I hired this company through my place of work. I was told by multiple different people that they had worked with this company before...yet they asked questions about the process for getting paid, the time it would take to be paid, how they would get paid. Since the company is a university, there is a process, and the companies normally do not get paid until after the services have been rendered; they said they would have to charge an extra fee because of the "same-day delivery" and delayed booking. We had been in the process of onboarding them into the system for a week at this point, and they had even completed the onboarding paperwork... They try to charge extra fees for everything (even if it's something that doesn't pertain to your actual event needs). When the items arrived they were extremely low quality: to of the tablecloths didn't arrive, and one of the tables arrived broken. ALL of the cocktail tables were wobbly and had to be finagled to be somewhat stable (lots of paper folded and put under the legs of the tables). I let them know about the tablecloths and they said they could send someone out with them but that he would arrive after the event started. That option was declined. I was told that HR would be reaching out about the tablecloths- the event was Thursday and that hasn't happened yet. Even though contact before the event occurred daily via phone calls, texts, and emails. Would not use this company again. P.S. they give people discounts if they take pictures of the events and email them to the company. read more

We booked rental for 100 chairs about a month in advance of our event. In the contact they sent me that I signed it stated a 6 hour delivery window, in order to shorten that to a 4-hour window I paid an extra fee. The contract and the rep I talked to clearly stated I would get an hour "heads up" so we could get to the facility and be there for the delivery. It was a rental space so no-one could be there the entire 4 hours (from 8AM - 12PM). After not hearing anything by 10:30 I went ahead and drove the 30 minutes from my home to be there. I called at 11 and was taold I would get a call back and never did. So I called again at 11:30 and was told "the driver will be there in 10 minutes"... so thankfully I had already driven there. It happened again 3 days later when I was supposed to get an hour notification per the contract and I had to call them, then was told they would be at the venue in 15 minutes. Again, I had already driven to venue for fear of missing them and based on the experience I already had. Bottom line - They didn't adhere to the details stated in their contract and the made it clear they were no interested in respecting my time and keep me in the dark as to when they would show up. No apology and I even requested a refund of the extra fee I paid in light of the time I wasted and Kelly rental not upholding their commitment clearly stated in the contract. My family and I have never been more disappointed in any business as much as we are with Kelly's Rental- We made reservations to rent table and chairs for my daughter's wedding, 24 hrs after making the reservation, the house where the wedding was supposed to be held at burned down. Obviously we hade to find a new venue, when we called Kelly's to cancel the table and chairs, they refused to give us a refund. All they would do is issue us a credit. That would be great but we live in Oregon and the rental place is in Texas, so using this credit would not be possible. They refused. I understand if we would of canceled right before our wedding, but it was only 24hrs after making the reservation. I have never had such terrible customer service! We rented 75 tables and 500 chairs for an outdoor event on Monday. I spoke with the staff multiple times the week prior to ensure they would be delivered in plenty of time for a 5pm start. At 2:00, they still had not arrived, which was the LATEST they said they would be delivered. At 2:30, 3 trucks finally showed up, leaving us only 2 hours to get them all off the trucks and set up before people started arriving at 4:45. They said "it was a big order" and they had to pick up from different locations. OK fine - I get that. But they should have told me it was going to be an issue much earlier so we could have made different arrangements, like having them delivered a day earlier. They said they would be picked up the next day (Tuesday), so we coordinated a big group to take down all the tables and chairs to be sure they were ready for pickup by 9am. Then I never heard another word, until I called at 5:00 and was told they wouldn't be picked up until the following day. This was a problem because they were in the way of our tennis facility, causing the courts to be unusable. FINALLY, on Wednesday, they were picked up around noon. Overall, the communication was TERRIBLE. I always had to call first - no one communicated proactively. There were multiple times I was disconnected with some sort of error message. I also went to a full voice mailbox a couple of times. I expected some sort of refund/credit for missing the delivery/pickup dates, but I've received nothing. read more

The driver was 2 hours late, they said he had van troubles but I think it was the fact that the driver had no help with all the deliveries he had that day. When he finally arrived after my event started me and my guest had to help with set up. When I reached out to get compensated for the lost hour of my rental, they refused and only offered 20% off my future rental which I will not be using. I rented a $165/day throne chair for my fathers 60th and was very dissatisfied and disappointed in the product that was handed over to me. The chair was very unstable, was cracked and broken in numerous places, but covered up with paint. There were also missing nailheads, rub marks and dirt marks throughout the white leather chair. You can rent a car for half that price, which is ridiculous, especially considering the condition it was in. To make matters worse, when attempting to return the chair to the frisco location no one was available. Their building was unlocked and open, but no one was there. I was later instructed to just leave the chair outside of the building. I have plenty of pics but are unable to post them for whatever reason. If you are looking for party rentals, I would advise you to look past this place. read more

I ordered tables and chairs from Kelly Rentals one week before my event. I put a 50% deposit down and two days later they called to collect the remaining balance. On THE MORNING OF MY SCHEDULED DELIVERY I received a text message from Kelly Rentals saying they did not have the table size I ordered and that they would like to sub a smaller size. Then, when they arrived at my house with the delivery, they told me that they "upgraded" me to white chairs.......and did not bring the black chairs that I ordered. I asked them to bring me black chairs and they told me they would.....but they left the white ones and never delivered the black. No one would answer my calls or texts and no one called after the event to straighten things out. I had to literally create a yelp account to make a review of this company. Thats how unaccommodating they are. Kelly Rentals has turned me into my worst "Karen" Nightmare. I rented chairs and tables from this company for an upcoming birthday event. They were easy to rent from and pay for, but thats where the customer service stopped. After our household came down with Covid we were forced to make the sad decision to cancel the birthday party. I quickly contacted Kelly Rentals to cancel and requested a refund. Kelly Rentals refused to give us any form of refund on our purchase. I requested to speak to a manager (I know I hate myself for it) in order to explain that this was a big financial purchase for us, as we have not been able to work while sick with Covid 19. Their manager, Nancy, not only use a condescending tone when talking over me, but would only repetitively let me know that only store credit would be provide. I informed Nancy that we were not able to have the event and would not be rescheduling due to finances, to which she said there was absolutely nothing they could do even though there was LESS THAN 24 HOURS between purchase, positive testing, and cancellation. Here is my problem with Kelly Rentals and Manager Nancy. It's 2022. We are in the middle of a pandemic where we need to be more accommodating when things out of a customers control happen. How is there not a Covid policy in place that allows at least a percentage of the purchase to be refunded when proof of testing is provided? It's not like Kelly Rentals took a loss and had to purchase the 25 chairs and 8 tables just for our small event. Basically Nancy and her Kelly Rental posse just pocketed my $250 and then told me to kick rocks. Will this review get me a refund or even a percentage of a refund? Probably not. But will it make me feel better by causing them to lose them another $250 down the road after this is read? Why yes. Yes it will. I had great service in advance of my party, but unfortunately I can't say that I would ever use them again. There were a number of items on my order but the outdoor heater on a day when it was 42 degrees was a priority. It turns out it was malfunctioning. After 3 calls to tell them it was not user error and their tech confirming on pickup- I still had to make 3 additional calls before I was given assurance that the malfunction was documented and that I would definitely receive a credit for that item. The last associate with whom I spoke promised that I would get a callback from either an owner or senior manager within 2 days and the refund within 7-10 days. This was the 4th promise of a callback. I am very disappointed in this company. I used this company because of the great reviews but of course all of the reviews on their site are positive. The drop off was horrible in that an item was not delivered. I was told it would be delivered the same day. Then I was told it would be delivered on Saturday morning. By Saturday noon, no delivery. I called and was asked the time of my event, I said 6:30 pm. I was "guaranteed" that it would be delivered by 4.pm. Need less to say, the last item was delivered at 6:25 p.m, 5 minutes before the event. Some guests arrived early so we are doing the final set up with guests at the venue. Super embarrassing. Not to mention the amount of stress endured while waiting for the delivery and not being able to reach anyone on a Saturday afternoon. Two of the bar stools were so beat up and scratched that we had to hide them in the corner so the extremely worn chairs were not noticeable. I received a text to pick up the items on Sunday. I said yes. The items sat outside all day on Sunday and there was no pickup, causing us to relocate them in the garage for the night and pull them out again on Monday morning. WAY TOO MUCH WORK ON MY PART. I asked for a manager to contact me so I could discuss the issues. I never received a call. I then recevieved a text to find out how I liked the service. I relayed my disappointment regarding the issues and asked for a credit.......you guessed it.....no response. I had a wedding this Saturday. They were supposed to drop off 120 chairs and 20 cocktail tables on Friday between 9am-5pm. We waited until 4:45 to call just to check if someone was coming and they then said someone would be there by 6pm. So I said no problem. They didn't show until 8:30pm! And they only came with 20 chairs and 5 cocktail tables. The delivery driver didn't know there was supposed to be more! Someone else in another van didn't come until 1am! VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ok, so normally I don't write reviews but I'm starting to because maybe I can someone in the future. The guy that I spoke to originally for this company told me to go request a quote on the website. Once I did that, I called to verify to make sure I did it correctly. Order placed for a 6ft rectangle table & 15 folding chairs for an event I was hosting on Saturday. Event time was 12pm. Delivery time was 7am-12pm. Saturday came & it was 12....no chairs/tables. I had to call & the guy told me he would call the driver & call me right back. 20 mins later, no phone call. I had to call the guy AGAIN! He then said he just spoke to the driver & he was on his way. 30 mins later, still not there. They didn't arrive until after 1pm & the delivery guy sat outside in the truck for 5 mins stating he had to check in first. Whew! Then.....he left the table on the porch. Didn't bring it in....NOTHING! What make it worse is he had no sense of urgency at all! He was leaving, I had my daughter go back outside to ask could he show us how to set the table up, mind u it's 6ft!! Even if they charged extra for that, he could have at least showed us how to do it instead of leaving this huge table on my porch! The chairs were clean but the table was full of dirt! I had to go get a tablecloth to put over it because I wasn't going to clean something I didn't get dirty myself!! I literally had to call the company 3 times to even see where the driver was located. The sub floor was warped plywood that made the dance floor warped as well. Then the dance floor was delivered with missing pieces and we could not use it. We rented the white garden chairs for our outdoor wedding. They were pretty but these people could not care less about their job and are going to charge you extra for any little thing they can think of. We paid extra for same day pick up. They decided not to pick up until 3 days after the event (no refund). Charged extra to roll the stacked chairs an extra 100 yards to the wedding spot, and knocked over a sign I had made. I had my rehearsal dinner at 5:30 so even though that time frame is crazy vague so long as that was the case it would be fine. They made me pay in full before my event and gave me the worst service possible after they got their money. The sub flooring was damaged and they wouldn't do anything to fix it and then tried to only refund the sub flooring as if I was going to be able to use the actual floor(you can't on grass) after multiple times trying to get ahold of them I finally did and the women couldn't answer any questions couldn't tell where my stuff was or what happened to the floor or weather or not she could actually give me a refund. It was terrible this is supposed to be a meaningful event and these people couldn't care less about fixing any problem. After I had to get demand a refund for both the floor and the sub flooring. They tried to push back the delivery again! I had to manage these people because they can't seem to do it on their own. We rented a tent for Easter Sunday and I walked the a employee who showed up in White boxed truck and showed them where to put the tent at 9:30 p.m and then they put the tent in wrong place.The tent was schedule to be put up 7-5 They must of put the tent up about 1:00 am morning of. They were so late in putting up our tent and chairs out they called and said they would send photos and put our chairs out we rented. Kelly rentals tried to charge me a $50 reschedule fee that isn't even mentioned in their contract. Finally got them to agree to deliver between 12-2pm. I received a text the morning of from the delivery driver asking to deliver early after we had already discussed delivery time. While im the middle of my reception I receive another text at 8:17pm requesting to pickup early as the pick up driver had to work the next morning. I reached out to Kelly to address the situation and to request a refund for the delivery fee due to constant issues and was declined by their manager Danica through a TEXT MESSAGE. Never received a call back only a half ass apology. Beware of this company. They only want your money and after that they could care less about how they treat their customers. I was promised that the items would be to us by 12 pm latest as we were the ones who had to set them up for my wedding shower. By noon no one had arrived and we called both numbeRs we had repeatedly which went straight to voicemail. Finally around 1:30 Jesus showed up. One young guy to unload 60 chairs 8 tables and a tent. I watched as he struggled without a partner to unload the chairs which then fell all over the street. I sent my father to help him unload. After we brought everything to the backyard my dad had to help put up the tent which we'd paid for set up for. The tent was not provided any stakes for Jesus to anker it into the ground. We did too Jesus well as we felt bad he was sent alone for his deliveries which clearly need two people. All we had was a child's tent ankers and had to use those which weren't much help in the wind so we spent much of the party making sure the tent didn't fly away. After the party we took everything down and set it aside. That was Saturday and the items were to be picked up Monday by 5. It's now Wednesday and I've had to have them let themselves in my backyard alone because they weren't here on time again but this time came 2 days late for pick up.
