Made an early morning appointment, and 10 minutes into the appointment they had another client walk and and told my wife to wait so he could take care of the walk in, "Just wait 10 minutes". 15 minutes later more people walked in, and finally two new ladies walk in and start with the nails, but grabbed wrong color. Needed to be done by 9:30, they said they could do it, 9:30 came around and still not close to done, had to leave for another appointment with unfinished treatments and they refused to let her leave until she venmo'd the amount as their POS was down. Really disappointed. I made an appointment and they were 20 min late, then only spent 15 min on my gel French manicure. Every nail has an uneven and unsymmetrical white line and there were noticeable bumps in the polish from the rushing that I had to ask to fix. I came to Bella Lash Nail in Newton because of the many positive reviews I saw online and was genuinely excited to try them out. I am new to Newton and on the market for a new nail place. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I showed them a clear photo of the design I wanted...something simple and tasteful. I understand designs may not be exact, but what I received looked nothing like the reference image. When I tried to express my concerns, the staff was not only dismissive, but downright rude. There was no effort to understand or correct the issue, yet I was still charged $75 for nails I'm now heading to another salon to get fixed. What made me even more uncomfortable was the clear difference in treatment I observed. While I truly don't want to jump to conclusions, I couldn't help but notice that their white clientele were offered water and treated with a level of courtesy I did not receive. It left me wondering if race played a role in how I was treated. To top it off, after all of this, they actually asked if I wanted to Venmo them a tip. I couldn't believe it. I would NOT recommend this place. UPDATE: About an hour later, I went back and asked them to remove and redo the set. They agreed to just take the nails off and refund me the $75. While this wasn't the outcome I was hoping for--because I really just wanted a decent set of nails--I do appreciate that they ultimately gave me my money back. That said, I still would not recommend this place. This has never happened. I had to go to the doctor and get it professionally drained and the doctor told me without a doubt it came from unclean practices at my nail salon. He suggested it before I even brought up the nail salon. No one should have to be on antibiotics for a manicure. Truly disgusted that whatever the state of their materials are that it is so bad it can give someone an infection. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! disastrous job and disappointing management response I was about to go out of the country for 3 weeks so I wanted the best nail treatments that will last that long. I was advised to do a dip at $52 . I had A dip done on 8/19 and on 8/26, only 7 days after the dip, the first nail popped out. A second nail popped out a few days later and by time I got back from my trip each hand had only 2 nails with the dip. see pictures with dates. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I didn't have a very good experience. First, I had an appointment made for 4PM but I had to wait 20 min for them to get to me. Then, the girl put my gel nails in foil to remove them and told me that it takes 5-7 min. 15 min later, my nails will still soaking in hardcore acetone. It seems like she went on a break and forgot about me. Eventually, another person jumped in to take the gel off, when they noticed that I had just been left to sit there. Second, when the girl returned, she was grumpy and not friendly at all. She even got upset with me when my nails were not under the light the right way. Third, although the nails looked good at first, I had a major gel chip come off my nail just two days after the appointment. I guess she did a bad job as well. Sad! Two family members and I went to get standard manicures this week. We called a week ahead of time to make an appointment for 3 manicures at once, which they confirmed via a text message. However, when we arrived they didn't have our appointments in the system and were a bit unfriendly about it. After fifteen minutes of waiting, they were able to "fit us in" per se, first 1 person then the other 2 of us after that. Manicures were good although a little rushed. Overall, solid experience, but word of warning that if you make appointments I would recommend calling the day before to confirm again and still give yourself extra time in case there are scheduling issues! UPDATE: The owner Ann reached out to me and described that there was a family emergency which contributed to the scheduling situation today. She offered a free gel manicure in the future. I went here by myself and enjoyed it then I went with my mother and was disappointed. Ann was very nice and try to smooth everything out and apologize for such bad customer service from her worker. The only guy in there was great he did my nails and feet was very gentle and fix all the leftover polish. The lady who did my mom's nails was horrible made so many mistakes and did not fix them and Ann had to do my mom nails over and then another worker was very aggressive and trying pick a fight. I give 3 stars due to my nails and not 5 due to horrible customer service and I will not be back. This business has had two chances to make it right. First as I said in my original review, my friend and I went together and my friend wrote an initial poor review. The response she received from "Tammy" was relatively gracious and offered some discount in order to attempt to make things right. That could've been the end of it. My friend and I might have taken Tammy up on it and gone back and an update would have been added to my friend's review to say this place was deserving of the mysterious five star reviews (many of which are written, strangely, by people who have written no other reviews.) However this business has somehow managed to have my friend's initial review deleted. I've now written my own which matches my friend's review about our experience and how we felt we were treated poorly, and the response this time is not any attempt to make things right. In fact, Tammy seems to be making it sound like it's my fault we were over charged because there was a sign near the nail polish?? Sorry Tammy, that's not good enough. A sign doesn't excuse the fact that the extra expense wasn't mentioned during the several minutes that were spent touting the praises of this nail polish in order to get us to choose it. In total this company has had several chances to do right by actual real customers (as opposed to suspected fake reviews) and they have failed. Their star rating is suspiciously too good to be true considering how they treat people. Avoid them at all costs. read more

This my first time going to this establishment. I scheduled last minute for a deluxe pedicure and a "regular manicure" and was quoted $56. "Sophia" did both and wonderfully. She did a fantastic job on the deluxe pedicure and really relaxed me. She knew I had a time limitation and ensured my manicure was done quickly but well. My ONLY issue/point of feedback is to clean up the run over on red polished pedicures (there is a couple of toes with tiny spots hardly noticeable.
