Dr. Lam's office and staff is simply the very BEST! I see Dr. Kim when I'm there usually and he's fantastic! The dental assistants are all terrific and they really make exams and procedures very relaxing. I've had to change my appointment a few times and the front office staff was extremely accommodating. On the day of my appointment, I told what to expect every step of the way. Dr. Lam was great at explaining both visually and verbally the work I would need to get done. Cathy, I believe that's her name, was very transparent on how much everything would cost me, I was even provided with a printout of my options. It took me a while to find a good dentist and I'm glad I went to Dr. Lam's office. I plan on continuing my dental care here. read more

I decided to go with this dentist after reading the reviews however my initial experience with this dentist wad a huge disappointment. I had my initial consultation with Dr Lam who said that I had a deep cavity that needed to get filled so I scheduled an appointment for that. Mind you I didn't have any sensitivity or pain with this tooth. During the process of drilling my cavity down, in the middle of the procedure Dr Kim says that he would have the dental practitioner take over and comments she's qualified. It was sprung on me mid procedure and I have never had a dentist just leave mid way in the procedure to take care of another patient and entrust the work to be done by the dental practitioner alone. That worried me that the procedure would not be done well. Well, come to find out not long after the procedure had been done that I felt sensitivity and something was not right with that tooth. I ended up making a follow up visit to check on the tooth bc the sensitivity was more perverse. Having to take another set of x-ray the results came back that there was quite a large margin gap between the tooth so there wasn't even enough dental composite provided and I ended up having a fracture on that tooth. I did not have a fracture prior. This tooth was not well done and for Dr Kim to entrust this type of procedure to a dental practitioner to do it all on her own is nuts! He literally had to redo my tooth and the procedure was extensive enough that he needed secondary staff to help out. Although the dentist did the procedure this time, if quality care was provided to the patient there would not have been a follow up needed. In my procedure considering that it was close to the nerve, the procedure was not a minor cavity. Looking at the considerable gap i had after the x-ray, it seems like it was done by inexperienced staff. I think it was poor judgment on the dentist to not finish the job and hand it off to somebody else to complete the procedure alone. Furthermore, during the administration of lidocaine shots, he was not gentle at all and I ended up feeling the first pinch. I definitely had experience with other dentists that were way more gentler and even during the drilling it felt aggressive! I don't recommend this place at all because of the poor bedside manner displayed from Dr Kim!! Beware of this place because you won't see the dentists doing the procedures themselves they just throw it to their trainee staff. They only care about the quantity of patients in and out their door more than providing quality work to patients. It's been months and I still have sensitivity on that tooth!! Overall, regret stepping foot into this business!! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Dr.Lam and her amazing staff! I have hereditary receding gum line which causes sensitivity and I'm always anxious and scared to go for my teeth cleaning treatments (they always hurt one way or another at other dental office no matter how "gently" they do it) but here, the oral hygienist is very mindful about my teeth condition and she'd do 90% of cleaning manually to avoid the pain/sensitivity caused by the electronic drilling. The cleaning process went from a much dreaded journey to an actually enjoyable one, something that I now look forward to getting done! Also, I just got my 2 front teeth crowns placed yesterday and they look perfect. You have to look at the before/after photo to understand my appreciation for Dr.Lam and her staff Silvia's work. My previous crown has been there for 10+years and the previous dentist for whatever reason used a purple colored post (I didn't have any of these knowledge until explained by Dr.Lam) under the crown and after my invisalign treatment, the post was exposed and makes my front teeth (which are extremely important in terms of aesthetics) look like they are gangrened and on the verge of falling off! I lost confidence in my smile until the new crowns were placed. Silvia took her time to mold them repeatedly from different angles just to make sure the crowns were the right fit and Dr.Lam did the final inspection before cementing them permanently. I do not recall my previous dentist doing these detailed work, which is why my previous crown was uneven compared to the rest of my teeth, it protruded outward and the root color was purple/black. I can't stop smiling to show off my teeth because they are as beautiful as they can be given my existing condition.
