Well my experience with them was not good. My new dishwasher…read morewas supposed to be delivered between 8 and 10 am this morning. I paid for delivery and haul away of old dishwasher. My old dishwasher was still working, but was making a lot of noise and was slowly dying. I removed my old dishwasher last night and had it sitting in my kitchen ready to be hauled away. At 8:15 am they called me and told me they accidentally sold my dishwasher to another customer, and now the don't have anymore. They apologized and said they might be able to deliver different in stock model soon if I wanted to change my order. I asked if soon, meant today. The sales person said probably not. We drove to their store, and looked at the other comparable dishwashers, but they all had features my wife did not like. So we asked how long to get another one of same model we had ordered. They said 1.5 to 2 weeks. I said, that since I didnt want to go 2 weeks without a dishwasher, I would have to re-install my old dying dishwasher and then remove it again in 2 weeks. What a PITA. I then asked for free delivery, install and haul away, since their F'up was costing a lot time and effort. The salesperson went to see if management would okay this request. Management did not. The best they would do was knock about $100 off their fees. I then canceled the order, and ordered from HD. With delivery and haul away included, it was about $60 less than Stover. Plus I could get it in 3 days. So, we got the model we wanted for less money and a much sooner delivery. So I'm not impressed with Stover's customer service, or really doing anything helpful after such a monumental F'up. I was specifically going with a local business because I thought they would have better customer service. I am very disappointed.

I just finished a 4 month remodel of two bathrooms. Home Depot service used to be great, special…read moreeven. Now it's awful. Many staff aren't informed about their job. They can't help you. A man in the paint department said he's not good at color. I asked if there was blue tint in the sample he was making and he said he didn't know and he didn't how to look it up. He said the color was pink and asked why I thought it had blue. I told him it looks purple. Nothing like the pink I asked him to make. Today I waited nearly 15 minutes in the paint department for someone to arrive. 10 of those minutes the phone was ringing non-stop across the way in customer service. I was calling to see if I could get help. I watched customer service standing around talking to one another, not answering the phone. So, I walked over and asked if there was someone who could help in the paint dept. They said someone would eventually come. I asked if he heard the phone ringing, He told me they don't even hear it anymore. I pointed at my phone and said the timer shows I've been calling for over 10 minutes trying to get help and there are 4 of you chatting here. I left it ringing a few more minutes until someone helped me in paint. I was calm and polite and so disappointed by what Home Depot is these days. I don't mind waiting, as needed, but no one is helpful. No one seems to care. I bought tile, flooring, paint, and so forth. I started driving to Lowes in Albany so I could get better help. I don't want to commute for this. My next project is a deck. I won't be working with Home Depot.

An employee was called to assist with cutting 3 simple 1x1.5in boards and was very snarky about it…read morefrom the beginning as if I had caused such an interruption in her day. She kept repeating that she could only cut feet off, which I repeatedly told her that I understood, and after unreasonable attitude from this employee, I asked where the handsaws would be in the store to purchase. Before informing, she repeated that she thought that hand sawing my rather thin boards was a BAD idea and would take a very long time--to which I replied that I had time. She kept repeating her opinion again and again before leading to an in-store handsaw station and recommending that I actually just buy completely different boards so that they didn't need to be cut. I told her that I already had the boards in hand which I DID WANT and she told me again that she could only cut off feet. I was tired of this interaction and just had her cut off a 1-foot section from two boards, and 2 feet from another. Only one of the 1-footers was actually 12 inches, the other was 30cm. I ended up purchasing my own hand saw for remaining cuts. My visit was otherwise fine, but I see no reason for this employee to give such attitude and snark to customer simply asking for boards to be cut--a service which Home Depot is supposed to provide with ease. The employee was a dark-haired woman with a ponytail... slightly older. The handsaw I purchase works great! A fantastic item to own so that I don't disrupt any more Home Depot employees by asking them to cut wood.

Based upon my conversation with him I'm confident that if he can repair an appliance he will tell you and give you his best price. He does work on Kenmore dryers but did not have the experience to deal with a dryer that stopped functioning associated with dryers steam dry function. Rather than charge me for coming to my home and try to diagnose and fix a specific problem we talked about a number of different alternatives including but not limited to purchasing a new dryer. The end result is that I'm going to look for a new dryer. If you're looking for an honest business to do work on your appliances at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Appliance Science.

There are so few good people in this town for any repairs or anything it's almost impossible to find anyone, but this is a rarity. He does do appliance repair, but not refrigerators. He does garbage disposals, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, and stoves and ranges. He is honest, he has incredible integrity, and even though he wasn't able to fix my machine because I need to get another one unfortunately. I had a Maytag/Whirlpool, which they are not any good anymore. He reminded me how wonderful speed queen is and I have those at my commercial building but had forgotten. I didn't know that they were available for a home so he really save me tremendously with that advice. I went out and got one right away. Can't wait till the dryer breaks so I can get a speed, queen and have a set!!! He also took time while he was here to explain how to use my fire extinguishers, and how to keep them up and check them each month, as well as cleaning out the filter on my dishwasher, which I was unaware of and discussing some other things with me. I cannot say enough great things about him. He reminds me of the people back home where we had a really great workers and hard workers. You will not find that here in this town. If you get this guy, you are lucky. I will always keep his number in my book and call him for anything in the future. He also recommended Roby's, which turned out really well for me and I'll be writing a review for them too.

A few years later, we converted a laundry room into a bathroom so returned to Kelly's to shop for a stackable washer and dryer. The salesman asked about the brand of our washer and dryer, and sold us the very inexpensive part needed to stack the appliances we had at home. Money saved! Recently, in search of double wall ovens, we yet again returned to Kelly's. This time we met Todd Edgar. We had done a *lot* of research and were pretty sure of what we wanted. Todd really knows his stuff! He answered our questions, provided knowledgeable insight, and researched our concerns. I especially appreciated his ability to communicate information clearly. And his patience is quite commendable. If you're looking for an appliance, go see Todd!

Then several months later the sprayer blade broke again, after it was out of warranty. We figured out that due to the dishwasher not being level that the sprayer blade was getting caught up in the pool of water caused by the unbalanced unit. We contacted Kelly's to see if they at least had a leveling bolt we could get / purchase and were told that the person who installed the unit would contact us, which never happened. Ultimately we got a leveling bolt for free from a local appliance repair store (thank you) and fixed the dishwasher ourselves, but we had to buy two sprayer blades and deal with a leaking /overflowing dishwasher due to their bad installation job.
