No. No. No. Kelly's Appliance Center is everything that is wrong with this business. The technician literally walked into my house, took a look at my washer, and assessed I needed a plumber. Fine, no problem. Then he proceeded to charge me $130 for the 30 seconds he was in my house. The man did not even touch his toolbox. How is this ok? I was not given a quote before he arrived and had no sense of what a NO WORK house visit would cost. When I called to complain, I was told that's not a lot of money, and I should read all the good review on here. Well, I have one sour one to throw in the lot because these guys are meatheads looking to make a buck for doing nothing. I would have been happy to pay for a visit, but to casually charge me $130 during the holidays for doing absolutely NADA is criminal and mean-spirited. Don't let these guys in your front door. RUN AWAY FROM THIS UNETHICAL DISHONEST BUSINESS!!!! Don't believe all the positive reviews he paid for. Owner Mark is a condescending jerk. If you like highway robbery you will love these bandits!!! It would be zero stars it that was an option! Called them to replace a fuse in dryer. Repair person arrived and did a 500 dollar gasket replacement on my washer then told me the me the cost only after he had torn off the old one! Seriously !$50 dollar part and 15 minutes of labor - 500 dollars! Then he turns to the Dryer fuse which was the main purpose of the service call and says he doesn't have the right part --- even though we specified when appt was made the exact model of Dryer and the problem. Worker says the Samsung fuse will be fine and he'll warranty for 90 days. I said ok because at that point what choice did I have??? Here the best part: at 98 days fuse is shot. Called owner mark and he wants to tell me the repair was made in march when in fact it was may as I had stated. And don't try to correct this guy with a fact, because he'll get all indignant and say well I was going to make it right but now I'm not... you know the way can artists and thieves always do.... I'm just getting started. Will be taking every legal action possible too. read more

Today a new, employee, Brian, with them just a year delivered excellent service. He was right on time in the begiining of a given 2 hr window and called in advance, Today pleasant, respectful and knowledgeable he went to work getting the broken belt on my old dryer replaced. Rather than try to sell me a newer dryer they likely had for sale he complimented me on the quality of my old Kenmore Mcahine and made suggestions on how to keep it kickiing! He reminded me that they had a 6 mo warentee on all of their work and that if I had any futher problems that they would come out and re-fix it. Can't help but wonder after our experience with Kelly's Appliance if the service quality has simply gone down now that they've secured such a strong standing on YELP or if our experience was just an anomaly. Our first experience with KA two years ago was good. The owner saved us a service call by talking us through using a blow dryer to melt ice that had formed in our evaporator fan after someone in the family left the freezer open. Two years later, the freezer was regularly developing a thick layer of ice and making a loud whirring noise, so we called Kelly's for service. We never received the requested courtesy call 30 min. before their visit (a two hour window had been scheduled). The technician exuded such a strong cigarette smell it filled the whole kitchen. He diagnosed a non-functioning evaporator fan and said he would order the part. After his visit, the refrigerator's digital panel started giving an error message indicating a malfunctioning evap fan and we noticed everything in the freezer defrosting and the fridge temp rising. We had not had this problem before his visit. Every three hours, we had to go down into our basement to flip the fridge fuse switch and reset the unit in an effort to save the food in our freezer and fridge. The fan that arrived the next day was the wrong part, and needed to be reordered (not clear whose fault this was and there was no apology to accompany this information). Three days after the first visit, I called to find out the status of our fan and when the tech would come out. The owner told me the fan was in but he thought the tech was on the schedule for the following day. I requested that he make us a priority, given that our problem had gotten worse from his technicians call, and, after a moment's pause, he flatly stated that he would send someone out that afternoon. A different tech came out to replace the fan and we're all set. Not sure why the owner couldn't apologize for what happened or offer any explanation. He didn't even seem to have the situation on his radar. Ultimately, I can only say I've had better service from other appliance company's and won't use Kelly's again. read more

Our Samsung fridge (less than 4 years old) started to form masses of ice in the works, which made the fan stop and, consequently, stopped working. I called Samsung and they couldn't (wouldn't) diagnose the problem until they saw it which would cost $129 for them to show up and who knows how much after the repair. Mark Kelly, the owner of Kelly's Appliance Center, knew exactly what the problem was without looking because this problem is so notorious that Samsung created a repair kit to solve this very issue. He gave us a quote of up to $400. Mark came over the next day with everything he knew he would need. He went straight to the problem and had our fridge running better than it ever had in about an hour. He waived the $100 diagnosis cost ( as he said he would) and charged us $288. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing business with these guys! They are honest and have great integrity which is the best that anyone could ask for when doing business. Thanks Mark!!! read more

Called Kelly's Applaince out to look at my 96 yr. old mother's dishwasher. Since I don't live in the area I let them know that the caregiver would be there. I also had Asien's Appliance out and I called Kelly's because I had a bad feeling about Asien's diagnoses and follow up (they never called right away and, after calling the service department and talking with Amanda, she couldn't tell me how much it would cost until the tech arrived the next day). A day and a half later I get a message from Asien's telling me that it will be $138 for a drain pump and $350+ for labor for a total of $506. About an hour later I get a call from Shane telling me he's 15 minutes out (Asien's never bothered with that). About an hour later Shane calls, says he checked it out and found a wire loose on the control board. Re-soldered it and checked out the pumps and said they were running strong. Total cost...$150. (I called Asien's back and told them how unhappy I was with what they did. I was put on hold for a "supervisor". After 5 minutes on hold I hung up. They knew who was calling but never bothered calling me back. The next day I noticed they had already cashed the check). If you have any problems with appliances CALL Kelly's. VERY honest, up front and a stand up company! read more

Called from their yelp rating. Unfortunately, after agreeing to their diagnostic charge he comes out & said that he is not that familiar/comfortable w/Samsung washers even though I mentioned I had one during initial call. He looked @ it, opened it up, but never took it apart or really tried which lead him to be unable to properly diagnose. After leaving he called & said he talked to a colleague & said the rods went bad. Since not impressed by his performance we ordered the rods, installed & it was still not working. Turned out after more investigation by my husband the lower bearing was out placed. After fixing we now have it working like before. Not only did I pay their fee but I was told 2 different fees & after bringing it to Steve attention of the $10 difference I was greeted with a gross attitude. Don't really feel they earned their diagnostic fee or confidence in their company. Wished they would have been more honest. read more

Our clothes dryer was not working (again) and I needed to find someone to repair it. We usually call Sears but I wasn't able to get an appointment, so I did an internet search and found Kelly's Appliance Center. The person who made the appointment was very courteous and friendly but did not mention the service fee (but I did ask if there was a fee and was told it was $80). I expected a service fee, it seems standard for all repair calls. Mark was great, he was able to diagnose and repair my dryer quickly. I would recommend and use Kelly's again. Four stars for not mentioning the service fee, otherwise I would have given 5. read more

My appliances are all getting pretty old like me--but they are only pushing 30 years. I had been having trouble with my Subzero for some time. Two different companies have worked on it to the point I was trying to figure out how to afford to fill a 4 foot hole in my kitchen. The first company was outrageously expensive BTW. In any case, Kelly's came out and the refrigerator now holds the cold just fine. Recently, my cooktop grill switch failed and ice makers in a bar fridge and the Subzero were having trouble working at all. These appliances are too old to find parts. Long story short, Charles was able to get them working again, saving me untold $'s and letting me start saving to be able to replace them eventually. (I gave up on a great Kitchenaid diswhasher and didn't have them work on it, just because it couldn't clean anymore when working and am happy I did.) Now my appliances are running and trying to figure out how to break sufficiently so Kelly's can't fix them. Kelly Appliances is batting 3 for 3. Plus, they helped me diagnose a problem for my kid's fridge 1000 miles away! read more
