I discovered a puddle of coolant under the car and found the coolant level to be low in the radiator. Returned to KGH. Service advisor agreed that it looked to be leaking (it was dripping on their floor). No techs (Saturday), so he topped it off and made a note that we would bring it in Monday. 2/26/10 Wife took CR-V in. They told her it was not leaking; the dripping coolant was just from spilt coolant and that it had just not been filled up all the way when the work was done (scary). Once they determined it wasn't leaking, Joe Reyes (service manager at the time) was very rude with my wife. 12/30/11 Wife and I took both of our cars for oil changes. While waiting a person came to refill the vending machines (separate company). An employee came out of a back office and confronted him about the machine being out of powdered donuts. We thought she was joking with him at first. She wasn't. It became very heated. He was trying to explain to her that he just fills what is on the order, and they weren't (he was trying to show her the invoice). He called his boss and tried to hand his cell phone to her so she could talk directly with him, but she used her office door to push him away and locked it behind her. 100% crazy. We reported what we witnessed to the manager. Also noticed on this visit that a salesman was wearing a Ferrari shirt. Not that Honda and Ferrari are competitors, but I still found it odd to be promoting another automobile maker. 1/5/12 Called to get radio code. KGH wanted $50 for it. I already had the serial number from the back of the radio; all they have to do is punch a few numbers into the computer. Honda of Midland wanted $20. Called my former Honda dealer (from where I last lived) and they gave it to me over the phone. Their service was fantastic. Kelly Grimsley could take a lesson. 2/4/12 Took my newly purchased s2000 in for an oil change and was charged for oil even though I brought my own. Didn't realize it until after the fact. 3/4/12 found I puddle of oil under wife's CR-V. Checked dipstick and found it to be overfilled! Oil level was as far past full line as the distance between fill and full. Raised car on jack stands and found oil pan to be coated (looked like its seal was leaking). I checked my receipts and found that on some visits I was charged for 4 quarts and others 5 (this engine holds 4). Did research on potential damage caused by overfill: The increased pressure can cause seals to leak (like it was doing). With too much oil the crank shaft is constantly sitting in oil. The crank whips air into the oil which changes the viscosity of the oil. The oil pump struggles to circulate the aerated oil; this means the upper parts of the engine can actually suffer oil depletion (and what oil does make it to the upper parts doesn't protect as well as it should thanks to all the air bubbles suspended in it). 3/5/12 Took the day off work to deal with issue. Returned it to KGH. They called after about 1.5 hours to say that it was slightly overfilled, but they take no responsibility for the leaks. I immediately went to talk in person. They put it back on the lift (I told them I had already looked under it) and proceeded to attempt to convince me that overfilling with oil isn't that big of a deal (it won't cause damage). They tried to argue that air bubbles in the oil don't change the viscosity. They never could give me a reason for why it was so overfilled. Service manager told me that everything I had read online was a lie. During the conversation they went back and forth saying that this engine holds 4.2 and 4.5 quarts.....it holds 4! It was apparent I wasn't getting anywhere with them. We left and went straight to Honda of Midland (HM). They looked at it and confirmed some oil seepage. Of course they were going to tell me that KGH with in the wrong, but everything they said about the situation jived with my own research. They said to just keep a close eye on it. Hopefully the oil leaks will stop on their own now that the oil level is reduced....that said; they could have done permanent damage to the engine. Time will tell. Needless to say, we will never be back. We will give HM a try. At least they were much nicer and more professional. I have always had positive experiences with my Honda dealers (4 before KGH), hopefully Honda of Midland can pick up the ball dropped by Kelly Grimsley Honda (I'll be sure to review them at some point). read more
