Kelly was my go to girl. She always did a great job on my nails - beautiful pink & white. Unfortunately she sold the shop & the new owners are horrific! I was there the week after she sold the business, and I will never go back. After I got into the seat & the started to remove the previous job they then informed me that they don't do pink & white, only french manicures. Okay, I was willing to go with that. So it think it was the owner's wife started to remove the old nails to prep for the new. About 10 minutes after she started the new owner walked in to take over, that is when I was finally informed that they didn't do pink & whites. After he finished removing the old acrylic & put the new one, he handed me over to someone else. At first they didn't even bother to make sure my nails were properly filed. At least 3 were filed at an angle, rather than the rounded I had asked for. Then when she started putting on the white each nail had a different amount. While I was sitting getting my nails done, another customer came in because 1 of the nails she had put on the day before had come off & another was barely hanging on. Rather than fix her nail he handed her some nail glue to do it herself. When she left he started talking shit about her to the other customers in the shop. How very unprofessional the whole experience was. I miss Kelly! Frankly if I could give this zero stars I would. read more

First time here at Kelly's... And verdict is? I will be back! I had Thu and she did a great job on my spa pedicure ($38). I have slight ingrown toenails on my big toes, and she quickly relieved them with little to no pain at all. The paint job is amazing. Corner to corner, side to side, just how I like it. This is a small and cozy nail salon, and as a nail technician, this meets my standards in terms of service. I love how they numbered their regular nail polishes with coordinating gel polishes. Easy to find matching colors! This place will not disappoint you. A total recommendation! read more

I came here for a gel mani. The women helping me let my nails soak in a bowl of acetone for all of 2 minutes and began PEELING my nail polish with a cuticle cutter! When I asked to soak for longer she just put that hand back and continued doing the same with the other hand. I have sensitive nails so I could feel the resistance my nails were presenting. I finally just got up an left. If my mani could not be REMOVED properly then how could I expect the rest of the mani to go? NO THANK YOU! read more

My experience here was way different than I thought it would be. I got my gel mani & pedi from the owner. It was the most snobby, rude, curt service I ever had in this area's nail salons. Her skill should be better than this but how she behaved in a lazy, careless, unprofessional manner. I made an appointment before I arrived but she asked my name and time about 5times. That was just the beginning of the lousy service. She didn't clean up the cuticles well and before she started the color didn't let me wash my hands. She just started to put the colors on over the nail dust. After a careless nail polish, she was cleaning up my feet while she was watching TV and dropped my fractured toe on to the footatand and didn't say a thing. It just amazed me how she behaved during the service and after I spent $80 (include tips) in less than one hour..it was a total waste of my time. I wonder how she got the good reviews here .. I had been wanting to check this place out since it is less than a block away from where I live and finally got a chance to today. Went in at 3:45 on a Thursday and for a gel mani and pedi and was told that they didn't have time to take me when 1. They don't close until 7 and 2. There were only 2 other customers. I asked if they take walk ins and they said yes so it doesn't make sense that they wouldn't be able to take me when they weren't even busy. ***edit. I just need to write a quick review to rave about how wonderful my experience was! I looked at a lot of reviews for Kelly's and was hesitant at first, but all of the "high end" waxing shops were booked so I decided to give Kelly's a try. I needed a lip and brow wax and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. My eye brows look killer sharp and the mustache is gone! My technician was incredibly attentive as well as very friendly. We chatted the whole time; and to top it off I came half an hour early and they took me right when I walked in! I highly recommend for any waxing treatments you might need done! I am a long time customer. I love going to Kelly's. Kelly and her staff are friendly and professional. As an RN, I can say that the salon is clean, the equipment sterilized between uses, and now open during phase 3 of the pandemic opening, Kelly has done a great job protecting her customers and staff. Appointments are a must, but if not busy, she'll accomodate you. She is very strict with following the guidelines and I felt safe. She also used LED for gel manicures ( important because UV can cause skin cancer).The color selection is fantastic too! Never had a bad manicure. I highly recommend. read more

never coming back here ever again. i can't believe i spent $40 on dip. i never been more disappointed in my nails then today. i don't know the ladies names but she was so rude and rushed through the whole process. how is my nails already scratched when i just got them done not even 10 minutes ago. and i ended up with blood and blue dip all over my fingers. it looks like smurf just threw up on me. I went in last minute on a Saturday afternoon for an overdue pedicure. No wait, I was greeted and told to pick a polish and was sat in a chair promptly after. My feet were in rough shape but the woman who did my pedicure did an amazing job. She shaped out my nails and painted them with such precision, cleaning up any paint outside my nail immediately. I got regular polish and it's so crisp it looks like gel! For $23, a great job was done. Unfortunately I live in the North Shore so I can't be a regular, but this place will be my go to whenever I'm visiting Quincy. There's also a good amount of street parking and if that's not available to you, there's the Big Y plaza right across the street. read more

What am I missing? I don't understand the good reviews. Called and asked when next available appointment was, told to come at 430. Came at 425 and wasn't taken until 510 (if it wasn't easter weekend, I would have left). Place is tiny, didn't seem that clean (I didn't notice my tech wash her tools from the pedicure before me), and only one hand dryer fan was working so me and the lady next to me kept hitting each other. On top of that, a man who I guess worked there hovered over my seat with his arms crossed the entire time my nails were getting painted...not sure why he was watching her paint them, but I have never had such an awkward/uncomfortable experience at a salon. Oh after she told me I was all set and moved me to the dryer, I had to ask the woman to remove the polish that was all around my nails/fingers with a brush since she did such a sloppy job (see photo for example...how do you leave someone's nails looking like that?
