I won't return. Service was nonexistent and portions were similar. The location on the water is pretty swampy. Better value at McDonald's.

Came here on a weekday for lunch and overall had a pretty solid experience! Was seated fairly quickly and the vibes were great - we were right by the water on one of the rare sunny and warm days in Ithaca. The food itself was good. I got the steak burger, which was one of the more expensive items on the menu. The meat was cooked medium rare, like I asked and seasoned very well. However, I do wish the portions were a bit bigger. It also did take quite a while for the food to come out, despite there not being too many people at the restaurant.

Aus and I stopped by on our way back to Indiana. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, outside by the water in the sun! (And umbrellas if you prefer) There are tables inside as well. Food was delicious, I had the French toast and he had the chicken club sandwich. A little cafe for breakfast/lunch 10/10. Relaxing little place!

I had the grilled salmon salad. Good for keto. 3oz salmon, parmesan cheese, mushrooms, onions, lettuce, and I had them hold the croutons. Mom had the fried haddock, it was a little dark for Mom's taste. For dessert we will try the strawberry short cake. Biscuits with strawberries, Vanilla Ice cream, and whipped topping. Strawberry short cake served over a biscuit rather than a cake reminds me of my childhood. Ambiance We sat on the deck. It has an amazing view and it was a great day. We will come back and ask for the haddock but not as dark. Service was very good.

Cute location right on the water with a nice outdoor seating area. It was definitely a nice location for breakfast and lunch as it was pretty busy even at 8am on a Sunday. I got the crab eggs Benedict and it was a nice take on an old classic. One thing that I will say is that the store is currently very understaffed as only 2 waiters were on for the whole location and one was being newly trained. While I understand and I appreciate the service it did take 20+ min to get a bill after asking for it. Just something to keep in mind if on a time crunch.

Really excellent outdoor views with outdoor dining overlooking the water. When we were dining, there was only one waitresses busting her butt doing all the work, including clearing tables - my kudos to her... she was friendly and working her buns off. The food was so so... my corned beef hash was not corned beef but potatoes with bits of fried ham scattered through the potatoes, the over-easy eggs were overdone also. My wife's Greek salad was a mess, both in presentation and taste, and the order of scallops was supposed to have wedge potatoes and instead came with potato chips. Recommended for the view, but order carefully.

Food was delicious! The service was so friendly and welcoming. It's a homely place so definitely not brand new but you can tell the history is there. Definitely recommend.

Recommended "Crab Benedict", very very delicious!!! Brunch specials for a perfect weekend morning, thank you so much Jen! Everyone was super friendly, Nautical vibes inside, and they also have outside patio tables which is very cute! Great coffee which was the perfect pick me up! (Refills included!) Covid guidelines: masks inside till your seated (they have both indoor/outdoor dining)

From the building and decor, to the drinks and decor, NOLA is everywhere on the menu and in the restaurant. We started with a State Street Hurricane (dark and light rum, passionfruit, and lime) and a Spicy Margarita, which were both great. We had a half dozen of both of their oyster selections (Malpeque from PEI and Spindrift from MA), which they serve with freshly shaved horseradish (a nice touch). Then we shared a Caesar salad, their fish fry, and their special of the night - pan-seared arctic char (with a creamy tomato sauce with capers, cheesy grits, and garlicy spinach). Everything was great. As usual, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we couldn't eat everything we ordered. But the food was so good we ate most of our leftovers the next day for breakfast. The service was very good, and the vibes are great - it's comfortable, casual, and fun. We had a fun meal and some great food. I'd happily return.

However, did love the elevated feel of a typical American bistro. We thought the service could've been more attentive, but improved as the evening progressed. Our waitress was super nice and was helpful in explaining the menu specials and answering any questions we had. Most notably on the menu, the NY strip was a perfect medium rare. We opted to get the 4 jumbo shrimp on the side, which we thought retained a nice snap when we bit into it. It was also well seasoned, while still displaying its freshness. The fries complemented the steak, but was too well done for our liking. Our other entree, the lobster mac and cheese, had a nice cheese pull. We liked the added roasted tomatoes in the baked mac and cheese, which gave it a necessary acidity that countered the creamy, cheesy roux. For our appetizer, we chose the meat and cheese board, which was really solid. Appreciated the waitress explaining the selection, as well as the addition of a sour cherry jam and pickles on the side. This gave us a lot of mix and match options (64 to be exact), and we also liked how it came with charred/toasted bread. Finally, we wrapped up with a chocolate peanut butter parfait and key lime pie. Both were really good (get both if possible, but we liked the latter more).

The bartender wasn't just friendly--he was a legit mixologist and bourbon enthusiast, which led to some great pours and even better conversation. Food-wise, Antler's seriously delivered. The crab cakes were the real deal--actual lumps of crab, not breading disguised as seafood. The Texas pot stickers sounded questionable at first but turned out to be a revelation. And then came the star: El Diablo Fresh Atlantic salmon, with a horseradish crust and house-pickled sweet pepper preserves that made us want to applaud the kitchen. We're "let's share everything" diners, which usually saves us from dessert... but our server talked us into cheesecake bread pudding à la mode. My recent…read morebrunch experience included ordering a Where the West Begins omelette, which includes "Braised short rib, butternut squash, red onion jam, spinach, smoked gouda". I wasn't sure how to feel about butternut squash with everything else (I'm not necessarily a huge squash fan - but I'm trying to learn to enjoy it), but the omelette was decent... it's the other side on my plate that looked less than appetizing. The biscuit was still covered in flour (and who wants to bite down on a clump of flour?), the cheddar hashbrown casserole lacked in flavor, and the brown sugar cinnamon oatmeal just... wasn't doin' it for me. Other recent experiences have been similar... there's usually one item on the plate that's flavorful or imventive (sometimes a main dish, sometimes a side), and the other parts of the plate are lacking. In reality, I think MIX is suffering a bit from rising food costs and inconsistency in their service and offerings. They've also changed the style of their menu from the original tapas-style to now being more typical entree options. Again... they've lost some of their innovative, experimental approach. In terms of ambiance, it really depends. I've been here for a work event and, because of the number of people, it was SO LOUD... they had also done a buffet offering for the event. As you can imagine, the food from the buffet was lacking, but that's often what happens when you're more mass producing your food (and it's left in a chafing dish, trying to be kept warm). On the other hand, I've been here for a dinner on a random night and was able to enjoy one of their Thai noodle bowls (and split some other apps with friends). The reality is that experiences at MIX are... well... a mix. Whether service, menu offerings, etc., I've found MIX's recent inconsistencies to be a disappointment. Will probably only visit in the future if it's suggested by others.
